The things we tell ourselves getting dressed every morning

by

We all have that same morning routine don’t we? North, the little diva, summoned it up pretty well in Instagram form.

Wake up: flawless. Think about the day’s outfit: complete and utter chaos and ensuing meltdown while sitting on the side of the bed.

Also, the fact that the Irish weather is just having an absolute laugh at our wardrobe’s expense right now does not help. ‘Do I need a coat?’ and ‘What if it gets hot after lunch?’ are questions that plague us daily.

Oh, and then there’s also the timeless classic of a predicament, I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR! Wardrobes full of all kinds of fabulous pieces but do you think we can summon the inner strength to coordinate before the working day? Nope.

Here are some of the most common thoughts we had when trying to dress ourselves before we leave the house.

“I’m going to plan my outfit while I’m in the shower, or having breakfast, or doing my hair… or just never.”

“I should have bought that dress when I had the chance…”

“I hate everything I own. Why did I even buy all these jeans I hate them!”

“I need to iron this. Crap.”

“But will anyone notice? The office is kinda dark, right?”

“Nobody even looks at me. Why do I care what other people think?”

“I’m amazing and I can wear whatever I want.”

“I’m going to be late.”

“Do I even like this? Yes. I do. Go with it.”

“Is that snow outside?”

“I’m wearing my sunglasses anyway. Chic.”
