Ariana Grande has been through hell and back throughout these past few years. The 25-year-old was left traumatised after the Manchester terrorist attack in 2017. This year, the No Tears Left To Cry singer lost her friend and former partner Mac Miller.

And now, her relationship with SNL cast member Pete Davidson has dwindled. It was revealed that the couple has called off their engagement and have decided to go their separate ways.

According to reports, Pete was not emotionally supportive enough following Mac Miller’s death, which led to their break-up.

Following news of their break-up, Ariana’s brother Frankie took to Instagram to express his love for his little sister.

As a sign of support, her 35-year-old brother posted a video with his sister’s song Breathin playing in the background.

“Good morning to my beautiful, beautiful sister. I love you so much and you’re with me right now in Iceland. Listen!” he wrote.

Ariana has been swarmed with loving messages from both family and friends since news of her separation broke.

#WeLoveYouAriana has been trending on Twitter where fans have been sharing supportive messages with the God Is a Woman singer.

“I just can’t even imagine how our love is feeling rn. I really just want a long time where Ariana is happy and it seems like 2018 is just not proving to be the year for that. 2019 hurry up,” one fan shared.

Ariana has yet to publicly comment on her reported break-up.

It is believed the pair went their separate ways this weekend after a whirlwind romance.

The No Tears Left To Cry singer and her former fiance felt it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off.

Both Pete and Ariana hope to remain friends, but they are no longer romantically involved.

The duo stunned fans earlier this year when they announced their engagement only a few weeks after they started dating. Pete got down on one knee and proposed to Ariana with a ring that reportedly cost $100k.

Rumour has it close friends and family aren’t surprised by Pete and Ariana’s split at all. A source told People: "It was way too much too soon. It's not shocking to anyone."

Saturday Night Live viewers have been vocal in their praise for the show's recent sketch featuring Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong and guest host, Saoirse Ronan.

Tapping into the current narrative surrounding sexual violence and the abuse of power in Hollywood, the four women deftly remind the public that the recent allegations emerging from within the entertainment industry are by no means a new phenomenon.

Dressed as a girl group from the 1980s, the costumes and set acted as a juxtapostion for the powerful message contained within the lyrics – lyrics which have struck a chord with millions this weekend.

"I guess it begs the question, 'Woah, why didn't you say something, baby girl?'" Kate sings, while Saoirse chimes in: "Well dang, double daddy, we definitely did. For hundreds of years."

Taking viewers through a brief history of female activism, the four women perfectly illustrate how this tidalwave of stories detailing sexual violence against females in the entertainment industry is just one example of an oppressive culture women are all too familiar with.

"Oh, and this ain't a girl group. We just travel in a pack for safety," they remind us.

Take a look at this.

Saturday Night Live is preparing for an Irish takeover with Saoirse Ronan and U2 both set to appear on the legendary US sketch show.

The programme, which sees a new guest host take over every week, announced last night that the 23-year-old Irish actress would present the December 2 edition, with U2 as her musical guests.

SNL is notorious for its short sketches that offer a comedic look into contemporary culture and America's political landscape.

Its large and varying cast comprises of some of Hollywood's top talents including Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, Jane Curtin, John Belushi, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Mike Myers.

The coveted role will come as a welcome break for Saoirse who has been busy promoting her latest film Ladybird.

The comedy-drama has earned huge praise from critics so far, boasting a perfect 100 per cent score on review website Rotten Tomatoes.

And although the film will not hit Irish cinemas until February of the next year, Saoirse's performance has already sparked Oscar buzz ahead of the 2018 award season.

Fingers crossed it's third time lucky to the two-time Academy Award nominee.

Jokes, a Mick jagger impression and his first solo performance.

Yep, it safe to say Harry Styles killed it on Saturday Night Live last night.

It was the first time any of Harry's fans saw him perform since he went on hiatus with One Direction, and looking at these tweets, he certainly didn't disappoint.

It seems like people are more in love with Harry now than ever before:

As America moves closer to 2016 and the election of a new president, everyone is wondering what will the Obamas do once they've left the White House.

And while the first lady used to be a lawyer and worked at the University of Chicago, we think she might have another career in mind: rapping.

Yep, rapping. Michelle recently joined SNL's comedian Jay Pharoah to perform a new rap track about going to college.

Although it's more Kevin G than G Unit, the FLOTUS raps like a total badness:

It seems that every celeb in the world is either covering Adele's Hello, or spoofing it – but this spoof may just come out on top of all the rest.

Matthew hosted Saturday night's SNL and was joined by cast members Beck Bennett, Jay Pharoah, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Vanessa Bayer in lip-syncing Hello every time an argument broke out in the video.

The sketch soon develops into a full-on parody of Adele's music video, complete with a full-on wind machine:

A photo of Taylor Swift at last night’s Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary show is going viral thanks to the rather unusual seating plan.

The pop star was seated next to Sarah Palin, a figure in US politics that is often mocked on SNL and Twitter found the entire situation quite hilarious.

Obviously missing her regular seating buddies such as Lorde, HAIM or Karlie Kloss, Taylor looks less than enthused to be sitting in between Steven Spielberg and Sarah Palin.

We do love this photo!

The folks at Saturday Night Live know their stuff when it comes to slagging celebrities, and this dig at Justin Bieber has to be the best yet!

Justin hit the headlines at the beginning of this month for his seriously steamy Calvin Klein underwear ad – with many sources claiming his six-pack and questionable bulge had been Photoshopped.

Well, abs and bulge or no, we still see Justin Bieber as no more than a VERY annoying child, and it seems the SNL guys feel the same.

So good!

Are we proud or what?

Hozier is fast-becoming the most talked-about talent on the music scene, and last night he achieved yet another amazing milestone by performing on US show Saturday Night Live.

Amazing stuff. Huge congratulations, Hozier!

The Bray native was already celebrating this week, having found out that not only had his album topped the charts, but his Irish tour has also sold out. Wow.

So he must have been feeling confident as he stepped onto the stage last night, and boy, did it show in his performance.

The man has such an incredible talent.

Well done, Hozier. We are delighted for you!

Check out his performance in the video, below.
