‘The cat’s out of the bag’ Ed Sheeran confirms his Game of Thrones role

It's official, ladies.

Ed Sheeran will, indeed, be making a guest appearance on season 7 of Games of Thrones, and social media is struggling to deal right now.

In addition to news reports announcing Ed's upcoming role, the man himself took to Twitter to confirm the speculation, tweeting: "Guess that cats out of the bag." (sic)

Commenting on rumours at the South by Southwest Film Festival yesterday, producers for the hit show revealed that Ed will indeed be making an appearance, but kept schtum on any further details pertaining to the singer's character.

Fans of the singer who wouldn't generally consider themselves Game of Thrones fan have (unsurprisingly) had a sudden change of heart.
