The story of Irish couple, Brendan and Maeve, will warm even the coldest of hearts this Christmas.

Maeve, who moved to London for work, was struggling being away from home, family and loved ones, so Brendan knew a big, romantic gesture was needed and man, did he deliver on it.

In a bid to make the transition for his girlfriend easier, Brendan presented the lovely Maeve with something so stunning that the only reply she could muster was “Are you having a laugh?”

Eek, this Vine of One Direction’s Liam Payne is just a little (ok, VERY) awkward…

The clip shows the singer taking selfies with his fans, but his smile swiftly fades when each selfie is done as he rapidly moves from fan to fan.

Those poor lads are busy as anything, but surely this isn’t the most genuine way to do things?

We’re not so sure a selfie with our hero would mean much if we arrived home and saw that video…

Although not due for release until July of next year, we seriously can’t wait for Pan to hit the big screen, especially now that’s we’ve seen the first official trailer!

The film's star-studded cast includes Hugh Jackman, Rooney Mara and Amanda Seyfried and tells the story of little Peter who’s kidnapped and whisked away to Neverland on a whirlwind adventure.

It can be hard for tourists in Ireland when "I will yeah" means I absolutely will not and "gee-eyed" means to be drunk. 

We can see how they could become confused. Which is why it's always fun to see them try and translate it! Facts have struck again and recorded tourists translating Irish slang – needless to say it's very entertaining.

Apparently, us ladies are famed for constantly asking our other halves what they’re thinking.

While we’re not sure we’re quite as interested in their thoughts as we’re made out to be (unless it’s to do with dinner), we seem to have a rep for only dying to know what’s going on inside our boyfriend’s heads.

Do they have the same inclination? Probably not, and frankly we’re lucky because we’ve had some seriously whopper thoughts and random questions pop up when it comes to them, us and general…stuff.

Questions and thoughts WE don’t even want to have, frankly.

Here are just twenty (yes, just twenty) musings that have flitted into our head without warning and flitted back out when we talked some sense into ourselves.

1. Can I see him standing in the kitchen at 3am making a bottle?

What! Why did I just think that?

2. Will I be able to say the words ‘my husband’ without giggling?

Probably not.

3. Is he the last new person I will have sex with?

Woah. Hold up.

4. Does his surname suit me?

This is merely a curiosity.

5. Will our sons look like him and our daughters look like me?

Thank God, he’s gorgeous.
 

6. Has he EVER thought about our wedding?

STOP! YOU haven’t even thought about your wedding…much.
 

7. My God, his friend is seriously good-looking.

Damn, did I just cheat with my emotions?

8. Am I better in bed than his ex?

  You’re better than that THOUGHT, damn it!

9. Does he know how lucky he is?

Jeez, seriously?

10. Does he know I KNOW how lucky I am?

Yeah, he must do.

11. Will my dad kick up a fuss about having to wear a waistcoat at the wedding?

What?! What wedding!

12. Am I the kind of daughter-in-law his mum would want?

You’ve met her once and you forgot her name with nerves, so probably not.

13. I wonder what that friend of his is like in bed.

Yep, definitely emotionally cheated with that one.

14. Do his mates prefer me to his ex?

Have to, surely.

15. Will he be nervous before he proposes?

Where will it happen? Will I expect it?

16. Should I break up with him… for…just…you know… no reason.

Why? Why?
 

17. Wait, do I still fancy him?

Oh my God, that’s the meanest thing I’ve ever thought.

18. Are that couple jealous of us right now?

Ah here, get over yourself.

19. Why does he make that unfunny joke ALL the time?

It makes my teeth hurt.

20. I love that colour on him.

His wedding tie should be that colour.

If they only knew.

Ariana Grande has decided to take the high road after legendary singer Bette Midler slammed her yesterday.

The young singer decided to take to her Twitter account and voice her disappointment about Bette’s words: “Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!! Always a fan no matter what my love.”

