After what felt like a lifetime, The Crown finally returns to Netflix this weekend. Season three of the phenomenal drama series lands on Netflix on Sunday, November 17 and we’re in for a real treat this season.

The stellar cast are bound to win fans over and impress viewers with their portrayal of the Royal Family.

The third season of The Crown sees a new guard sweep into Downing Street, as Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family struggle to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing Britain.

From cold-war paranoia, through to the jet-set and the space age – the exuberance of the 1960s and the long hangover of the 1970s – Elizabeth and the Royals must adapt to a new, more liberated, but also more turbulent world.

Season three storylines include the breakdown of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowden’s marriage and the death Lord Mountbatten.

Prince Charles and Princess Anne will be more central characters this season with a significant focus on the future king’s love life, including the early days of his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles.

Written by Peter Morgan, The Crown also stars Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as The Duke of Edinburgh, Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Ben Daniels as Lord Snowdon, Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Charles Dance as Lord Mountbatten.

The Crown returns to Netflix on Sunday, November 17.

Christmas is getting closer and we’re a little bit too excited about it. We’re more than ready to spend quality time with our nearest and dearest, eat nothing but turkey sandwiches and selection boxes and watch Love Actually every other day.

Most of our plans for the holiday season revolve around spending time in our pyjamas but we’ll obviously be spending time with the family too, just like The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The couple will be celebrating their first Christmas as parents and they’ve got some major plans in the diary for December.

Apparently, Harry and Meghan are planning on stepping away from their royal duties for a few weeks so they can visit Meghan’s mum in America.

It is believed the parents will fly out to the USA for Thanksgiving and plan on extending their break until after Christmas.

They have paused their royal duties for six weeks so they certainly will have plenty of time to enjoy Meghan’s homeland.

The royals tend to gather at Sandringham for Christmas, but reports claim Harry and Meghan may decline this year’s invitation.

Prince Harry has spent every Christmas with his grandmother and family, apart from 2012 as he was in Afghanistan.

The Sun claims that the couple wants to ‘recharge their batteries’ after a turbulent few months.

“They need some time away to recharge and decide their plans for next year,” a source told the publication.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to spend Christmas in Sandringham with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall and their extended family.

Baby Archie Harrison is officially six-months-old today. The adorable little royal is still a tiny tot but apparently he’s already reaching major milestones.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son is already trying to talk. A source told US Weekly that Archie is the best baby.

They said, “He’s a strong baby and you can tell he’s super smart. He can sit up without support and roll over, and he’s almost crawling.

“He can’t talk yet, but he’s trying!” they revealed.

Just when you thought little Archie couldn’t get any cuter, he does. Prince Harry’s son adores both his parents but it sounds like he’s got a soft spot for his dear dad.

The source continued, “When Harry walks into the room, Archie gets so excited, he puts his arms out—his way of saying, ‘Pick me up!’ You can tell Archie’s going to be a social butterfly. He’s at his happiest when he’s around people.”

“He takes a keen interest in his surroundings and is already engaging and interacting with people. He loves to be entertained. And he isn’t a needy baby—he’ll happily go to Harry and Meghan’s friends without kicking up a fuss,” they added.

There were mixed responses to last night’s ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about the struggles they have faced in the past few years, which many found endearing but others claimed it was attention seeking.

However, the documentary proved something that many people have failed to realise; the Sussex’s are real people with real emotions and their royal titles change nothing about that.

Meghan has been ridiculed by the British tabloid press and public in recent months. Lies and accusations have been thrown her way, even during her pregnancy, and it has most certainly taken its toll on the new mum.

The former actress fell head over heels for Prince Harry, but her friends warned her about marrying into the royal family.

She said, “It’s hard. I don’t think anybody could understand that, but in all fairness I had no idea, which probably sounds difficult to understand … but when I first met my now-husband my friends were really happy because I was so happy, but my British friends said to me, ‘I’m sure he’s great but you shouldn’t do it because the British tabloids will destroy your life’."

