Our favourite Friends couple have reunited and we couldn’t BE any happier about it. Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry got together for lunch and posted a rare selfie together, much to the delight of their fans.

Courteney even used one of the show's famous quotes for the caption, “Guess who I had lunch with today….I KNOW!! Could I BE any happier? #realfriends”

Jennifer Aniston recently shared a reunion selfie with the entire cast on her Instagram account which left fans wishing for a reboot of the iconic TV series.

However, the actress doesn’t believe that would work.

She told The Ellen Show, “We would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is. So we're just trying. We're working on something."

"I don't want to lead people on," she responded when Ellen asked for more detail.

Speaking about getting the gang together again, the actress gushed, “We did that because we miss each other and we all happened to be in the same part of the world."

A project may or may not be in the pipeline but at least we can watch old episodes of Friends on Netflix until the cast get together again.

Friends remains one of the most iconic and easy-to-watch TV shows of all time, despite almost 25 years passing since it first aired.

The sitcom we know and love offers us relatable comedy with lovable characters, what's not to adore? It could have been a very different series, however, without one of the cast in particular.

Author Saul Austerlitz has spilled some of Central Perk's most shocking secrets to celebrate a quarter-century of the programme, including which Friend was almost cut out of the show.

According to Austerlitz's new book, Generation Friends, the one and only Jennifer Aniston herself was nearly written out of the show after a potential filming conflict emerged.

Austerlitz told Entertainment Weekly that Jennifer had already filmed numerous episodes for an upcoming comedy, Muddling Through, which was set to air on rival network CBS.

The scheduling team at NBC allegedly aired a ratings-winning stream of TV films adapted from Danielle Steel novels at the same time as Aniston's other show to avoid ditching Rachel.

Most of Muddling Through's intended target audience switched to NBC for some luxurious fluff, Aniston's career prospects with Muddling Through were annihilated.

Pretty intelligent stuff from NBC, we have to admit. Imagine Friends without Rachel Greene, her hilarious diva idiosyncracies and her 'lobster' love for Ross Gellar?

If there's anywhere in the world you wouldn't expect to see a major Hollywood star, it's probably in a remote part of North Dublin.

The iconic Friends actress Courtney Cox has been spotted in Lusk this morning as her musician partner prepares for tomorrow's Snow Patrol gig.

The 54-year-old was snapped picking up a coffee in Applegreen station in the Dublin location, and looked relaxed and chilled out in blue jeans, a navy jumper and sunglasses.

You almost wouldn't recognise her, but these Freshii staff members couldn't miss out on the chance to snap a photo with her.

Applegreen tweeted the snap with the message: "We had a very special ‘Friend’ drop by to Applegreen Lusk North!" Gas.

Courtney's partner Johnny McDaid plays a concert in Bangor, Co. Down tonight as part of the Snow Patrol 'Wildness' tour, and plays Malahide Castle in Dublin on June 7.

The actress, who is famed for playing Monica Geller on the hit TV show, was snapped hanging out with The Hunger Games star Woody Harrelson and X-Men actor James Marsden in Los Angeles earlier this week at Wiltern Theater where Johnny was playing a gig.

Courtney posted a picture to Instagram of herself with three famous friends on Tuesday, captioning the snap; "Great night with this lovable misfits at Snow Patrol concert."

Johnny's band are heading on a string of dates across Europe, and said that the public's obsession with his and Courtney's romance is 'bizarre'.

The couple announced their engagement in 2014, but have yet to tie the knot. He commented: “I think people are curious. I’m often approached from a perspective of people thinking they know something when they don’t.

He continued:

“I think people are curious. I’m often approached from a perspective of people thinking they know something when they don’t. But often it’s just funny. I think I’ve gotten married 15 times in the last year.

“There is a missing part of that equation, I’m on tour at the moment and Courtney is in LA. So it would be really difficult for me to get married unless I do it by proxy or over Skype or something.”

He spoke to the Belfast Telegraph: “It is a bit bizarre but it comes with the territory. I expect the curiosity but I also respect my relationship and my love.”

Courtney and Johnny apparently split up in 2015 but later rekindled their relationship. The Derry rocker was introduced to Cox by Ed Sheeran in 2013, who is a mutual mate.

The actress is already mum to 14-year-old Coco, with ex-husband David Arquette. When she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show, she denied that Johnny was her fiancé.

“We were engaged to be married, but now we’re just together. We broke off our engagement and he moved to England. Then we got back together, and it’s actually better than it was before."

Anyone who's everyone watched Friends back in the day. It remains one of the most popular shows of all time, spanning 10 seasons and earning millions of viewers per episode.

The lead actors became stars overnight after the show began airing in the early 1990s, and it's no surprise they wanted to keep some mementos after a decade of working on the project together.

Lisa Kudrow has shared a photo of the gift which Matthew Perry gave her after they wrapped up filming, and it's UNREAL.

Matthew bagged Monica's cookie jar for Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay on the classic sitcom. The instantly recognisable prop now sits in the star's home, where she probably puts her granny's infamous Nestlé cookies.

The 55-year-old showed the jar to her 1.6 million followers on Instagram, and Friends fans freaked out, as predicted. She captioned the snap; "My wrap gift from Matthew Perry…”ooh, look at the time, I’ve gotta go.”" BLESS HER.

