In April, Scarlett Moffatt was told her heavier frame could have a serious impact on her health, so the reality star embarked on a weight loss journey and she's looking soooo fab.

Scarlett took to Instagram to share a before-and-after photo of her at her heaviest. Then beside that photo is the way she looks today.

In an emotional caption, she wrote: "Crying like a baby today, can't believe I've lost 2 stone."

"Feel so proud. Honestly if a professional couch potato can do it, anybody can!"

Within a couple of minutes she shared another photo, this time it was her on the show that made her famous, Gogglebox.

The Siddiqui family are used to remarking on other people's public eff-ups from the comfort of their own front room, so it must have come as a shock to realise they were one of the main talking points on social media today.

Grabbing headlines all over the UK and Ireland, the much-loved family from Derby found themselves on the wrong side of public opinion after a family member made reference to ISIS in a Facebook post over the weekend.

Sharing an image of himself and his brothers Umar and Baasit in camouflage gear before a paintballing session, Raza – who has made only brief appearances on the long-running Channel 4 show – joked that the trio were in training to join terrorist group ISIS.

The siblings, who appear alongside their father Sid, were then the subject of a police investigation before being cleared of any wrongdoing, and now that the dust has settled Baasit has addressed the furore on his personal Twitter page.

While known for his dry sense of humour, the dad-of-one erred on the side of caution when acknowledging the issue, writing: "The image on Facebook was meant to be light-hearted but was clearly a joke that was misjudged."

"We are extremely sorry for any offence caused," he added in a post earlier today.

Thankfully for the family, who are widely considered one of the most popular on the show, Baasit's followers were quick to offer their support.

"Instantly knew it was a joke. Some people are too quick to judge! Your family are fantastic," wrote one while another added: "Don't apologise it was bloody hilarious!! Good on you lads for having a laugh like the rest of us!"

"It was funny! I'm appalled that so many are making such a big deal out of it," added another while a fellow Twitter user remarked: "Crazy that anyone would be offended by it. I thought it was funny; you're all the complete antithesis of IS, obvs."

Looks like the lads can rest easy now.

Widely considered one of the most popular families in long-running Channel 4 show, Gogglebox, the Siddiquis came under fire this weekend after an ill-advised Facebook upload brought them to the attention of the police.

Preparing for a day of paintballing, Baasit, Umar and their brother Raza – who has only appeared briefly on the popular show – shared a photo of themselves in camouflage gear before making a tongue-in-cheek reference to terrorist group ISIS.

"ISIS training day, look how happy we look," Raza wrote in a post which was initially received in the tone it was intended before the post was brought to the attention of anti-terror police.

Confirming they had investigated the controversial post, Derbyshire Police assured the public that no terrorist link had been established, but acknowledge the concern born of the upload.

Speaking to the Mirror Celeb, the force said: "A member of the public contacted us after a photo of three men at a paintball centre was uploaded to Facebook, mentioning the so-called Islamic State."

"We have examined the photograph and are satisfied that the caption was not intended to be taken seriously, and there was no link to terrorism whatsoever," the statement continued.

"We will be offering suitable words of advice to those who uploaded it; however, no offences have been committed and there will be no further police action," they added.

Friends of the Siddiqui family have also acknowledged the questionable nature of the Facebook post, with one saying: "When you are in the media, you have a responsibility. His friends were liking and loving it."

Neither Baasit nor Umar have made any reference to the controversy on social media.

OK, we all know that tattoos relating to your other half can be the kiss of death in some relationships, but we have a good feeling about the one Scarlett Moffatt's boyfriend had inked in her honour this week.

In a tribute to this girlfriend's favourite show  – 90s sitcom Bottom – Luke Crodden added a small tat to his already large collection of body inkings, and Scarlett is over the moon.

Sharing a snap of the tattoo on Instagram, everybody's favourite Gogglebox cast member began by writing: "His full of surprises…" (sic)

"Might not be conventionally romantic, but we both knew we love each other when we were sat giggling at conspiracy theories watching Bottom, hence the S in Bottom font," she continued.

"I'd never felt so content at the precise moment in all my life. Love you," she gushed in a post which has clocked up thousands of likes since its upload.

Fans of the TV sensation were quick to share in her delight, with one writing: "This is super cute as I'm nearly finished your book and all you talk about is finding someone who you can just be you around."

Scarlett, who has had to deal with her fair share of online trolling, was met with nothing but positivity when she shared Luke's tribute to her this week.

And now, we 're coming over all teary-eyed.

It looks like Scarlett Moffatt can do absolutely no wrong as long as she's just getting her chill on at home and making us weep tears of laughter in the process.

But if she dares glam up for a night out or even drop a few lbs, a worrying number of her Instagram followers waste no time telling her to get back in her box. Really sound, right?

After uploading a shot of herself to Instagram yesterday, the Geordie lass was forced to read disparaging comments about her appearance.

Sharing a snap of herself rocking a powder blue coat dress, the TV sensation jokingly captioned it: "Being vain with my alien head #pose #selfie #celfie" but it looks like social media users weren't happy to leave it at that.

Taking aim at Scarlett's cleavage, one Instagram user wrote: "The look is nice but saggy boobs are a no!" while another remarked: "Oh dear someone needs a bra. #sorry."

The Gogglebox star wasted no time responding to these remarks, writing: "When you have size G cup boobs and everyone’s slagging your boobs off!!"

