Some of Dublin’s most style-conscious shoppers are sure to be delighted at the chance to catch-up with style superstar Olivia Palermo.

Well, luckily for them, she will be on hand to launch her Olivia Palermo X Ciaté London make up collection in store this weekend.

Originally scheduled to make an appearance last month- which was rescheduled after a surgery left her unable to travel.

Naturally, we at SHEmazing were pretty devastated when we heard the news.

However, when we were told that she was rescheduling her appearance we were as giddy as kids on Christmas morning, again.

Olivia signed as the guest creative director of the Ciaté brand. The New York native has expanded the collection from nail polishes to also include plenty of fabulous makeup products.

The first of the four exclusive collections to launch will be the collection of three new nail shades, handpicked by Olivia.

The three shades include her favourite Hutch– her “go-to red” that was inspired and named after her mother.

There’s also two softer shades to choose from, the soft powder pink Sundays and an “haute vacation red Nantucket.

They all look fabulous and very chic, so obviously we’re dying to get our hands on some for ourselves.

The new collection of cosmetics, housed in luxurious black and gold packaging (naturally), includes four Satin Kiss lipsticks, a smoky eye palette in nine of Olivia's favourite shades, two gel kohl eyeliners with blending tips.

Never one to ignore a trend, and certainly capable of putting her own elegant twist on one, she’s also introduced Cheekbone Cheat blush/bronzer compacts designed to contour and add warmth.

Fans of the fashion queen will have a chance to meet Oliva in person at Brown Thomas Dublin on Saturday 10 October at 12 noon.

Get ready for this ladies!

Our dreams have finally come true as style superstar Olivia Palermo is coming to Dublin. Yippee!

The fashion icon is set to hit Brown Thomas as she launches the highly anticipated Olivia Palermo X Ciaté London Make Up collection.

Customers will be in with a chance to meet the former reality star on the 26 September in Brown Thomas Dublin.

Anyone who makes an Olivia Palermo X Ciaté London purchase between 21 – 26 September in store or on the Brown Thomas website will have the amazing opportunity to join Olivia for an exclusive meet-and-greet.

Excited yet?! Yep, so are we…

Customers will receive a special wristband that will grant access to the meet-up, meaning you'll hopefully get a photo with Olivia, as well as having your product signed.

As guest creative director of the brand, Olivia has certainly put her elegant spin on things.

She recently expanded the collection from nail polish to include makeup that reflects the star's own unique style.

The new collection of cosmetics, housed in luxurious black and gold packaging, includes four Satin Kiss lipsticks, a smoky eye palette in nine of Olivia's favourite shades, two gel kohl eyeliners with blending tips and Cheekbone Cheat blush/bronzer compacts designed to contour and add warmth.

We like the sound of that!

Olivia said, "When developing the collection I wanted to create a variety of textures and shades in the same way I love to mix patterns, fabrics and accessories to style the perfect outfit.

"Many of the names were chosen to represent not only the hue but the unique textures specially developed for this collection. Others are electric touches from my own life and style – I can't wait for you to play and discover the products I had so much fun creating."

Believe us Olivia, we can't wait either.

We all do it every now and then – pair a grungy leather jacket with a cute little dress; wear fabulous heels with ripped jeans.

Combining grunge with startling beauty and elegance is a look that stemmed from the rise of Kate Moss more than 20 years ago.

If this is a style you love, then now is the time to get excited because there is a brand new nail polish range on the market that is dedicated to this very look.

Contradictions is the new collection from CND that gives customers a clash between gritty street elements and elegant details.

If you want the perfect combination of glamour and grunge – this is it.

There are eight different colours in the collection that range from Safety Pin, to Rouge Rite, and Peacock Plume.

Part of the VINYLUX Weekly Polish range, Contradictions includes a self-adhering colour coat that eliminates the need for a base coat and a top coat because it is more durable.

With the hot weather finally upon, it’s finally time to take out our frayed denim shorts, and now we have the perfect polish to match.

