Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift fans, look away now.

The singer seems to have made a pretty drastic social media decision this morning, as all of her online accounts have been deleted.

Taylor, who is one of the most followed celebrities in the world, quietly removed herself from social media platforms Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.

It is unknown whether or not the singer plans to return after a social media sabbatical, or if she plans on staying gone for good.

Fans are hoping that this wipe out means that Taylor is planning something big, like a new album.

It worked wonders for Ed Sheeran, after all.

The official Taylor Swift website has also been blacked out, so it seems likely that Taylor is gearing up to surprise fans with something new.

The social media sabbatical also comes on the three year anniversary of the release of Shake It Off, and anniversary of the announcement of her latest album 1989.

Whatever you're plotting Tay, we're ready.

While the public may have assumed that Taylor Swift's recent triumph would signal the end of her high-profile legal battle with DJ David Mueller, reports today suggest that this may not be the case.

Following the jury's ruling in recent days, Taylor expressed her thoughts on the situation, saying: "I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this."

"My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organisations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."

While Taylor is now looking to the future, the DJ at the centre of the case is focusing his time on reiterating his defence.

Appearing on ABC News, the DJ, who was found liable of assault and battery, continues to protest his innocence, and alludes to the rumour he may appeal the verdict.

Attempting to explain his proximity to the star during the now infamous meet and greet in 2013, Mueller said: "I wasn’t invited to be in the photo, so I just moved into the shot the best I could."

Insisting that Taylor's narrative misrepresents what actually took place, he asserted: "What I’m saying is I didn’t do what they say I did. I didn’t do it."

"I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt — and I can pass a polygraph test," he added.

The jury in the case awarded the Shake It Off singer with $1 after she chose to counter-sue the DJ following his decision to sue her.

Taylor Swift has been awarded a symbolic one dollar in compensation after winning her sexual assault case against DJ David Mueller.

The DJ attempted to sue Taylor after he claimed that he had lost his job after Taylor accused him of groping her at an event in 2013.

The jury came back with a guilty verdict after Taylor counter sued him for the symbolic one dollar.

There is photographic evidence of the DJ touching Taylor.

'It means 'no means no' and it tells every woman they will decide what will be tolerated with their body,'Taylor's attorney said, according to The Independent via Reuters.

'I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this,' the singer said in a statement.

'My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard.'

'Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organisations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.'

There have been few artists as divisive as Taylor Swift in recent years.

While some members of the public have happily bowed at her brogued feet, others have simply refused to buy into the star's 'wholesome' image.

And yet it looks like Taylor's recent appearance in the dock of a US court this week has managed to unite both her fans and former naysayers.

Having opted to counter-sue DJ David Mueller, who was suing her for defamation after she claimed her touched her inappropriately at a meet-and-greet in 2013, Taylor faced a barrage of questions from the DJ's lawyer – all of which she fielded like an absolute champion.

Lauded for taking a stand on behalf of women everywhere, Twitter has wasted no time paying tribute to Taylor's composure, conduct and courage during the trial this week.

From counter-suing for just $1 (yep, we know) to insisting in no uncertain terms that Mueller's behaviour was in no way acceptable, Taylor has been given the credit she deserves on social media this morning for a testimony which has made headlines around the world today.

And we are so here for it.

Earlier this week, Splash News posted a series of photos showing people moving things out of Taylor Swift's apartment along with a rather curious caption:

"Is Taylor Swift being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribeca apartment??"

Em?

The statement read:

"Taylor Swift has been reportedly being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribecca apartment into her truck. A fleet of cars including two large cadillacs and three suv's arrive at Tailor Swift's apartment in Tribecca to move a large suitcase from apartment to truck.”

“Almost a dozen of Taylor Swift security guards were present to move this package carefully as Taylor Swift remains to be unseen for a long time."

Now, we don't know about you, but to us, the whole thing screams fake news.

And it certainly was.

In a statement to Spin, a Splash News representative explained how the photographer was "not really a regular photographer that we use" and that, "The report stated it as a fact, which we actually don’t know. How could we?"

Now, we're not saying it's not possible – after all, Adele has reportedly admitted to being transported via a large box before, but seeing as we have literally no proof, Splash News heard word from Taylor's camp, and is retracting the photo.

Lorde's second album has just dropped, but unfortunately for the singer, the press and public are currently more interested in remarks she made about her friendship with Taylor Swift.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, the New Zealand-native attempted to explain the dynamic of her relationship with the Out of the Woods singer, but she didn't exactly choose her words carefully.

Referring to the fact that Taylor's high-profile status makes standard BFF activities a little difficult, Lorde made an ill-advised comparison to autoimmune conditions.

"It’s like having a friend with very specific allergies," she surmised in a particularly odd analogy.

"There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do," she continued. "There are these different sets of considerations within the friendship. It’s like having a friend with an autoimmune disease."

And Twitter is unsurprisingly far from impressed with the comparison.

Taking to social media to berate the singer for her 'insensitive' comments, members of the public wasted no time highlighting the incongruity of the singer's questionable comparison.

Following the backlash, Lorde took to Twitter to both apologise and clarify her remarks with Twitter users who demanded Lorde acknowledge the insensitivity of her comments.

"Didn't mention Taylor, but regardless, I f*cked up and that was really insensitive. I'm sorry," she wrote in response to one person's outrage.

If you are a Taylor Swift fan, you may have been a bit miffed when the songstress removed her music from all streaming services back in 2014.

Now, the country-turned-pop singer is back with a bang.

A post shared by Taylor Nation (@taylornation) on

According to her management team, who shared the news via social media, Taylor's tunes will return to the services for one reason in particular.

