Many are still shocked over the news surrounding Peaches Geldof this evening, who died aged 25.

The socialite and model’s death was announced by police this afternoon, who are treating the television presenter’s death as “unexplained and sudden”.

Peaches father, Bob Geldof released a statement over his daughter’s sudden death:

“We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.”

Peaches Geldof was married to musician Thomas Cohen, who she had her two children, Astala and Pheadra with.

Thomas also released a statement about his wife’s death: “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day. We shall love her forever.”

It has been reported that the investors over at Disney are becoming increasingly worried that Maleficent is going to scare away movie-goers and be a flop in the box office.

Although Maleficent has been targeted more towards a young adult genre than younger children, the Disney investors are worried that the movie could do badly and cost the company millions.

The movie does look quite dark and scary and it would seem that this could affect parents wanting to bring their little ones to see the movie.

Angelina Jolie, who stars in the terrifying lead role, has admitted that her daughter, Vivienne had to star as a young Aurora because other children were so scared of Maleficent’s costume.

However, she also spoke about the importance of Maleficent in teaching young girls an important message: “It sounds really crazy to say that there will be something that’s good for young girls in this, because it sounds like you’re saying they should be a villain…[Maleficent] is actually a good person. But she’s not perfect. In general, it’s a very good message to say, ‘Let’s look at something from the other side’.”

Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays has admitted that she finds the selfie craze, a little strange.

The singer who was appearing along with her band mates on This Morning, was questioned what she thought of celebrities posting pictures of themselves on Twitter.

“I don’t enjoy the selfie. I think it’s funny that it’s become so acceptable to take pictures of yourself.”

The topic came up after the show decided to research which Saturday singer posted the most selfies.

It turned out Una Foden has the most selfies out of all of The Saturdays. But Frankie joked that if they all looked liked Una, they would be taking selfies the whole time too.

Whilst appearing on the show the band confirmed that they are not splitting up and insisted that their greatest hits album was just to mark their 17th single.

Mollie King from The Saturdays said: “Everyone is asking us, aren’t they, but it’s totally not the end.”

Miley Cyrus has proven more than once that she is not shy when it comes to stripping off. But the singer decided to show off a different side to herself, by showing off a more natural and covered up look for the May issue of Elle.

Miley is posing in a sparkly jumpsuit from Marc Jacobs, which is believed to cost $13,400 for the magazine’s cover of their annual music edition.

The 21-year-old singer shared a snap of Elle’s cover on Twitter and captioned the picture: “#ElleYeah @ELLEmagazine @MarcJacobsIntl.”

Elle also commented on Miley’s cover saying: “Cyrus is wearing a sequined tunic and matching flared pants made by her bestie Marc Jacobs (the look is from Jacobs’ most recent fall/winter 2014/2015 collection), and she channels a little David Bowie in that slouch and pout.”

Despite telling fans that he was done with tattoos for a while, Justin Bieber has decided to get inked again – this time on his neck.

It seems the 20-year-old singer got “patience” tattooed on the right side of his neck and of course had to share his new tat with his fans.

Justin posted the picture on his Instagram and you can see the singer posing with his hands together while looking at the sound board.

Bieber captioned the shot with the question: “Wondering if she’s too high maintenance?”

Could Justin’s latest tattoo be anything to do with his on-off again relationship with Selena Gomez?

It’s hard to know, but Selena has been sending strange snaps on their Instagram in the last few weeks, which have all been believed to be directed at Bieber.

A new poll carried out by The Irish Times suggests that support for same-sex marriage has risen significantly in Ireland over the last 18 months.

It would seem that the debate has intensified following a planned referendum by the government on same-sex marriage next year.

The new poll found that 67% said yes to support of same-sex marriage while 21% said no and 12% remained undecided.

These findings can be compared to a poll completed back in November that found 53% said yes to support of same-sex marriage, 30% said no and 17% remained undecided.

The poll also found that people of a younger generation are generally more in support of same-sex marriage, 80% of 18-24 year-olds asked said yes in support while only 44% of 65 year-olds and older said yes.

Women are also found to be more in favour of same-sex marriage with 73% saying yes in support in comparison to 61% of men.
