Yesterday, Tiger Woods was arrested for a DUI in his home state of Florida.

The golfer, who less than a decade ago was raking in €1 billion, was arrested for "driving erratically, all over the road," in the early hours of the morning.

According to TMZ, police sources said that the former sportsman was "arrogant," when the police smelled booze off his breath and refused to take a breathalyser test.

This refusal led to an automatic arrest, however this morning his team have insisted that he was not drunk.

Instead, they're claiming the incident was the result of "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications."

He was in police custody for nearly four hours before being released.

In a statement, Tiger said: "I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.

"I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realise the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.

"I would like to apologise with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more from myself too.

"I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.

"I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Department and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office for their professionalism."

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that the individual was arrested in the city this morning.

"With regards to the ongoing investigation into last night’s horrific attack at the Manchester arena, we can confirm we have arrested a 23-year-old man in South Manchester," they said in a statement released to the press.

It finally looked like Tyga said goodbye to his money problems, but as it turns out, he's not even close to saying so-long!

After escaping arrest for not paying his landlord, the rapper partied the week away in the Turks and Caicos Islands to celebrate his girlfriend's, Kylie Jenner's birthday.

A photo posted by King Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

Tyga owed $480,000 in damages made to the landlord's house, and failed to pay. An issue was made for his arrest, and then suddenly, the rapper had the money to pay back his former landlord.

But the party might have been short-lived as it turns out he now faces a new $200,000 lawsuit over a watch and chain he received in 2013.

Happy bday  @kyliejenner

According to TMZ, Tyga has yet to pay the sum after receiving the jewellery from designer Jason Arasheben – and Jason is tired of waiting around.

The site claims that Mr Arasheben has now hired a full team of lawyers, so we can't see Ty getting away with this one either.

He was one of the most controversial characters in the Fr Ted series, and now a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Gerard McSorley has starred in numerous shows and movies over the years including Veronica Guerin, Braveheart and The Tudors, but we all know him as Father Todd Unctious in Father Ted.

The actor is accused of damaging a bank's flower pots (we kid you not), but Gardai have been unable to track him down. They have two months to find him or else the case will be called again.

Dungloe District Court heard this morning that Gerard damaged two flower pots at the Bank of Ireland in Bunbeg, Co Donegal last March.

In the summons, the pots were marked as the property of the bank's manager, Marion Boyle, but Gerard failed to turn up to court today to accept the damages.

After the hearing, Inspector David Murphy said he was applying for a warrant for the actor's arrest, but defence solicitor Jacqui Sharkey asked for the case to be put back.

An hour later it was called again, and with Mr McSorely still not present, the warrant was issued.

The next hearing will take place on September 13.
