We like to think of it as Ireland's very own Fast And Furious event (albeit, *sad face*, with no Vin Diesel and no The Rock): yup, CannonBall has now kicked off at the 3Arena in Dublin.

In its eight year, the supercar spectacle has raised more than €850,000 for Irish charities and this year all proceeds will go to Pieta House

Some 190 supercars are taking part for 2016 – watched by more than 150,000 spectators who will line the streets around Dublin, Cavan, Westport, Bunratty, Galway, Tullamore and Wexford over the next three days.

British actor Bruno Langley of Doctor Who fame, Todd Grimshaw and Ryan Thomas from Coronation Street, Glenda Gilson, Eoghan McDermott, Miriam O'Callaghan, George Hook, Michelle McGrath and Emma Quinlan are all taking part in some capacity and were on hand this morning to kick-off proceedings in Dublin.

And as the vehicles pull into their pitstops around Ireland, family-friendly festivals will herald their arrival – think the likes of Las Vegas show girls, live music, DJs, local entertainers, confetti cannons, lots of Manhattan popcorn, and Cannonball official merchandise.

Pieta House, a suicide and self-harm crisis centre with nine centres throughout Ireland and one in New York providing a free professional one-to-one therapeutic service.

Many of the cars – which includes the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Masseratti, Rolls Royce and Bentley – have come from UK, other areas in Europe and Dubai. In total, the fleet is worth around €30m.

Selena Gomez sent her Irish fans into a total tailspin last April after announcing that she would be taking to the stage in the 3Arena this November.

As part of the European leg of The Revival Tour, the former Disney star revealed that she would be playing Dublin this winter, and it sounds like she cannot wait to meet her European fanbase.

With a few months to go  – the tour kicks off in Helsinki on October 10th – Selena decided to record a special message for her continental followers, and it is beyond sweet.

"Every single stop that I am going to, I am more than beyond excited to be there and see everybody," she said in the footage which hit YouTube today.

"To be able to travel the world and meet all of my fans means the world to me," she added. (Sorry Justin, that's just how Sel rolls…)

And if you're still in dire need of a ticket for her Dublin gig on November 8th, be sure to sort yourself out here

After teasing some "big news" this morning, Gavin James has finally revealed that he'll be playing in the 3Arena this December.

The singer was on FM104 this morning to share his good news, as it will be his only headline show for 2016.

Just weeks after cancelling a number of US tour dates due to health reasons, Janet Jackson has cancelled her entire Europe/UK tour.

Ticketmaster informed fans of the sudden change via email this morning, adding that it was "not possible" to confirm new dates at present and that those with tickets should return to their point of purchase for a full refund.

Among the gigs affected – which include concerts in France, Germany, Scotland and England – is Janet's April 2nd gig at Dublin's 3Arena.

The Ticketmaster email cited "scheduling difficulties" as the main reason for the tour cancellation, but some Twitter users speculated that low ticket sales could be to blame:

Back in December, Janet postponed all dates on her US tour to give her time to recover from vocal chord surgery, but rescheduled the dates just two weeks later.

Right, first up, if you have a ticket for one of Adele's two Dublin gigs, count yourself very, very lucky.

The roughly 45,000 tickets for the 3Arena gigs tonight (March 4) and tomorrow (March 5) sold out in minutes when they went on sale back in December.

MCD have released some important information ahead of the concerts, which we heartily suggest throwing your eyes over before heading to the 3Arena. After beating the odds and nabbing a ticket, it'd be pretty upsetting to miss out on the gig because of a mix-up with times or dates.

The main thing to make note of is that Adele's show kicks off at 8pm sharp, with no support act. Doors at the 3Arena will be open from 6.30pm, and give yourself plenty of time to get there, especially if you'll be battling Friday traffic this evening.

Secondly, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and the standing area is for over 14s only. Good to know if you're bringing along younger kids.

After her Dublin gigs, Adele is headed for Manchester, London, Glasgow and Birmingham, before spending May and June touring the rest of Europe.

See you there!

Rihanna, Adele, Little Mix, and now Justin Bieber – it sounds like 2016 is going to be a stellar year for Irish pop music fans.

Yes, Justin Bieber has just confirmed that he'll be bringing his Purpose World Tour to the 3Arena on November 1st, 2016.

It might be a VERY long way off yet, but tickets go on sale in just a few days time, on Thursday December 17.

Following on from his 64-date North American tour, the singer will kick off his international tour next September, starting with Europe.

Justin's last trip to Dublin was back in 2013, where he played the same venue (then the O2, doncha know) to a sold-out crowd for two nights on the trot.

Of course, the only reason we'd head along this time around is to hear his latest singles – Sorry, What Do You Mean and Where Are U Now. Bangers, the lot of 'em.

Will you be buying tickets for next November?

Tonight, U2 play the first of their four sold-out concerts in Dublin's 3Arena. And what did the lads do to prepare themselves for the gig?

They went out for a pint of Guinness, of course!

The lads spent a few hours in Peter's Pub on South William Street, and surprisingly, went pretty much unnoticed until they posted a photo onto their Twitter account.

They captioned the snap of the four pints, "The boys are back in town," which made fans even more excited about tonight's gig.

And as for who the photographer was? Many fans are claiming it's Bono as they're trying to take close-ups of the shared photo.

Either way, it's a brilliant idea to let their fans know the boys are back on home turf.
