If you've spent any time at all wondering how much the Gogglebox gang earn for inviting a camera crew into their home every week, you're not alone.

Like countless other fans, we've spent hours estimating just how much you should be paid to sit on your own couch watching your own TV in the comfort of your own home.

But thankfully, we can all stop guessing now.

According to reports circulating today, the Gogglebox gang earn – wait for it – £1,500 per family per month, and this is in exchange for spending 12 hours (in six hour shifts) every two weeks on the sofa.

Oh, and then there's the free takeaways as well.

Easy money if you can get it.

Most viewers have Scarlett Moffatt pegged as the new Queen of the Jungle, but not everyone has been as complimentary about the 26-year-old Geordie's appearance on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

While some viewers have begun suggesting ITV is biased towards the Gogglebox star, one anti-bullying charity has even gone as far as to accuse Scarlett of bullying behaviour towards fellow contestant Martin Roberts.

Acutely aware her daughter is unable to defend herself against these accusations, Scarlett's mum, Betty, has decided to weigh in on the controversy and speak on behalf of her child.

Betty, whose relationship with her eldest daughter is well documented on Gogglebox, insist accusations made against her daughter have little grounding in reality.

"Scarlett does daft stuff and lacks common sense but she’s not someone to tear other people down," she insisted.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Betty wholly supported her child, adding: “It’s her choice what she wants to do with her life, but she’s not hurting anybody."

Taking aim at the individuals who have used Twitter as a platform to deride her daughter, Betty slammed: "If calling my daughter thick or stupid or anything else makes you feel better then crack on."

G'wan Betty!

She may be in a very happy relationship right now, but it sounds like Scarlett Moffatt's new-found fame played a role in the demise of a previous relationship if recent remarks made by an ex are anything to go by.

Opening up about the TV star who looks set to take the crown in I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, Ian Billett revealed that the pressures of Scarlett's rising profile resulted in him calling time on their relationship.

The 30-year-old who met Scarlett at a book signing insists that he has nothing but goodwill towards her and simply feared their relationship might put the skids on her burgeoning TV career.

"It sounds like I’m a softie but her career was really starting to take off and she was being invited all over the place, the door was just opening for her," he said.

Reflecting on Scarlett's response to her newfound fame, Ian added: “She is sometimes a bit too eager to please and would never cause offence by asking someone to leave her alone."

And while Scarlett did show concern about the public's perception of her during her time with Ian, her ex insists her conduct in the jungle is "100 per cent genuine,"

According to Ian, Scarlett, who is now in a relationship with Luke Crodden, was taken aback by his decision to call time on their romance.

“She didn’t take too kindly to it at the time. It was my decision and it was the right thing to do for both of us." he insisted.

Ah lads, if we didn't love her enough already.

Scarlett Moffatt, whose incredible relationships with her parents Mark and Betty on Gogglebox had us questioning our own, has revealed she gave them one serious present after making the big time.

The 26-year-old, who rose to fame simply by chilling on the couch with her mam and dad, has repaid their kindness over the years by paying off their mortgage on the house they live in in Durham.

Revealing all to her fellow I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here campmates, she said: "I paid off the mortgage on my mum and dad’s house for them. Oh it was the best."

"I just wrote them a letter and said, thanks for being mint, and sorry for leaving fake tan all over the house," she said. "Then I put a cheque in for them."

And while most of us would think Scarlett went above and beyond with that one, she says she's still got more in mind for them.

"My aim is to be able to by me mam and dad a caravan. Because they've always wanted one, but they are like £20,000, and I really want to be able to buy them one," Scarlett said.

"And that's the dream, everyone wants to be able to look after their mama and dad, like they did when they were younger."

Scarlett, a favourite with the public, is currently under scrutiny after accusations she bullying fellow campmate Martin Roberts.

We know Scarlett Moffatt as the good-humoured gal from Gogglebox whose relationship with her parents puts ours to shame, but if her recent admission is anything to go by, Scarlett endured a lot during her formative years.

The 25-year-old, who is already on course to take the crown on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, recently revealed that she was the victim of bullying at school – something which she addresses in a very matter-of-fact manner.

"I think it was the monobrow, and teeth that could chew an apple through a letterbox." she said. "I was really ugly."

"Even as a kid when I was 11 or 12, I wasn’t like the other kids in the school – I still wore my hair in pigtails. No wonder I got picked on."

And if that wasn't heartbreaking enough, the Geordie girl then went on to suggest that in addition to her looks, her interests may have also spurred bullies on, saying: "I was really weird and I believed in aliens."

Thankfully, the popular TV star experienced some respite when she moved schools, but insists it wasn't because she attempted to conform.

"I still didn’t try to fit in but, luckily, everyone was nicer there. You can’t please everyone all the time."

Scarlett then gave an insight into the thought process which resulted in the no-holds-barred woman we know and love today.

"Being bullied made me realise that people will like you or not like you anyway, so you might as well be yourself and say exactly what you think."

God, if we didn't love her enough already.

If you thought the Cavan twins were the greatest thing to come out of Gogglebox, something tells us you'll be changing your mind once this year's Stand Up To Cancer special hits our screens.

