Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing stars have been left "shaken up" after leaving celebrity nightclub Tape just MINUTES before a triple stabbing.

Familiar faces such as Oti Mabuse, Katya Jones and Megan Barton Hanson were among those who narrowly missed the horrific attack in London’s Oxford Street in the early hours of Sunday.

It was Love Island alumni Ellie Brown's 21st birthday, which was why a host of reality TV celebrities were in attendance.

Strictly stars Oti Mabuse, Katya Jones and her husband Neil were there in order to celebrate Aljaz Skorjanec’s 28th birthday.

A Love Island source told The Sun: “They have been really shaken up and can’t help but think ‘what if’ had they left a bit later."

“Their night could have ended very differently if they had stayed at the nightclub. It has definitely prompted questions about security for some of the group.”

Oti, who is also a captain on BBC1’s The Greatest Dancer, brought Graziano Di Prima, Pasha Kovalev and Nadiya Bychkovaening to Tape following their dance performance that night.

Fellow captain Cheryl Tweedy went straight home after filming, but her dancer co-stars left Tape between 2am and 2.50am.

ITV2’s Love Island celebrities exited later, just a few minutes before the street stabbing took place at 3.40am. Laura Anderson left 15 minutes earlier while Megan Barton Hanson and Charlie Brake left at around 3.30am.

Love Island stars Zara McDermott and Ellie Brown, who celebrated her 21st birthday, exited the nightspot at roughly he same time.

Three men suffered stab and slash wounds in the chaotic attack; blood could be seen at the scene outside the pavement yesterday.

The Met Police said that all three 24-year-old men are now recovering in hospital, and their injuries are not lif-threatening. A spokesman added: “Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

“Two males have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon."

The statement continued,"They are currently in custody at central London police stations.”

The near-miss for the reality TV stars comes only two months after Strictly professional dancer AJ Pritchard and his dancer brother Curtis were beaten up by eight men at a Cheshire nightclub.

The ballroom dancer later hired personal security.

Calling all X-Factor fans!

Cheryl Tweedy is officially returning to the judging panel in the upcoming season of the now iconic talent show.

At least for the judges houses section of the competition anyway, according to a new photo released today.

In the snap, Cheryl can be spotted posing with head judge Simon Cowell at his mansion in southern France.

'Simon is ecstatic at getting Cheryl back working with him again,' a source previously told the Mail On Sunday.

'They’ve had their ups and downs to say the least but he hugely respects her opinion.'

'He has been working on it for a while,' they continued.

'He and Cheryl have been talking a lot over the last months…'

Cheryl first appeared on the panel back in 2008.

Tweedy, Cole, Fernandez-Versini… we've known Cheryl by various different identities since she first found fame with Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002.

Now, over a decade on, Cheryl is leaving her roots behind – all of them – and making like Beyoncé. Yup, the X Factor glamazon would reportedly prefer to be known on a first-name basis ONLY from now on.

It certainly seems like a good decision to us, given that Tweedy doesn't exactly fit with the uber-stylish Cheryl we've come to know, and that Cole and Fernandez-Versini are both surnames from her failed marriages.

According to Closer magazine, a few "keen fans" noticed that the singer was being referred to only as "Cheryl" at last night's BRIT Awards in London's O2.

Whether it was a request from Cheryl's camp, or a decision by the organisers to avoid calling her by the wrong surname remains to be seen, but either way we're totally on board.

It seems the 32-year-old has had something of a dilemma trying to settle on a permanent moniker since announcing her split from Jean-Bernard in early January.

"Cheryl has had to reinvent herself several times but her three past names all have very different memories," a source told The Sun recently.

"Tweedy is associated with her assault court case [after an incident in a nightclub in 2003], Cole with [her first husband] Ashley’s cheating."

According to documents obtained by the paper last month, Cheryl has requested that her current name, Fernandez-Versini, remain unchanged in any contracts linked to her company, CC Couture Ltd.

However in celebrity and media circles it seems she's happiest to go surname-free from now on.

After news of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's split from her husband broke earlier this month, fans wondered if yet another surname change was in order for the star.

Since her early days as a Popstars contestant, we've known Cheryl under a few different names, each with a very different identity – her Girls Aloud/wild child days as Cheryl Tweedy, her first marriage and solo music career as Cheryl Cole, and the last 18 months as Ms. Fernandez-Versini.

But according to documents obtained by The Sun, the singer is keen to keep the double-barrelled surname, to avoid returning to one of the old surnames that simply have negative associations for her.

"Cheryl has had to reinvent herself several times but her three past names all have very different memories," a source told the paper.

"Tweedy is associated with her assault court case [after an incident in a nightclub in 2003], Cole with [her first husband] Ashley’s cheating."

The documents show that Cheryl has requested that her current name, Fernandez-Versini, remain unchanged in any contracts linked to her company, CC Couture Ltd.

It's thought that the X Factor judge and her second husband Jean-Bernard "secretly" split back in August, but made things official by filing for divorce at the start of January.

A look at her latest Instagram posts show that Cheryl's been doing her best to keep busy, getting some time at the gym in as well as a night out with her Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberly Walsh and Nicola Roberts.

Looking good, Cheryl – we bet Jean-Bernard was feeling more than a little regretful after seeing that snap.
