Arthur Gourounlian is celebrating a very special day today- his birthday!

As Arthur celebrates his first birthday since becoming a dad to Blake, his husband Brian Dowling has marked the special occasion by sharing a moving tribute for his other half online.

The former Big Brother star took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message alongside a photo of Arthur and their nine-month-old.

Brian captioned the post, “The HAPPIEST of Birthdays to our KING & PAPA @gourounlian. Thank you for always being there for Blake & me & ALWAYS HAVING OUR BACKS. I know sometimes and only sometimes I can be a bit much but you ALWAYS KEEP SMILING".

"We are both so lucky to have you. Today is your day but also Ms. Blake’s as she is 9 months old today, so you can share the day".

"It’s a birthday you will remember FOREVER as it’s your first one as a Papa”, he sweetly wrote before adding, “We LOVE YOU”.

His Dancing with the Stars judge husband commented on the emotional post by saying, “Well, it was THE BEST birthday wake-up call I've EVER had. LOVE YOU both so so much. Grateful every day even those days when you are a bit much”.

Arthur also shared an adorable video of Blake giving him his first-ever birthday card from her.

The 43-year-old captioned the cute video, “Happy Thursday you gorgeous people! Well, it was THE BEST birthday wake-up call I’ve EVER had. LOVE YOU both so so much”.

Brian then went onto his Instagram Stories to speak about how birthdays change once you become a parent. “I do think when you have children and become a parent, I think birthdays change”.

“When you have a child, you’re so distracted with their survival that it’s so funny, you know, you can still of course celebrate your birthday, absolutely, but it’s a different feeling because it’s always about your child or children on your birthday which is odd… It's something I didn’t think that Arthur and I would be feeling”.

Tallulah Willis has shared an insight into her dad Bruce Willis’ diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.

Bruce was originally diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 and at the beginning of this year, the Die Hard star’s family revealed it had progressed to FTD.

While speaking to Vogue, 29-year-old Tallulah opened up about the details of her dad’s condition, when she first started noticing signs and how she's dealing with it.

She explained, “I’ve known that something was wrong for a long time. It started out with a kind of vague unresponsiveness, which the family chalked up to Hollywood hearing loss, ‘Speak up! Die Hard messed with Dad’s ears’”.

Credit: Tallulah Willis Instagram

The Whole Ten Yards actress revealed she thought her dad had lost interest in her when he welcomed children with his second wife, but in reality, it was early signs of his disease.

“Later that unresponsiveness broadened, and I sometimes took it personally. He had had two babies with my stepmother, Emma Heming Willis, and I thought he’d lost interest in me. Though this couldn’t have been further from the truth”.

“I admit that I have met Bruce’s decline in recent years with a share of avoidance and denial that I’m not proud of. The truth is that I was too sick myself to handle it. For the last four years, I have suffered from anorexia nervosa, which I’ve been reluctant to talk about because, after getting sober at age 20, restricting food has felt like the last vice that I got to hold on to”.

Speaking about when her dad’s diagnosis really hit her, Tallulah mentioned being at a wedding and hearing the bride’s dad talking about his daughter and realising it was unlikely that she would experience the same moment.

Credit: Tallulah Willis Instagram

“I was at a wedding in the summer of 2021 on Martha’s Vineyard, and the bride’s father made a moving speech. Suddenly I realised that I would never get that moment, my dad speaking about me in adulthood at my wedding. It was devastating. I left the dinner table, stepped outside, and wept in the bushes”.

Tallulah went on to talk about keeping as much memorabilia as she can from Bruce by saying, “Every time I go to my dad’s house, I take tons of photos of whatever I see, the state of things… I have every voicemail from him saved on a hard drive. I find that I’m trying to document, to build a record for the day when he isn’t there to remind me of him and of us”.

“Thankfully, dementia has not affected his mobility….He likes things that feel heavy in the hand, that he can spin around in his fingers”.

Credit: Tallulah Willis Instagram

Tallulah went on to admit that thankfully her dad still recognises her as his frontotemporal dementia won’t necessarily mean he will lose his memory.

“He still knows who I am and lights up when I enter the room. (He may always know who I am, give or take the occasional bad day. One difference between FTD and Alzeimer’s dementia is that, at least early in the disease, the former is characterised by language and motor deficits, while the latter features more memory loss)”.

“I keep flipping between the present and the past when I talk about Bruce: he is, he was, he is, he was. That’s because I have hopes for my father that I’m so reluctant to let go of”.

She heartbreakingly added, “I’ve always recognized elements of his personality in me, and I just know that we’d be such good friends if only there were more time”.

Emma Willis has praised her husband Matt after receiving an award nomination.

Last month, the Busted star released a documentary titled Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction, in which he openly discussed his struggles with alcohol and drugs, as well as his relapses in recent years.

The candid film received a wealth of praise from viewers, and has now been nominated for a National Television Award.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, TV presenter Emma uploaded a portrait of her husband and shared her admiration for him.

“Just after Matt's doc aired, we took some time out for ourselves and had a trip away. Whilst we were there, we found out that Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction has been nominated for a National Television Award for Best Authored documentary!” she exclaimed.

The 47-year-old went on to praise her partner. “We are absolutely blown away as we didn’t expect it at all. So as his biggest cheerleader, it’s only right that I shout about it, as I know he won’t,” she teased.

“It’s a really tough category as all the docs on the list are incredible, but to be on it and recognised is a really lovely feeling, especially as there was so much self doubt and anxiety about making it in the first place…” Emma continued.