Getting their chill on in order to raise money for charity, Niall Horan and Olly Murs will be giving the Cavan twins and Limerick brothers a run for their money, and we can't wait to see what they have to say for themselves.

Commenting on his involvement in this year's special, Olly said: "I'm such a big fan of Gogglebox so being able to be on it with Niall is amazing, especially when it's for such a brilliant cause like Stand Up To Cancer."

The two lads, who rose to fame on The X Factor, loved taking part in the show, with Niall adding: "Olly and I had a great laugh filming Gogglebox and hope that we can raise as much as possible for such a great cause."

"With every penny raised going towards finding cures for cancer, we're honoured to be a part of Stand Up To Cancer's fundraising this year." Niall said.

If it's even half as good as seeing Jamie Dornan suppin' on beer and slagging the plastic bag charge, it'll be amazing.

No pressure though. lads…

Her recent weight-loss has been much commented on – especially as the latest series of GoggleBox has now kicked off.

But birthday girl Scarlett Moffatt today shared with her Instagram fans an example of her incredible weight-loss transformation.

Playfully writing "lady in red," she stated: "Last birthday eve vs this birthday eve. Going into the ripe age of 26 a better me."

However, it was the accompanying side-by-side comparison that really impressed.

And while last year she also looked gorgeous in a similarly-hued gown for her 25th celebrations, there can be no doubt how far she as come in just a year.

The Newcastle-native has credited her health-conscious beau Luke Crodden, with whom she moved in with earlier this year, with helping her to kick her bad eating and lifestyle habits.

It is believed that the GoggleBox star, who shot to fame alongside her family on the Channel 4 show, has dropped from a size 16 to a size 8/10.

With the snap quickly garnering 50K likes just hours after being shared, fans were eager to offer their praise too.

"You look amazing! You should do a few posts on any tips and tricks you've used/learnt along the way… I know I'd be interested," wrote one.

In a similar vein, another added: "Amazing transformation would like know how you lost soo much weight as I tried everything thanks again you look amazing."

"Please make a blog of your daily exercise plan + food diary I'm so inspired but would love to see the story from someone normal!" chipped in a further fan.

She may be one of the most popular Gogglebox cast members, but Scarlett Moffatt has also endured the most scrutiny and ridicule off-screen.

While the 24-year-old girl from Durham quickly established a fan base for herself with her witty one-liners and quirky sense of humour, she has also been subjected to intense criticism on account of her appearance.

Derided by national newspapers for her size, Scarlett embarked on a nutrition and fitness plan which saw her drop some serious lbs, but it looks like her new size has irked some of her Instagram followers who now insist she has gotten too skinny.

After sharing a snap of herself looking fantastic in a pair of skinny jeans teamed with a floral shirt, Scarlett was inundated with comments from followers suggesting she's gone too far.

"Scarlett, be careful please don't go too skinny you looked amazing before," wrote one follower. "Obviously you are still beautiful but take care."

"Don't get any more skinny please! You are stunning –  just know when to stop," added another.

Thankfully for Scarlett, hundreds of her followers were on hand to remind social media users that Scarlett had lost weight through a healthy diet and fitness regime.

"All the hard work paying off! She's been exercising!" wrote one.

"She hasn't disappeared; she's the same gorgeous and bubbly girl she always was," insisted a fan. "She's happier in her own skin now and looks great. That's what motivation looks like!"

"You look AMAZING hun totally amazing – well done for all your hard work," added another.

We're with them on this one.

We love Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt. She's a super funny gal and is the ultimate inspiration when it comes to #WeightLossGoals, having shed nearly three stone by working out and eating healthy.

And it looks like things are about to get better. In a photo taken of her way to a wedding with her boyfriend Luke, Scar is looking hot AF in a red bodycon dress.

But even though she's looking oh-so-gorgeous, it wasn't the actual picture that sent the rumour mill into overdrive, it was what her boyf wrote under the pic.

Standing side by side in the snap, Luke captioned the photo on his page: "I think I wanna marry you @Scarlett_moffatt." Eeek!

The couple have already taken a big step in their relationship this year, having moved in together a couple of months ago.

While speaking to OK!, the reality star said: "We’re next filming Gogglebox in September. I live in Newcastle now, with my boyfriend so I’m hoping that he can make a couple of appearances."

Either way, we're so delighted for her. She's achieved a lot this year.

Any regular Gogglebox viewer will know that the show's narrators play as much of a role in the reality programme as its cast of TV addicts.

From the late Caroline Aherne's deadpan delivery to Craig Cash's confused-sounding narrative, the UK show's narrators set the tone for each scene before cast members made it their own with a host of hilarious one-liners and bizarre behaviour.

And if you – like us – have been waiting with bated breath to hear who got the coveted spot for the Irish version of the Channel 4 show, the time has come.

Deciding not to leave us in suspense, TV3, who will be airing the show in September, announced that Deirdre O'Kane and Mrs Brown's Boys star Rory Cowan are set to report on the telly habits of families, couple and friends up and down the country.

Commenting on the highly-anticipated show, TV3 bosses said: "The show promises an eclectic mix of characters that audiences will both love and love to hate."

Hate? But we don't hate ANYONE on the British version….