'In celebration of 1989 selling over 10 million albums worldwide and the RIAA’s 100 million song certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalogue available to all streaming services tonight at midnight,' said Taylor's team.

Looks like James Corden can add 'celeb beef mediator' to his CV as he expertly got to the bottom of one of Hollywood's most famous feuds last night.

Katy Perry recently joined the actor/ late night talk show host as a guest on the hit Carpool Karaoke series, but it looks like James wasn't just there to sing.

Instead, he took the opportunity to get to the bottom on the singer's infamous feud with Taylor Swift.

"There's a situation," Perry said. "Honestly, it's really like she started it, and it's time for her to finish it."

If you don't' know by now, their public feud stems back to a mix up with some backup dancers and a miscommunication between the pair.

“I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn't’t speak to me.” Katy says in the video.

It is widely believed that Taylor wrote her hit single Bad Blood about her beef with Katy, and now fans have speculated that Katy's new track Swish Swish is a response.

"I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble," Perry says. "It was a full shutdown and then she writes a song about me, and I'm like, OK, cool, cool, cool, that's how you want to deal with it? Karma!"

''It's all about karma, right? I think personally that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bulls–t, women together will heal the world."

James then rather lightheartedly asked the singer if she would be prepared to "remove the beef from the grill" if Taylor approached her.

Katy agreed "100%".

James then took us back to what Carpool Karaoke is all about when he turned the radio up and Roar began to play.

Despite Katy Perry stating that she wouldn't be throwing any shade at Taylor Swift with her new album, her newest song doesn't quite seem that way.

'I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person,' she said, when asked if she would be clapping back at Taylor Swift's song Bad Blood.

'One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone.'

Today, Katy dropped her brand new track Swish Swish, and fans are speculating that it reads like a diary of events that occurred during Katy and Taylor's well-documented beef.

With sly digs like 'you’re about as cute as an old coupon, expired,' and a perceived mention of Taylor and Kim Kardashin's melodramatic moment where Kim exposed Taylor and started the now infamous snake emoji trend against her ('karma’s not a liar, she keeps receipts') it kind of looks like the singer is aiming this song at the country-turned-pop star.

Katy even teamed up with Nicki Minaj on the track, who also has also had a very public argument with Taylor Swift.

Taylor has yet to respond to speculation that the song is about her.

Harry Styles unveiled his self-titled debut solo album on Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 show this morning, and of course the host just had to ask the question on everyone's lips – which track is about Taylor Swift?

Harry and Nick have developed a solid friendship through the years, so the Radio 1 breakfast presenter had no problem asking the star whether his song Two Ghosts was about his former flame.

The Sign of the Times singer, whose years of media training had been leading up to this moment, replied, "I think it's pretty, like, self-explanatory."

"I think, y'know it's about sometimes things change and you can do all the same things… and sometimes it's just different, y'know?"

Acknowledging the fact he had completely dodged the question, the former One Direction star jokingly added, "2017, philosopher, London."

The conversation was cut short by Nick's introduction to the track: "So here we go, the one about Taylor Swift" to which Harry protested "ahhhh, oh no!".

Twitter took the singer reaction as solid confirmation, and reacted just how you'd expect.

Harry's self-titled debut solo album is out now.

It has been nearly four years since Katy Perry released her last full album, Prism, so we've been dying for the pop sensation to create more music.

Katy has confirmed that she does have new music on the way, full of 'purposeful pop' which reflects on society and politics.

However, fans have been wondering if the new album will have any response to her well-publicised beef with pop and country singer Taylor Swift, who is rumoured to have written her hit single Bad Blood about her feud with Katy.

'That’s not my question to answer, if it’s about me,' said Katy, when asked by Entertainment Weekly if she will be responding to Taylor's dig.

' I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person.'

'One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone.'

'And that’s not to any one person and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not. It’s not about that.'

'Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story.'

'But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, okay, honey. We got to keep it real, honey. This record is not about anyone else!'

Okay, so it's definitely not going to have a response to Taylor, then.

We applaud Katy for bowing out of the traditional way in which women in the same industry can be pitted against one another, simply for being female.

It’s been five years since one of the most high-profile, fleeting love affairs of our time ended, and now Harry Styles is finally talking about his relationship with Taylor Swift.

The relationship may have been brief, but it did inspire some of Taylor’s most recent hits, most notably, the appropriately named, Style and Out of the Woods.

The pair debuted their romance during a walk through New York’s central park and in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Harry spoke about that day for the first time.

"I think: Relationships are hard, at any age," he said. "And adding in that you don't really understand exactly how it works when you're 18, trying to navigate all that stuff didn't make it easier."

‘’I mean, you're a little bit awkward to begin with. You're on a date with someone you really like. It should be that simple, right?"

"It was a learning experience for sure. But at the heart of it – I just wanted it to be a normal date."

Harry refused to speculate over whether he was the subject of certain songs, but he did insist that Taylor is right to put her personal experience into her songwriting.

"I mean, I don't know if they're about me or not … But the issue is, she's so good, they're bloody everywhere. I write from my experiences; everyone does that.’’

‘’I'm lucky if everything we went through helped create those songs. That's what hits your heart. That's the stuff that's hardest to say, and it's the stuff I talk least about. That's the part that's about the two people. I'm never going to tell anybody everything."

So, did Harry like the song allegedly written about him? ‘’Yes and No’’ he told Rolling Stone. ‘’She doesn't need me to tell her they're great. They're great songs…It's the most amazing unspoken dialogue ever."

Not naming any names, Harry also admitted that his new album is heavily influenced by an ex of his:

"She's a huge part of the album. Sometimes you want to tip the hat, and sometimes you just want to give them the whole cap…and hope they know it's just for them."

Who could it be?
