Electric Picnic is just around the corner, but if you haven't managed to secure a ticket yet, never fear.

There is even more reason to head down to Stradbally this September if you are a fan of 90s tunes.

Electric Ireland, the official energy partner of Electric Picnic, has announced that it will be bringing 90s nostalgia to the masses in the form of our favourite cheesy pop tunes at the Throwback Stage.

S Club Party

If the thought of bopping to 5ive and S Club Party gets you going, then head to the Throwback Stage where both acts are headlining.

If icons Don Conroy and Dustin the Turkey bring back major memories, then prepare for a trip down memory lane.

Free tickets to the three-day festival could also be on the horizon with the help of the artist and the UNICEF ambassador(yes really).

The pair are to star on a Facebook Live game show called the ‘Electric Ireland Throwback Show’ which will air on August 23 at 8pm on the Electric Ireland Facebook page.

The show will feature a number of 90s nostalgia related games with Electric Ireland inviting people to tune in to win tickets.

So dust off your old bucket hats and rewind your Weezer tapes, because a few tickets to EP could be on the line.

Aiken Promotions are once again warning customers not to buy tickets from any secondary sellers.

The fresh concerns come after some 60 people were turned away from the ZZ Top and Brian Wilson concerts in Dublin last week.

The concert promoters say the tickets were purchased on secondary sites and as a result, the disappointed fans were not able to gain access to the venues.

"Unfortunately it is NOT likely these people will get the money they paid refunded" said Peter Aiken.

"As a promoter, it is extremely frustrating to see people being exploited like this and I would like to emphasise once again that fans should not purchase tickets from any secondary sellers."

Calling all Harry Potter fans!

Tickets for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets live concert tour are on sale now.

Earlier this year, thousands of Irish Harry Potter fans descended on Dublin's 3Arena for the orchestral extravaganza that was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone live in concert.

Following the show's massive success, concert organisers announced that the second in the series – Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, would hit venues around the UK and Ireland this December.

The live shows will feature a full live symphony orchestra, who will perform the score, note for note, as the film plays out on a massive 40-foot, high-definition screen.

The audience will be able to relive the magic of the Harry Potter's second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, while hearing an unforgettable musical performance, composed by the Oscar wining, John Willliams.

Ollie Rosenblatt, Senbla CEO, said the response to the concerts so far was overwhelming.

''Since we first launched the Harry Potter in Concert Series, the response from both film and music fans has been phenomenal. The shows really are unforgettable and remind us why Harry Potter has touched so many of us. To see these seminal films with a huge orchestra is beyond enthralling.''

''We are delighted to bring the Chamber Of Secrets to audiences around the UK and Ireland and to continue this magical and immersive experience.''

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets live concert comes to Dublin's 3Arena on December 6, 2017.

Tickets are €76.00 and are available here.

Ed Sheeran fans were left frustrated this morning as lengthy online queues requested them to 'sit tight' while their tickets were secured.

Some fans queued online for as long as three hours, with others queuing physically outside ticket vendors from as early as Wednesday evening.

However, patience was the most valuable virtue this morning as many persistent fans secured their tickets.

While there are still tickets available for the Sunday night concert in Galway and the Friday night concert in Cork on Ticketmaster, many fans were left ticketless for the particular date they wanted to attend.

Despite extra measures put in place by Ed Sheeran's team to stop touters reselling tickets, a number of Ed tickets have appeared on resale sites at inflated prices.

'Entertainment site' Viagogo is selling two tickets for Cork's Saturday gig for €348.00, while a single ticket for Dublin's Phoenix Park gig is going for €250.00.

Tickets have an original retail value of €81.00.

There are four Pearse Stadium, Galway Ed Sheeran tickets currently available to purchase on eBay for €999.99, or your best offer.

The singer's promotion company previously warned against ticket touting, and Ticketmaster also set new rules so buyers' names are printed on tickets and matched with and ID and the card they were purchased with on entry to the concert.

The entire country held it's breath as 9am approached, and hundreds of thousands of Ticketmaster tabs were opened in the hopes of getting tickets to Ed Sheeran's seven Irish gigs, scheduled for 2018.

If you didn't get tickets for his arena tour, you may have had high hopes this time around, thinking to yourself that things would be different this time.

You maybe have bemusingly laughed at the hardcore Cork zealots queuing up since Wednesday for tickets.

