The first full trailer for Disney's highly-anticipated Frozen sequel has dropped, and it definitely has a darker atmosphere than the first flick.

The trailer shows similar themes to the first film, of siblings defying the odds and belting out some great ballads, but they face an even bigger challenge this time around.

The clip shows Elsa (Idina Menzel) running towards a dark and stormy sea, but her magical powers don't seem to be rescuing her from peril.

The troll Pabbie (Ciarán Hinds) begins a voiceover explaining about the dark world of enchantments up north, where Elsa and Anna are heading.

“Elsa, the past is not what it really seems- you must find the truth,” he says. “We have always feared Elsa’s powers were too much for this world. Now we must hope they are enough.”

A wild adventure outside of Arendelle is in the works, but will it be too dangerous for the sisters and their friends? The royal siblings are possibly searching for answers behind their parents' past.

The first film garnered over $1.2 billion in revenue worldwide, and the sequel's production values look a lot higher.

The audience is shown stunning, more detailed landscapes of forests, mountains and seas alongside our favourite characters; Anna (Kristen Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Olaf (Josh Gad).

The trailer doesn't give anything away about the soundtrack for the sequel, but we're sure Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have some great songs in store for us.

Frozen 2 will be released November 22 in all cinemas.

It seems like such a long time ago when Frozen first hit our screens, bringing incredible music, stunning animation and beautiful characters for every age to enjoy. Let It Go became an anthem, winning dozens of awards along the way.

Our favourite ice Queen Elsa and her loving sister Anna were torn apart as children when Elsa's magical powers became too hard to control.

The massively successful film saw the siblings reunite alongside some hilarious and charming friends; the comedic snowman Olaf, stubborn Kristoff and his trusty reindeer, Sven.

Finally, a trailer for the much-anticipated sequel has been released, and Elsa doesn't look like she's in Arendelle anymore.

Elsa must brave an entirely new element in the teaser trailer from Disney, which shows the Queen (played by Idina Menzel) conquering a gigantic wave of the ocean and joining familiar faces like Princess Anna, Olaf and Kristoff.

Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck once again join forces for the film, as well as song-writer married couple Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Lee is co-writing the script with Hidden Figures scribe Allison Schroeder, hinting to Variety that the upcoming adventure will be "bigger" and "more epic" than the initial release; “They’re going to go far out of Arendelle."

Frozen became an instant sensation after it was released back in 2013, raking in over $1.3 billion at the box office, as well as two Academy Awards.

It's also the highest-grossing animated film ever made, and the 13th biggest flick of all time. It was even adapted as a Broadway musical last year, and was nominated for three Tonys.

Frozen 2 hits the cinemas on November 22, get ready for the return of our favourite magical sisters.

After much anticipation, the Frozen 2 release date has finally been announced.

Surprisingly, it has been nearly five whole years since the first film came out.

But the movie is as relevant as ever. There were a ridiculous amount of Elsa and Anna costumes this Halloween.

Well, now the Disney sequel will be in theatres on November 22, 2019, which is just over a year away.

Previously, there were rumours of its release on November 29, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the date has been scheduled for a week earlier.

It is easy to see why the original film was such a box office hit.

While the sequel's plot is still unknown, we know the main cast will be returning for the animated film.

And since it's taking so long for them to finish filming, we know it's going to be amazing!

If Frozen hasn't captivated the world already, Zayn Malik as hopped on the bandwagon in his latest Dubmash video.

The ex-boyband member shared a video on Twitter, where he lip-sync's some of Olaf's lines.

He clearly thinks the video is as funny as we think it is because he's laughing to himself all the way along.

Now, we love Olaf, but an Olaf-Zayn mash-up could get seriously messy in the future. Who knew he was such a big fan?!

Only yesterday, Zayn shared a photo to his Instagram page with his new girl, Gigi Hadid.

She was visiting him in London all weekend, so no doubt she was behind-the-scenes giggling as he filmed the Olaf video.

The pair really seem to be taking their relationship to the next level – but that doesn't stop Gigi from being a bit shy about it as she was seen hiding her face when she entered his hosue.

Taylor Swift's 1989 tour has come to an end (at least its North American leg has), and the superstar certainly impressed her fans in Tampa, Florida last night.

And with it being Halloween and all, Taylor decided to dress up as one of the world's most loved characters; Olaf from Frozen.

Of course the crowd went WILD as Taylor emerged in the snowman get-up, but it was her next guest that delighted her fans.

Ms Swift welcomed Idina Menzel, the Broadway star whose Frozen hit Let It Go reached the Top 10 of the Hot 100 last year.

The 1989 tour will officially wrap for good on December 12 in Melbourne, Australia but since this was the last American show, she made sure it was one to remember.
