We're obsessed and we don't care.

American Horror Story is outrageous, gruesome, jump-out-of-your-skin, nightmarishly terrifying – and we wouldn't have it any other way.

And the new season, American Horror Story: 1984 is on its way to scare the sh*t out of us again.

Mark your diaries – it will be on screens on September 18.

This time, the show will be set in the 1980s (duh) and it takes inspiration from slasher flicks for that decade.

I mean, what more could we want?

Horror lovers have been spoiled as of late – with Stephen King makes left right and center, the master that is Jordan Peele, Stranger Things' and ANOTHER Halloween movie set for 2020.

Fans of 80s horror will love this season – think Friday the 13th vibes.

It's set in – where else – a summer camp.

And from the creepy trailer, we see a young girl being chased through a forest by a hooded, knide-wielding man.

She reached a house but the attacker puts the knife through the wood and she lets out a piercing scream.

The only sh*t thing about this season is that Evan Peters, the King of American Horror Story, will not be featuring in it.

However, Emma Roberts will be back and Gus Kenworthy is set to lay her boyfriend.

This season won't be the last – we have another two to look forward to.

In the meantime, we might just re-watch old seasons to get us in the mood…