"Sure have they no internet or something?" you thought.

And now you are ticket-less, having joined the throng of thousands of online buyers looking to get tickets for the date you wanted who failed to get through to Ticketmaster before the gig sold out.

Tragedy has struck and you are still reeling from the emotional roller coaster.

1. Hope

The stomach churning moments up to 9am have passed, and you are finally being held in the ticket queue.

You haven't been this nervous since getting your Leaving Cert results, and though you say "I know I haven't a hope of getting them," you are secretly clinging to an intense, hopeful yearning.

It's just a matter of time until you find out if Ticketmaster has deemed you worthy…

2. False hope

OH MY GOD you're through.

Okay, time to choose your preferred seating and number of tickets.

Fingers, toes, and everything else remains crossed.

3. Denial

"Sorry, there are no tickets of this type available."

Cue manic laughter as you frantically refresh the page, change your preference to tiered seating and think "someone might have let their tickets go when they saw the bloody price, it's possible right? Right? RIGHT?"

4. Despair

"Why have you forsaken me cruel world?"

"What have I done to deserve this cosmic ridicule?

You may even still be in the virtual queue two hours later, bursting for the loo, a rasher sandwich and a cigarette simultaniously but you can't leave the laptop screen in case you get through.

5. Anger

At this point you've Snapchatted your friends, who are possibly still stuck in the despair tier of emotion, a picture of the sold out gig on Ticketmaster and you are RAGING.

"Why didn't I queue up in the lashing rain at 2am like I told myself I should have?"

6. Anger at Ed

Like, hello Ed Sheeran, have we not been through this before?

You know you are beloved in Ireland and you teased us mercilessly since your return with your Irish-themed album.

Sometimes it seems like Ed could have one of those Vegas-style residencies in Croke Park and play every night for a year and you'd still never get tickets.

7. Acceptance

Even though we all know you're lying you yourself and everyone else, saying that you don't care that you didn't get tickets to the gig of the year can help soften the sting.

And you'll see it all on Snapchat, right?

Look, there are still tickets available, so maybe make a road trip out of it if you diodn't mange to get tickets in your area?

Ed Sheeran clearly heard our complaints about the impossibility of getting tickets on his last tour, and this time around decided to play seven gigs on the Emerald Isle.

While he way have way more concerts en route, people are clearly still worried that they won't secure tickets.

In Cork, people have began queuing on Thursday evening in the hopes of securing tickets when they go on sale on Saturday morning.

The committed Sheerios have been camping out on deck chairs for the coveted tickets.

By the time the tickets go on sale, they will have been waiting well over 48 hours for them.

One man told The Independent that he has been queuing since Wednesday to secure tickets for his beloved niece.

With tickets for all seven gigs going on sale at the same time, we're thinking the avid queue folk are trying to avoid the possibility of crashing websites and endless virtual waits.

We have to commend their commitment to Ed.

Tickets for Ariana Grande's Manchester benefit concert, One Love Manchester, went on sale this morning but sold out in just six minutes.

General admission tickets cost £40 each, with much of the proceeds going toward the We Love Manchester Fund.

However, people were outraged to find tickets being sold on eBay for up to £200 mere hours after tickets had gone on sale.

According to reports, eBay have denied that they allow the sale of any tickets on the site, and promised that all tickets for the event will be automatically removed.

"We don’t allow the sale of any type of ticket on eBay so these will be removed automatically. All tickets for this event will most certainly be removed by the team who are doing manual sweeps to pick up any that slip through.

"We also aren’t allowing the sale of ANY item which profits in any way from the tragedy in Manchester. All of these items are being removed if they appear. Customers can give at checkout to the Manchester fund via the Red Cross."

Ticketmaster have also come out to say they are ''cancelling tickets of those who are reselling wherever possible.''

The three-hour long concert will be held at Manchester's Old Trafford cricket ground on Sunday, June 4, almost two weeks after the attack at the Manchester Arena took place.

Coldplay, Take That, Niall Horan, Usher, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Pharell William will all join Ariana on stage in an effort to to raise much needed proceeds and pay tribute to victims and their families.

For those of us not lucky enough to be there, the three-hour long show will air on BBC on Sunday night from 7:15pm, and donations can be mage through the We Love Manchester JustGiving page.
