Oti Mabuse

Kelvin Fletcher may have been the last minute replacement on Strictly Come Dancing but the former Emmerdale star has swiftly become one of the top contenders for this year’s glitter ball trophy.

Viewers were stunned by his saucy Samba and mesmerised by his wonderful Waltz in the first two episodes and now we can look forward to the dad’s cheeky Charleston.

Kelvin and his dance partner, Oti Mabuse have been rehearsing their new routine all week but the dad enlisted the help of one very adorable family member and the video is bound to melt your heart.

Proving that he has been squeezing dance practice into every second of the day, the dad danced around with his adorable son Milo in his arms.

Kelvin and his baby boy pranced around their kitchen to the Mary Poppins Returns soundtrack and they really do make the cutest duo.

Watch out, Oti!

The actor wrote, “Little Milo has been helping me with rehearsals for this weekend’s #MarryPoppinsReturns Charleston!

“This soundtrack and this song especially has been on loop in our house for the last few months since taking Marnie to the cinema (her first cinema trip) to watch it. So I’ll be doing my best and making sure I don’t disappoint!” the dad-of-two added.

Kelvin couldn’t help but gush about the Strictly experience, “I’m absolutely LOVING this #strictly experience I feel so lucky.”

It looks like little Milo is enjoying the Strictly experience just as much as his dad is.

Kelvin and Oti will perform a Charleston to Trip A Little Light Fantasti' by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Strictly season is officially kicking off, and the excitement has been building up every since the announcement that Oti Mabuse's sister will replace Shirley Ballas as a judge on the show.

28-year-old Latin dancer Nancy Xu will take the place of departing pro dancer Pasha Kovalev, which is another change to the regular line-up of pro dancers and judges.

The first three Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestants appear to have been accidentally leaked on TV ahead of the schedule today on Good Morning Britain.

Radio presenter Iain Lee was discussing the upcoming announcement on The One Show when he let slip that Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice would be taking part in the BBC dancing series.

When hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway asked him about the news, Iain replied: "They are going to announce the first three people on a show called The One Show – it’s going to be Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice."

Ben asked: "They are announcing it later and you have already announced it?" Iain wasn't overly worried, turning to the camera and saying; "Sorry One Show! Sorry Alex Jones!"

Ben then confirmed the names he'd been told, and Kate commented: "See Anneka I think will be good, Jamie will be good. You know Sam quite well."

The show has denied that the Strictly professionals are worried that new judge Motsi will give 'preferential treatment' to her sister Oti Mabuse , who is a member of the dancing cast.

They fear that there will be bias when it comes to dishing out scores and that Motsi will go easy on her younger sister, 28.

Motsi and Oti have already been in a similar position when Oti was a pro on the German show for two series and and has already experienced being judged by her sibling.

“Motsi is totally impartial,” said a source. “She will be scrupulously fair, as she always was with Oti on the German version.”

"In less than two weeks the pros go back. The professionals do all the professional routines. So we have a month where we go in every day to learn a new dance and then we meet the celebrities. When I find out who my celebrity is, it's legit on camera and on TV, so it's very exciting."

Big changes are afoot on this years' show, with new judge Motsi Mabuse revealed just the other day. Motsi is the older sister of Strictly pro Oti Mabuse, and is taking over from Dame Darcey Bussell.

"I am absolutely overjoyed to be joining the Strictly judging panel," she said. "I have so much respect and admiration for the other three judges and hope to add my own bit of sparkle to the show. I can't wait to get started."

Former champion Ore Oduba, who lifted the Glitterball Trophy in the 2016 series with Joanne Clifton, spoke of the difficulties Darcey’s replacement Motsi will face:

“I think whoever they choose is someone who has that wealth of knowledge. These pros know what they’re talking about.

“You see them getting judged, it’s a very difficult world if you’re laying judgment on people who know more than you," he continued. “But all the pros respect each other."

Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing stars have been left "shaken up" after leaving celebrity nightclub Tape just MINUTES before a triple stabbing.

Familiar faces such as Oti Mabuse, Katya Jones and Megan Barton Hanson were among those who narrowly missed the horrific attack in London’s Oxford Street in the early hours of Sunday.

It was Love Island alumni Ellie Brown's 21st birthday, which was why a host of reality TV celebrities were in attendance.

Strictly stars Oti Mabuse, Katya Jones and her husband Neil were there in order to celebrate Aljaz Skorjanec’s 28th birthday.

A Love Island source told The Sun: “They have been really shaken up and can’t help but think ‘what if’ had they left a bit later."

“Their night could have ended very differently if they had stayed at the nightclub. It has definitely prompted questions about security for some of the group.”

Oti, who is also a captain on BBC1’s The Greatest Dancer, brought Graziano Di Prima, Pasha Kovalev and Nadiya Bychkovaening to Tape following their dance performance that night.

Fellow captain Cheryl Tweedy went straight home after filming, but her dancer co-stars left Tape between 2am and 2.50am.

ITV2’s Love Island celebrities exited later, just a few minutes before the street stabbing took place at 3.40am. Laura Anderson left 15 minutes earlier while Megan Barton Hanson and Charlie Brake left at around 3.30am.

Three men suffered stab and slash wounds in the chaotic attack; blood could be seen at the scene outside the pavement yesterday.

The Met Police said that all three 24-year-old men are now recovering in hospital, and their injuries are not lif-threatening. A spokesman added: “Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

“Two males have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon."

The ballroom dancer later hired personal security.
