A new wax figure of Conor McGregor was unveiled in The National Wax Museum yesterday evening.

'We are all excited to exhibit the new wax figure of Conor, particularly in light of the unprecedented level of worldwide attention being focused on his upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather on Saturday 26th August,' the museum’s marketing manager, Laoise Keaveney told The Irish Times.

However, after the hotly anticipatd work was revealed, it was completely slated by Twitter users, who felt that the wax work was less than impressive.

Some art critics feel that the wax work isn't a very accurate representation of the national treasure.

Conor McGregor will soon be adding silver screen star to his list of accolades.

The MMA icon is about to find success outside of the octagon, as Universal Studios has just leaked a teaser trailer for an upcoming biopic all about the Irish star.

The film, aptly titled Notorious, is set to still be in the filming process, to capture the hugely anticipated McGregor vs Mayweather fight.

'History. All left when I'm gone,' begins a speech by Conor in the trailer.

The film was shot over four years, and is set to document his explosive career and humble beginnings.

'Notorious is the exclusive, all-access account of Conor’s meteoric rise from claiming benefits and living in his parent’s spare room in Dublin to claiming multiple championship UFC belts and seven figure pay-packets in Las Vegas,' reads the film's description.

'Featuring unprecedented access, never before seen moments and explosive fight footage, this is the ultimate behind-the-scenes look at a sporting icon and his spectacular rise from the bottom to the very top.'

There is no word yet on when the film will be out, but we can already tell it will be a box office breakthrough.

It's safe to say that Conor McGregor, er… blew us all away when he turned up to his first boxing press conference wearing a rather bespoke suit.

The three-piece suit looked like it was pin stripe, but when you took a closer look, it actually had 'F*ck You' written all over it.

While verbally taking down Floyd Mayweather, Conor announced that the suit was from his very own line, August McGregor, and now ladies and gentleman, it's available to buy.

You might have to empty your purses though, because the woollen get-up is selling for $6,500 (€5,580).

Pricey, eh?

As stated on the August Inc website, the suit is made-to-measure, and will take 12-15 weeks to make.

The designer, David August, told GQ, "We're only producing a limited quantity, which will be numbered and signed by myself so it will be an exclusive group who own this style."

We don't think we'll see any of these floating around Dublin anytime soon…

We've all seen our fair share of ridiculous tattoos floating around the internet, but this most recent discovery really takes the cake.

Last week, Conor McGregor took to the stage to face off against Floyd Mayweather in a press call, and all eyes were on the subtle message hidden in his bespoke suit.

Instead of pinstripes lining the garment, the MMA icon had requested that the phrase 'f*** you' be etched on the suit hundreds of times in tiny writing, to mimic a pinstripe.

In homage to this pretty amazing fashion moment, someone has gone and gotten the same pattern tattooed on their skin.

We wish we were kidding, but feast your eyes on the photographic evidence.

Uploaded by Benchwarmers, an unknown male can be seen with the same pattern etched in permanent ink on his upper forearm.

Naturally, everyone is going mad in the comments section, and none are too impressed with the ink.

We understand why people get tattoos to glorify their icons, but this is definitely going a bit too far.

So, the guys over at Bad Lip Reading are famous for putting hilarious spins on some of the best moments in popular culture and they have truly knocked it out of the park with their latest instalment.

Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather made headlines around the world this week as they battled in out in a number press conferences ahead of their mega money fight next month.

From Conor's pinstripe suit, to accusations of racism, their meetings have been filled with a host of bizarre and often cringe-worthy moments.

And after a week full of nonsensical ramblings from the pair, a parody video has emerged to breath new life into the situation.

Take a look.

The video posted on the Bad Lip Reading Youtube channel racked up almost three million views in just 48 hours – and it's not hard to see way.

Using footage from the Toronto press conference, the BLR crew did what they do best and dubbed over the clip with complete an utter gibberish – which to be honest, probably wasn't too far from the original conversation.

We don't reckon either party will be too impressed, but hey, at least we got a laugh out of it.

Last night, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather faced off  for the third time this week ahead of their mega money fight on August 26.

Earlier this week, The Notorious was accused of racism after telling his rival to “dance for me boy” during their stop in Toronto – claims Conor has since denied.

However, the UFC star's latest comments have not done him any favours.

Taking to the mic last night, Conor said, “I want to address something."

“Some of the media seems to think I’ve got something against black people."

“But I’m half black. I’m black from the bellybutton down!”

No. Just, no.

The comments have gathered a mixed reaction on social media.

MMA icon Conor McGregor is set to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing showdown of epic proportions.

Former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather confirmed the fight via Twitter last night, uploading a video giving details of the upcoming boxing match.

The fight is scheduled for August 26 this year, and will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It will be a standard, 12-round boxing match with 10-ounce gloves

Conor McGregor also took to Twitter to confirm the fight, but in typical cheeky McGregor fashion.

The national treasure uploaded a side-by-side snap of himself and Mayweather's father, with the caption 'THE FIGHT IS ON,' which fans are speculation is a dig at Mayweather's age.

This dig comes two years after  McGregor told Esquire that he would 'kill' Mayweather in 'less than 30 seconds.'

It is reported that both fighters stand to earn $100 million from the fight.

To be fair, for 100 million dollars, even we would try to fight McGregor…

Two Irish brothers have just created the most amazing mosaic of Conor McGregor – and it's made entirely out of Lego.

The incredible piece of art measures just under four feet by four feet and took approximately two months to complete.

Jay and Mark Byrne are big fans of both Lego and McGregor and thought, hey, why don't we put our interests to good use.

Mark told the Irish Mirror, "We're fans of McGregor and big fans of Lego so we thought we would combine the two together and make this.

"We had to design it on the computer so between that and actually making it it took us between two and two and a half months.

"The computer design took about a week and then the Lego part there is about 300 hours in it, myself and Jay had to make time with work and everything.

The pair are part of the adult Lego group, Brick.ie, and say that even though the project was a costly one to undertake, it was all worth when they saw the end result.

“There was well over €2,000 worth of Lego in it, it's a very expensive hobby.”

The brothers have said they would be willing to sell the piece if the offer is right, adding that Conor would be more than welcome to place a bid of his own.

"I wasn't planning on it but if I was offered enough money I would sell it definitely."

"If McGregor got that chequebook out he would be more than welcome to it."

The mosaic will be on show at Kildare County Show in Athy on June 18.

And who knows, maybe The Notorious himself will even pop down for a look?