Lisa had previously explained the tale behind Matthew's choice of present to Comedy Central.

"It’s this cookie jar that was in Monica and Rachel’s apartment, and there’s a clock face on it,’ she began. "He gave it to me because… I had a scene where I was supposed to say, “Ooh, look at the time, I gotta go!”" she said.

"Well, I wasn’t wearing a watch. Because we’d rehearsed it but no one thought about it. As we were shooting, and the audience was there… it was coming up and I was like, uh oh, I’m about to say, “Look at the time.” I don’t see a watch… there’s no clock anywhere…"

She continued the story;

"So I point to the cookie jar and say, “Look at the time, I gotta go!” So afterwards Matthew Perry went, “Did you point to the cookie jar and say ‘look at the time’?” It was the dumbest fix, so lame… and then David Crane came over and said “what are you looking at?”’

"It was so stupid of me… that’s my fix! He asked Warner Bros, he got special permission and he gave that to me." Awww, gowan Matthew. What a great pal.

Matt LeBlanc was also asked about props which he stole on the show, and he revealed he took the Magna Doodle on the back of Chandler and Joey's door for an electrician who drew the artwork for every episode;

LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani on the show, also revealed that he keeps the foosball from Chandler and Joey's foosball table in his tool kit.

We'd probably have tried to leave the show with the entire of Monica Geller's apartment and the contents of Rachel's wardrobe.

We absolutely love all of these nostalgic on-set Friends stories, give us more please?

We'll be honest with you; this story baffles us.

Now, we can all relate to fangirling HARD over a movie franchise, tv programme or celebrity (*cough* Michael B Jordan, AKA The Snack *cough*) but this YouTuber took things pretty damn far all on her lonesome.

Chi with a C has become a viral sensation after recreating the entire first episode scene-for-scene of famous New York sitcom Friends

Despite having zero props and costumes, and only a Macbook green-screen for company, the superfan made the pilot episode all by herself and we are IMPRESSED.

It must have taken her hours and hours of work, and we're pretty sure she was procrastinating some kind of college work but boy did she commit.

She did it all in her pyjamas too, for an…alternative…costume wardrobe. Not bad for a cast of one though, we have to say

The YouTuber uses her channel for comedy purposes, as you may have guessed.

The comedian-in-training previously turned herself into Sharon Osbourne and even recreating Thank U Next with whistles alone. Alright then, each to their own..

She's got ten seasons of Friends material to dissect should she please, she seems to have the spare time on her hands anyways.

The creator of Friends has revealed how the audience reaction to Monica and Chandler hooking up in London, changed the whole course of the television series.

Marta Kaufman explained how that was meant to be a one-off but the fans reacted so favourably to it that she decided to rewrite how the rest of the series would pan out.

"We had no idea what response that was going get," said co-creator Marta Kaufman at the ATX Television Festival.

When the moment unfolded in front of a live studio audience, they were so shocked to see Monica pop up from underneath the covers with Chandler that they started screaming, and filming had to be stopped."

She added: "We thought it was going to be funny and we were going to get rid of it.

"Suddenly the audience told us they had been waiting for that and we had to rethink how we were going to keep going and change the relationship."

Fans of the popular television show, which ran for a decade, told the creators loud and clear that this was they moment they had been waiting for and thus the relationship took centre stage, taking over from Ross and Rachel.

Marta had previously revealed that Monica and Joey had initially been intended as the main couple on Friends because "they just seemed the most sexual of the characters".

This got us thinking how much we LOVE Monica and Chandler as a couple and the series would not have been the same without some of their best bits…

The one when Chandler admitted his love for Monica

The one where Phoebe found out

The one where they got engaged

The one where they adopted the twins

Basically any episode when they were THE MOST adorable couple ever..

Ever since the hit sitcom finished over ten years ago, there have been constant rumours surfacing that a Friends reunion could finally take place.

But it seems Courtney Cox squashed all our reunion hopes, when the actress said “its not gonna happen.”

Courtney was appearing on American chat show, The Late Show with David Letterman when questioned on the possibility of a reunion. But the 49-year-old actress revealed it was too difficult to organise, as everyone is busy with their new schedules.

“It doesn’t happen. I mean, I can get the girls to come, maybe Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc cancelled last time, Schwimmer lives here, so it’s just not going to happen.”

As heart-breaking as that is to hear, we can still dream that our six favourites might get together some day in the future.

We love it when our favourite relationships aren’t only for TV. Just like Monica and Rachael, Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox have maintained a close and loving friendship since the hit TV show ended.

Speaking with More magazine, Jennifer explained just how important her friendship with Courtney has been, especially in the hard times such as the ending of her marriage to Brad Pitt in 2005; “I’ve slept in her guest bedroom a lot. Without giving away too much of my private stuff, all I can say is she’s been there for me through thick and thin”.

Jennifer is also godmother to Courtney’s daughter Coco and has no doubt reciprocated her support during Courtney’s recent marriage to David Arquette broke down after 14 years together.

Courtney is currently dating Johnny McDaid who is a member of Irish band Snow Patrol.
