Global pop/rock band The 1975 have announced a huge Dublin 3Arena gig ahead of the release of their fourth album.

Notes On A Conditional Form is hot on the heels of the band's third album,  A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, which garnered widespread critical acclaim after it's release.

The band released People to confused fans, with Matty Healy going into screamo mode for the tune. We personally love the change, and the boys also collaborated with climate activist Greta Thunberg.

The 1975 gave a phenomenal headliner set at Electric Picnic two weeks ago, where they blasted the Saturday evening stage.

The band will return to Ireland next May for their 3Arena show, with tickets set to fly out the door.  Notes On A Conditional Form is scheduled to be released on February 21.

The tour confirmation comes after the band unveiled their latest tune last month, described by NME as “a bone-rattling rallying cry for humankind to sort their shit out”. Sounds like Matty, eh?

When The 1975 played their incredible headline set at Reading and Leeds Festival over the weekend, many fans noticed that there was one notable person missing from the crowd.

Frontman Matty Healy has reportedly been dumped by long-term girlfriend Gabriella Brooks as a result of his party-boy lifestyle, according to The Sun.

The stunning model recently moved out of the pair's North London home. The former couple went public in 2017 at the Brit Awards but fans reckon they've been dating for four years.

Gabriella stuck by Matty after he underwent treatment for heroin addiction in rehab two years ago, but has decided to end things for good.

Gabby has been getting support from her pal Anais Gallagher, the daughter of Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher, since the heartbreaking split.

A source said: “Matty is great when he’s on form but he isn’t the easiest person to be with and leads a very unconventional life"

“There has been a lot of strain on their relationship, not helped by him being on tour a lot this year. He parties a lot at home when he’s there and Gabby had just had enough. She doesn’t want to lead her life like that.”

The band released their punk new song People last week in which he sings: “I’m just gonna get girls, food, gear. I don’t like going outside, so bring me everything here.”

He opened up about his battles with heroin in 2018, saying that Gabby was “incredibly wise and incredibly beautiful” he had “still risked it” despite knowing how much he had to lose.

Jess Glynne's Brit Awards performance has been hailed as "inspirational" after she removed her makeup during the song, backed by a legion of women.

She performed her hit single Thursday surrounded by fellow ladies removing their cosmetics in front of the audience, and we got CHILLZ (They're multiplyin').

Glynne looked stunning in a white strapless dress for the rendition, and emoved her false eyelashes and wipes off her eyeshadow during the lyrics; "I won’t wear makeup on Thursday, 'cause who I am is enough”.

The star was joined by a group of fellow women who also donned white for the occasion, and simultaneously removed their makeup using hand towels in front of vanity mirrors.

Halfway through the tune, the British singer was joined by two-time Grammy winner H.E.R, and the standout moment became all the more powerful.

A video of countless women removing makeup played behind them, showing the need to fight back against society's strict and unrealistic beauty standards for women.

Twitter has gone absolutely wild with praise for the pair, with one person even tweeting; “That was one of the most empowering performances I’ve ever seen." YAS.

The moment came just after The 1975 frontman and absolute feminist legend Matt Healy accepted band’s award for “Best British Group” and spoke out about misogyny in the entertainment industry.

The relevance; we heart.

Healy quoted an article written about singer Ryan Adams by friend and music journalist Laura Snapes, who writes for The Guardian and Pitchfork.

“Male misogynist acts are examined for nuance and defended as traits of ‘difficult’ artists, while women and those who call them out are treated as hysterics who don’t understand art.”

Bravo Jess, and Bravo Matt. We love you both, keep slamming the ridiculous standards of the music business.

The 1975 were playing a gig in Detroit, Michigan when the lead singer Matt Healy gave a heartfelt speech about the Manchester attacks.

The band frontman, who is from Manchester, spoke his mind about the attack, labelling the targeting of kids as 'bulls**t.'

'I’m bored of nationalism and I’m bored of racism. It’s over. Nationalism, religion, all these regressive things, they’re over. We can’t carry on in the way that we’re carrying on,' he said.

'We’re from Manchester and where we used to hang out, the actual place that we used to hang out, someone put a bomb in there tonight and then killed a bunch of kids that were going to a f**king show in Manchester.'

'I don’t need to be educated on f**king anything to say that that’s bulls**t.'

'I don’t know what it’s in the name of, so I apologise if it’s not in the name of religion, if it’s not in the name of nationalism, but these are things that keep happening and I’m f**king pissed off about it. And I’m sorry.'

The attacks occurred last night at an Ariana Grande concert in the Manchester Arena, killing 22 and injuring 59.

Children are among those confirmed dead.

Taylor Swift has been embracing the single life over the last few weeks, but a couple of months back it did seem as if she might have a new man on the scene.

The singer was said to be forming a budding romance with Matt Healy, the British frontman of rock band The 1975, and although the pair were never pictured out an about together there were a few telltale signs. Not only was Taylor spotted hanging out backstage at once of Matt's concerts, but the pair even swapped official merch – Matt was seen sporting a 1989 t-shirt while Taylor wore a cropped 1975 top while shopping in New York. Modern love, eh?

With no other spottings over the last few weeks, we naturally assumed things were over before they'd even began, but a source close to Matt says different! "Things have quieted down drastically between the two only because of Matt’s tour responsibilities and Taylor’s crazy schedule," said the insider.

"But he is going to be done and back in the states for two big opportunities to win back Taylor’s attention and heart."

Taylor and Matt are reportedly still in touch, and Matt is prepared to make some big gestures to show the Shake It Off singer that he's serious about her. "They still talk and he is fully aware that if he wants something to continue he may want to really go all out during these moments and be with her. If he isn’t then its pretty much finished," said the source.

Hmmm… either Matt's slightly delusional or he really does have a chance… hard to tell!

So it may not have quite have been the member of a (boy) band we were hoping for – but this is still adorable!

Matt Healy, singer of The 1975, has admitted that he and Taylor Swift have swapped numbers and said: “Let’s see what happens.”

Taylor attended a gig by the band in Hollywood recently along with Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding, and it sounds like the girls may have made their way backstage!

Matt was obviously very taken with Taylor and said during a recent radio interview: “I met Taylor Swift, that was really nice. We exchanged number. Let’s see what happens … I mean bloody hell, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She’s a sensation, I wouldn’t say no.”

In another adorable twist of cuteness, Matt was seen on stage wearing a 1989 t-shirt, in homage to his crush's new album, while Taylor was spotted out and about in The 1975 top too, aww!

Looks like Harry Styles better up his game if the recent rumours about him trying to win Taylor back are true…
