It looks like Rihanna isn't the only one who can post cryptic messages in the aftermath of a break-up if Drake's latest Instagram offering is anything to go by.

In a move which has fans and followers questioning just what went on between himself and the We Found Love singer, Drake shared a pretty sombre shot and accompanied it with an even more mournful message.

The post, which has clocked up 622,000 likes in just a day, suggested that Drake was having trouble with the fall-out from his split with Rihanna.

Offering the Hotline Bling singer some support, one fan wrote: "I am praying for you. You are much stronger than you think. You need to find yourself Drake."

"Let go of Rih for now. I know it’ll be hard cos you love her but it is best." they added.

Drake's post comes after Rihanna threw shade at her exes in a message on Instagram earlier this week.

After taking what seemed like an eternity to finally get together and confirm their relationship, Rihanna and Drake have reportedly gone their separate ways after less than three months together.

With Drake publicly declaring his love for the Work singer at this year's VMAs, fans of the stars saw a real future for the couple, but it looks like we all just jumped the gun a little.

According to an insider, the famous couple have decided to cool things down and are even back on the dating scene.

"Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment. They are not exclusive anymore." the source revealed.

"They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way." they added.

Offering a kernel of hope to die-hard fans of the couple, the insider told E! that their split doesn't mean they won't give it a go again in the future.

"Anything can change between them though, for better or worse," they explained. "They are still in each other's lives."

But with reports that Drake has been hanging out with India Love and Rihanna throwing shade at her exes online, we're not holding out too much hope on this one.

Her relationship with Drake might be something of a modern fairy tale, but that doesn’t mean Rihanna has always had a happy love life.

In what appears to be a random dis of her former flames, the Work singer has taken to Instagram to share a rather cryptic message with the world.

Yesterday, the Barbadian beauty used the site to post a popular meme which reads: “None of my exs are married or in happy relationships so it’s safe to say that I wasn’t da problem lol.”

The 28-year-old star captioned the post with a hashtag and gold cup emoji.

Fans have been quick to speculate that the message is intended for Chris Brown, who has failed to maintain a relationship with his on/off girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

This little legend celebrated her sixth birthday recently, and had a Drake themed party! 

Her birthday wasn't just any kid's birthday — because Leah really loves the rapper Drake, her mom, Lex Saldivar, told BuzzFeed News. So Leah's mom came through and surprised her daughter with a Drake-themed birthday.

According to Buzzfeed,  Leah loves Drizzy so much that she asked her mum for a party dedicated to the Toronto-based rapper… amazing! 

It was completely decked out with custom OVO-imprinted decor. Leah's mom even got the color scheme right.

Leah's mum said that “she loves everything about his music. She recently said she wanted to marry Drake when she’s older.”

This kid is our spirit animal…

The party had balloons with Drakes face on them, held down by mini bottles of Hennessy whiskey (the rappers drink of choice). 

Leah also had a Drake inspired cake, and party favours with the Take Care singers face on them.

The birthday girl wore a special Drake themed hoodie to her party, paired with a large gold chain and Timberland boots… so gangster!

Drizzy surprised his LUCKY goddaughter, Ashley Murray, by coming to her game and supporting the team!

Drake made an appearance in the dressing room after the game, and gave what we can only imagine was the best motivational speech ever! 

The lucky volleyball star shared a team photo, featuring her rapper godfather. 

The team won their game 3-0, and Ashley reportedly had her best match performance of the season.

Kanye West and Drake are probably two of the biggest names in music at the moment, and now it seems they're joining forces.

In an interview with Vogue which was released yesterday, Kanye opened up about collaborating with the Hotline Bling artist.

"We're just working on music… working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio.

"We're working on an album, so there's some exciting things coming up soon," he said.

Not just one song… an entire album!

Mr West kept his lips sealed regarding the release date, but hopefully it'll be soon.

We thought Drake was in romance-bliss with Rihanna this week, but it seems he has something else on his mind.

Drake has a new business venture and it sounds quite… interesting.

Called The Ballet, Drake SWEARS it's not a strip-club, yet, it features bikini-clad women dancing under showers of raining dollar bills. Yes, you read that right.

We'll let Drake explain it to you: "“There’s a culture out there of dancing and it’s not about no strip club shit,” he said in a video from last night’s event.

“It’s about these amazing women that we’ve got in one spot, this music that we’ve got, this Houston culture that we’ve got. I just want to let you know that I’m going to bring it to you in the most honest and genuine way possible.”

He also took a page out of Jada Pinkett Smith's Magic Mike XXL handbook and said he wants to put women "on a pedestal.

"Tonight is a different take on how it should be done in Houston. Treat yourself don't cheat yourself. Where the women are on a pedestal and the surroundings are unforgettable. Grand opening early 2017."

Between VMA love declarations and heartfelt Instagram tributes, things between Rihanna and Drake seem to be moving at a surreal pace.

And since their suspected romance appears to be going from strength to strength, it is little wonder that fans have already found a link between RiRi’s latest tattoo and the One Dance singer.

Earlier this week the award winning songstress visited New York City’s Bang Bang tattoo parlour to have a camo shark tattooed to her ankle, and while to most people this may seem relatively insignificant, diehard fans have already found a place for it in the Rihanna/Drake love story.

According to Glamour, the Canadian rapper recently bought a camo shark for the Diamonds star while on a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium.

And while to many the shark may look like any old shark, Rihanna’s new ink does look suspiciously similar to the camo shark that Drake gifted her with.

Rihanna and Drake have been teasing us for years now.

On the surface they can look like BFFs but underneath it all, ARE they in a relationship?

Given that they've been out every single night together since the VMAs, it certainly looks like the latter.

And to top it all off, Rihanna just posted the most heartfelt tribute to her VMA win and took to Instagram to thank all the people behind her (cough, Drake).

In a lengthy message on Instagram her rumoured beau was obviously given a mention.

For years fans have watched eagerly as Drake and Rihanna combined their musical talents, got steamy on stage and denied having a romantic relationship.  

But now – just days after the Canadian rapper professed his love for RiRi on the VMA stage – it looks like the pair have at long last made it official.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source close to Rihanna has revealed that the high profile performers are “definitely a couple”.

The source said: “They are fully dating…No one really knows how long they have been ‘official’ – they just decided to let it become a thing instead of hiding it from everyone.  They’re happy.”

On Sunday night Drake melted the Internet with a loving speech dedicated to the Diamonds singer as he presented her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Describing Rihanna as “one of [his] best friends in the world” the One Dance hitmaker confessed to being in love with the star since he was 22 years old.

The news comes as Rihanna’s ex Chris Brown is arrested at the end off a dramatic police standoff which began with a claim that he had pointed a gun at a woman.

Looks like Drake’s Work finally paid off.

Ever since the Video Music Awards aired on Sunday night, everyone has been talking about Drake and Rihanna.

After declaring his love for her on-stage in front of millions, most people crossed their fingers and hoped that it might just be the real thing for the Hotline Bling singer.

Most people, that is, except Rihanna's ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

According to Hollywood Life, the rapper, who was charged with assaulting Rihanna in 2009, has little time for Drake's heartfelt declarations.

"Drake‘s doing too much and Chris is laughing at him behind his back," a source told the website. "Between the billboard and the speech – that’s not being a gentlemen, that’s just being corny."

Chris, who is no position to dole out advice on how to treat a woman, is also fairly certain that his ex-girlfriend is nowhere near as interested in Drake as he is in her.

"Drake is trying to be all smooth, but he’s failing because Rihanna doesn’t want him," the insider added.

Well, we'll let Rihanna be the judge of that one, Chris.