Doing your nails before a night out may well become a safety necessity if this new nail polish is as good as it sounds.

It’s called ‘Undercover Colors’ and apparently changes colour when exposed to date rape drugs such as Rohypnol, GHB or Xanax.

The revolutionary product was created by a group of students Tyler Confrey-Maloney, Stephen Gray, Ankesh Madan and Tasso Von Windheim for a competition which encouraged students to solve real-world problems.

The students explained: “While date rape drugs are often used to facilitate sexual assault, very little science exists for their detection. With our nail polish, any woman will be empowered to discreetly ensure her safety by simply stirring her drink with her finger. If her nail polish changes colour, she’ll know that something is wrong.

“Through this nail polish and similar technologies, we hope to make potential perpetrators afraid to spike a woman’s drink because there’s now a risk that they can get caught. In effect, we want to shift the fear from the victims to the perpetrators.”

Style AND safety in one package? We like it – we like it a lot.

Neon colours can be a little tricky to pull off, but it looks like they here to stay. If you aren’t brave enough to go full on neon, why not add a pop of it on your nails for an on-trend style.

Neon is perfect for toes or fingernails to compliment your style and Jessica Awesome Neon nail kit will help you incorporate fabulous, fluorescent hues into your life.

The kit includes three fun shades: candy coloured Purple Burst, sherbet hued Pink Explosion and sunset-inspired Orange Zest.  It also contains Reward – an ultra-nourishing vitamin enriched therapy that contains Vitamin A, C and E and natural botanicals – to give your nails a little TLC.

A top coat of Brilliance, also in the kit, will help you get the most out of your neon polish coat. It is a fast drying top coat that leaves a glossy shine and helps to prevent yellowing, chipping and smudging.

Start your manicure by painting one coat of Reward base coat, paint with two coats of your chosen colour and finish with a high shine coat of Brilliance.

The kits, priced at €27.50, are available from salons nationwide and online at The French Beauty Room.

Summer is almost here, we can smell it in the freshly cut grass, which means sandals, flip flops and a whole host of shoes that show off our toes. Unfortunately, after spending the best part of eight months hidden away, your feet are probably not at their best right now.

  • Start by removing any polish you already have on.
  • Place your feet in the basin of water and leave to soak for about 10 minutes until soft.
  • Use the toenail clipper to clip your nails. Remember to cut straight across and not to follow the curve of the nail. You can soften any sharp bits by filing down the edges.
  • Next you will need to remove any calluses. Using a foot file, file in one direction making sure not to overdo it as you may damage the skin.
  • Once you are done, massage some foot cream in.
  • Lightly remove any excess oil from your nails by wiping them with the remover.
  • Push your toes into a toe separator and apply two coats of colour. Leave to dry before moving to prevent any smudges.

Nothing compliments an outfit like beautifully painted nails. Instead of forking out a fortune to have them done in a salon, just follow our our handy tips. You’ll be a pro in no time.

  1. Choose your colour of nail polish. Make sure the polish has not been lurking in your makeup bag for too long as it will just come out thick and gloopy. Shake well.
  2. Wipe your nails with polish remover even if you don’t have any old polish on. This will remove the natural oils and help the polish go on much easier – it will also last a lot longer.
  3. Using your nail file, smooth and shape the tips.
  4. Push your cuticles back.
  5. Apply a clear base coat. This will give the polish something to stick to. Make sure you let the base coat dry fully.
  6. Remove excess polish from the brush. Most brushes nowadays are flatter which makes for easier application.
  7. Place a drop of paint at the bottom of the nail just above the cuticle.
  8. Draw the brush upwards in a straight line all the way to the tip.
  9. Return the brush to the bottom of the nail and follow the curve on the left hand side right up to the tip. Repeat this with the right side.
  10. Always allow your first coat to dry before applying a second.
  11. Apply a clear top coat to prevent your polish from chipping.

You now have salon-standard tips without the expense.