"I have a bra on here and sorry that I haven’t had f*kin surgery, I try and be a good influence to others to be comfortable in your own skin," she continued.

"There’s enough sh*t going on in the world, let’s build each other up instead of being negative!" she requested.

Thankfully, many of Scarlett's fans had her back on this issue, with one writing: "Omg the comments! You should be ashamed."

"Would you actually say that to her face?? I bet not, cowards. Beautiful Scarlett! Keep doing what you're doing!" she added.

We're with her on that one.

We did it with Take Me Out, we did it with First Dates, and now we're doing it with Googlebox.

While we mightn't have the best one-liners when vying for a stranger's attention, and our first date etiquette leaves a lot to be desired, there's one thing us Irish can do better than anyone else.

And that – as we all know – is happily rip the p*ss out of any eejit who pontificates, jazz-hands or basically has the audacity to appear on our television screens night in, night out.

And the makers of the smash-hit Channel 4 show want to know all about it.

With the Irish version of the show set to hit our screens this autumn, the good folk behind the reality show want to remind the Irish public that there's still enough time to put yourself forward for inclusion.

Darren Smith, Managing Director of Kite Entertainment, makers of Gogglebox in Ireland has officially put the call out, saying: "We want to show decent Irish families who are likable, while being unique and different at the same time."

"We did street casting and went out and about, eavesdropping on the DART, and in cafés all over Ireland," he explained.

"The people we’ve seen so far are really good but there’s always telly gold out there," he continued. "We’re still interested in having a chat with families and individuals who’d like to take part."

The makers are looking for approximately ten families who think they might be the next Moffatts, Michaels or Siddiquis.

What are you waiting for?!

While only a new addition to the Googlebox cast, Ava Moffatt has already managed to endear herself to the viewing public.

Giving as good as she gets when it comes to her older sister, Scarlett, and ruthlessly assessing the latest TV offerings, it's easy to forget the newest reality TV star is just ten-years-old.

So, it's no surprise Googlebox fans are all OVER a throwback photo which 25-year-old Scarlett shared on Instagram yesterday.

Alongside the photo which showed a teenage Scarlett with baby Ava perched on her hip back in 2006, Scarlett wrote: "Ten years ago, #throwback #baby #sister."

With Scarlett looking like she hasn't aged a day in the past decade, fans were quick to comment on the best-selling author's pose, with one writing: "Gosh, you were doing duck face before everyone."

This isn't the first throwback snap Scarlett has shared with her legions of fans and followers, having recently uploaded a split-shot of herself partying at 21.

"A very Skinny Minnie Me, " she wrote in the post which was liked thousands of times. "Ah to be 21 and a size 6 again."

Keep 'em comin', Scarlett!

Scarlett Moffatt is probably our favourite Googlebox star.

She's not afraid to speak her mind and is quite open about the daily struggles of life – which kinda makes us all relate to her.

And her most recent struggle is shedding those extra few pounds.

The 25-year-old is determined to slim down, saying that her fondness for junk food is holding her back.

"Doner kebab meat. Truthfully, I have it maybe once or twice a week," she told Now magazine.

In the interview, she added that since her boyfriend is a fitness fanatic, he keeps her motivated to go to the gym regularly.

"I've just started exercising quite a bit actually. I'd say I do HIT (high intensity training) about three times a week.

"My boyfriend is super-fit so it's good having him on side because he's quite motivated."

Scarlett is currently enjoying a holiday with her boyfriend, and posting loads of pictures to keep us updated.

She is one of our favourite members of the Gogglebox crew, and now we're going to be joining Scarlett Moffatt as she looks for loveeee.

Yep, the reality star is joining our other fave TV show, First Dates and we just can't wait to see it.

Scarlett will appear on the show for a celebrity special, and we can only imagine her no-nonsense attitude being hilarious on a first date. If anyone even tries to talk BS, Scarlett will destroy them. It's going to be so brilliant.

She'll be joined by TOWIE's Jessica Wright, Esther Rantzen, and Paralympian Will Bayley in the quest for some celeb lovin'.

There's no word on when the episode will air yet, but we all know we're in for a good one.

We. Can't. Wait.

Gogglebox has brought with it a good amount of personalities, but one of our favourite couples on the show has to be Steph and Dom.

Between their extravagant drinks and their gas stories, it's hard not to just LOL whenever they come on the screen.

And the pair proved that they have always had an expensive sense of style when they uploaded a photo of their wedding day on to Twitter.

The couple captioned the snap, "Throwback to the best day of our life." Awww!

Just look how dark their hair is!

Have a good look at their Twitter account too, some of their tweets are just hilarious.

If you're fairly certain that your best mate could give Scarlett Moffatt a run for her money in the comedy stakes, then it's time to tell her that stardom is just around the corner.

Oh, that's right ladies, casting for the Irish Gogglebox is finally about to begin, and we are all PUMPED!

According to a report in today's Irish Independent, two years after TV3 announced it was set to air an Irish version of the smash Channel 4 show, it has been established that the homegrown version will hit our television screens this coming August.

With the Irish public falling all over themselves to watch our country's singletons put their first date material to the test this year, we can only imagine how popular our version of Googlebox will be.

Seriously, who wouldn't want a sneak peek into Mick and Mags' Mullingar sitting room?!