Meghan said she always tells Harry that it’s not enough to just survive something, that’s not the point of life.

“You have got to thrive. You have got to feel happy, and I think I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip. I tried, I really tried, but I think what that does internally is probably really damaging, and the biggest thing that I know is that I never thought this would be easy but I thought it would be fair, and that is the part that is hard to reconcile but (I) just take each day as it comes,” the Duchess said.

Meghan added, “When people are saying things that are just untrue, and they are being told they are untrue but they are allowed to still say them, I don’t know anybody in the world who would feel that’s OK and that is different from just scrutiny.

“I think the grass is always greener. You have no idea. It is really hard to understand what it’s like. ‘The good thing is that I have got my baby and I have got my husband and they are the best.”

The Duchess of Sussex has achieved so much in the past year. She made history by becoming the first ever guest editor of British Vogue’s September issue. She worked with incredible charities and welcomed her baby boy, Archie.

However, instead of celebrating Meghan’s achievements, people have chosen to belittle the new mum yet again and it just has to stop.

Meghan has gone from being adored by the British press to swiftly becoming the ‘bratty’ member of the royal family whose feminist and left-of-centre views are too much for the red tops to handle.

They have slated the new mum in every way possible in recent months. She was branded a diva and accused of treating her staff poorly. She was slated for looking tired despite the fact that she had just welcomed a baby. She was pitted against the Duchess of Cambridge and rumours about the pair’s supposed feud were inescapable.

Meghan was mum-shamed within moments of making her first public appearance with baby Archie. They complain when she doesn’t attend events and accuse her of being attention seeking when she does.

It seems like the former Suits actress simply cannot win, no matter what she does.

Would it have been easier for Meghan to don an overpriced dress and grin for the cover of British Vogue’s September issue? Yes, but instead the mum curated an issue, alongside Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful and his team, that has made history, days before it’s publication date.

Meghan was offered to appear on the cover of the renowned fashion magazine, but politely declined, admitting that she felt it would be too boastful. Instead she gave 15 iconic women who will undoubtedly inspire the readers of one of Britain’s most iconic publications.

All of these women have important and empowering stories to share and the Duchess of Sussex generously gave them the opportunity to grace the cover and share their stories amongst the pages of the glossy magazine.

The Forces for Change issue has given these women a voice in a world that so quickly silences women for being different, especially women like Meghan Markle.

The Duchess stepped aside and let them share their words of wisdom. She was selfless, encouraging and incredibly kind in this act, so why do people feel the need to call her attention seeking, arrogant and stuck up?

Why do people fail to appreciate and acknowledge all of the momentous things she has achieved since joining the royal family?

Do these people just prefer to hate, criticise and downplay every single thing Meghan does? Does it make them feel better? Do they get a kick out of belittling a woman who has given up her privacy, and any ounce of normality for love?

The never-ending hatred aimed at the Duchess of Sussex needs to stop, because regardless of her royal title, she is still a human.

Ed explains that he is planning on writing a song to help raise awareness, but not about the issue Harry had in mind.

The singer quips, “That’s exactly what I’m trying to do, people just don’t understand what it's like for people like us. With the jokes, the snide comments, I just feel like it’s time that we stood up and we’re not going to take this anymore. We’re ginger and we’re going to fight.”

Harry replies, “Okay, that’s slightly awkward. There might have been a miscommunication but this is about World Mental Health Day.”

The Perfect singer then erases the words ‘gingers unite’ from the word document on his laptop.

The video ends with Harry and Ed urging people to talk and to listen to those suffering with their mental health.

The witty video is the perfect way to remind people of World Mental Health Day. “Both Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran want to ensure that not just today but every day, you look after yourself, your friends and those around you.

“There’s no need to suffer in silence – share how you’re feeling, ask how someone is doing and listen for the answer. Be willing to ask for help when you need it and know that we are all in this together,” the caption read.

They also added numerous mental health charities and resources that people can reach out to.