She also posted a photo of Bette in her heyday with the caption: “all love here.”

The news of Ariana’s tweets comes not long after Joni Mitchell blasted Taylor Swift’s proposed role as her in the movie, Girls Like Us.

Thankfully, the younger women seem to have a stronger sense of female solidarity and are not being lowered to making bad comments in retaliation. 

Legends like Bette and Joni, and even Aretha Franklin – who made a dig at Taylor recently – were probably heroes to Ariana and Taylor when they were kids. What a way to have your dreams dashed, eh?

More acts have been announced for Slane following the revelation that the Foo Fighters will headline. Joining the rockers at Slane Castle next May 30th will be the Kaiser Chiefs and none other than Hozier – amazing!

But that’s not the only exciting news as it was also announced that more bands will be revealed soon…eek!

Tickets are €79.50 and will be available from Monday 1st December at 9am – we better be fast, this one is bound to sell out!

It’s been two months since Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcomed their little girl into the world, and now Eva has finally opened up about becoming a new mum.

The actress was speaking on The Violet Files when she described why they chose the beautiful name Esmerelda Amada for their little girl, saying: “Ryan and I both love the Esmeralda character from the Victor Hugo novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and we just think it’s a beautiful name. Amada was my grandmother’s name. It means ‘beloved’ in Spanish.”

Eva also explained why she and Ryan chose to keep her pregnancy a secret for such a long time, saying: “Whether we like it or not, privacy is going to be very difficult for Esmeralda. I think it’s unfair but that’s our reality. Ryan and I decided early on to give her as much privacy as we could. And my pregnancy was the first opportunity to do that.”

The actress also joked that while motherhood may be a tiring job, it’s nothing compared to being a baby: “Everything is a struggle for her. For instance, I haven’t thrown up since the ‘90s and she’s thrown up twice since we started this interview. Motherhood is cake compared to what it’s like to be a baby.”

Refreshingly, she also described how she loves to find solace in other mums through the internet: “[I] read the comment section from other mothers because I find so much solace in that. Just knowing that I’m not alone out there and that other mums have gone though the same thing can at least get me through the night.”

That’s nice and all Eva, but you also have RYAN GOSLING to get you through the night – we have hot water bottles.

Wow, it seems like the women of music’s past are having some major issues with today’s stars. Yesterday, Bette Midler blasted Ariana Grande for wh***ing herself out and now Joni Mitchell has slammed Taylor Swift!

The legendary folk singer was talking about the movie, Girls Like Us, in which Taylor was rumoured to be playing her and said why she pulled the plug on the film: “I squelched that. I said to the producer, ‘All you’ve got is a girl with high cheekbones.’”

While we find it hard enough to understand Joni not appreciating Taylor’s fine cheekbones, it seem obvious that she also felt the Blank Space singer was unable to pull of her talent in the movie.

In fact, in discussing her reason to "squelch" the movie, was there any need to mention Taylor at all? Seems needlessly cruel really. 

Taylor wasn’t the only issue that Joni had with the movie however, also saying: “It’s just a lot of gossip, you don’t have the great scenes.”

We feel like the past legends of music may need to start being a bit nicer to the younger crowd, it’s getting out of hand – where is the solidarity ladies?!

We have to say, when it comes to X Factor romances, Stevi Ritchie and Sarah-Jane Crawford were not two names we would EVER have put together!

Clearly, however, Louis and Simon think differently, as they made a joke on this week’s Xtra Factor that the contestant and presenter were seeing each other – causing it to trend on Twitter!

While Stevi has now been forced to admit the couple are NOT dating, it seems he is still up for the idea, which is sweet, telling Digital Spy: “I know they’re trying to get me a date with SJ because I do have a soft spot for her, but nothing went on between me and SJ … I love her as a person, she’s a great presenter, she’s a good thing for The X Factor this year, but nothing went on, I never slept with her. I only wish!”

As far as Stevi goes, that’s sweet, we guess…sounds like we better watch this romantic space!