Credit: Emma Willis Instagram

The former Big Brother host expressed that she is grateful for the public’s response. “It’s taken him many years to get to a place where he can speak openly about addiction, so for him to put himself out there was a huge step but the response we’ve had, made it all worth while,” she penned.

“Thank you again, so much, for your kind messages and for sharing your own stories and experiences. It’s important for all of us to keep talking about it,” Emma concluded.

Many fans have since taken to Emma’s comments section to congratulate Matt on his achievement.

“That’s epic news,” one follower wrote.

“Had to vote for him, he's my hero,” another added.

The National Television Awards are due to take place in London on September 5, with voting closing tomorrow at 11pm.

It’s been revealed that an upcoming Love Island star previously had the chance to go on the show.

Ruchee Gurung, who was announced earlier this week as part of the initial lineup for this summer’s Love Island, has shared that she was first scouted by producers a few years ago.

However, the 24-year-old beautician has now explained the reason why she didn’t take her chance at the time.

Speaking to press before she heads into the villa this weekend, Ruchee was asked how she gained her spot in this year’s iconic lineup.

"I was scouted through Instagram,” she confirmed, before going on to share that it was not the first time she was asked.

“And actually, they reached out to me a couple of years ago as well. I think it was 2021, they reached out to me for the winter one.”

Credit: Ruchee Gurung Instagram

Ruchee continued by explaining why she turned down her first Love Island opportunity. "And at the time, I was actually kind of seeing someone and I was getting to know him. And I really liked him,” she admitted.

"I also felt like I was really young, so I just didn't feel comfortable,” she added. “I just didn't think it was the right time. Although my friends were all like: 'Are you crazy? Like you're not gonna go on it because you're getting to know this guy?' But I just didn't feel like it was the right time.”

Ruchee recalled how she felt when she was scouted for a second time. “And then obviously, they reached out to me again, a couple of months ago.”

Credit: Love Island Instagram

"I was like: 'You know what, this is a sign, this is the second time. I'm single, I'm grown, I'm 24. I've got my s**t together. Let me just try it and apply for it.' So yeah, I did it and now I'm here!" she exclaimed.

Viewers can catch Ruchee’s entrance to the villa when Love Island begins this Monday, June 5, at 9pm on Virgin Media Two/ITV2.

An annual grant has been announced for carers and their families.

125,000 carers and their families will now receive an annual grant of €1,850 as a means of added support.

The €260M package has been created in order to recognise the key role that carers play nationwide each and every day.

Today, Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys TD, has announced the payment of the Carer’s Support Grant to the 125,000 carers across the country.

The grant is available to all carers providing full-time care to an older person or a person with a disability, regardless of their means or social insurance contributions.

The grant is paid in respect of each person being cared for to take the additional cost of providing care into account and to recognise the particular challenges faced by these carers.

Almost 14,000 carers are providing care for two or more people and will now receive a grant for each person they are caring for.

The Carer’s Support Grant is paid automatically to all recipients of Carer’s Allowance (whether full rate or half rate), Carer’s Benefit, or Domiciliary Care Allowance. It is also available to other full-time carers who are not receiving any of the aforementioned payments.

Speaking out about the grant, Minister Humphreys stated, "I am very pleased to announce that over 125,000 carers will receive the annual Carer’s Support Grant of €1,850 this week. This will be paid automatically to those who are receiving the Carer’s Allowance, Carer’s Benefit and Domiciliary Care Allowance schemes".

“When I became Minister for Social Protection, I increased the Carer’s Support Grant to €1,850. This is part of a suite of measures I introduced in recognition of the vital role of carers and the contribution they make to society”.

“I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to all carers in Ireland for the vital and valuable contribution you play in supporting those that need help and assistance. As we work towards the next Budget, our carers will be front and centre of my approach as Minister and my ambition is to support them even further”.

Khloé Kardashian has been opening up about her experience with melanoma.

The Kardashians star initially revealed to her fans in October of last year that she had found a worrying ‘bump’ on her cheek. A biopsy concluded that it was cancerous, and she subsequently underwent surgery on her face to remove the tumour.

Now, in this week’s episode of the hit reality show, the 38-year-old has been filling her fans in on the full story behind her health scare.

In the episode, it was revealed that Khloé noticed the lump for around 8 months, and after initially presuming it was a normal spot, she went to get it checked.

Credit: Khloé Kardashian Instagram

"I have done one biopsy on this bump that I just assumed was a zit, turns out it's not a zit," she stated to the camera. "It’s melanoma and for my age, it’s incredibly rare."

"Melanoma is deadly," the mum-of-two detailed, adding: "This is way more serious than I either understood or I anticipated it to be."

The brand-new episode also allowed viewers a glimpse into Khloé’s recovery following her surgery. The footage showcased the reality star with bandages and stitches across the left side of her face.

Credit: Hulu/Disney+

Speaking to friend Malika, Khloé went on to say that “a lot more than what they thought had to be removed.”

“And so what they just don’t know is if it’s pre-cancerous or if it already went to cancer,” she added.

The Good American founder expressed in a confessional how she felt following her surgery. “I woke up and I had this huge bandage on my face, and I couldn’t really move my mouth because I had stitches on the inside of my mouth, too,” she recalled.

Several members of Khloé’s family also decided to share their thoughts during the episode.

"Khloé has a little bit of a history with melanoma and cancerous lesions, so this on her face is very concerning to me," admitted mother Kris Jenner.

“To find out it's melanoma is obviously really scary and I just hope that everything's gonna be okay,” younger sister Kylie later confessed.

The Kardashians is available to stream now on Disney+.
