The bootle has arrived… and tbh we’re very uncomfortable about it
The temperatures are rising, finally. We all know that dressing for the heat can be challenge.
The age old trauma of dads walking in sandals with socks is something we can never ever forget. Making style savvy footwear choices all summer long is difficult, nobody wants cold feet ruining their first official summer BBQ.
Who hasn't been living it up in their finest cowboy boots and thought, 'I wish I could wear these and keep my toes cool in this summer heat'?
Lucky for everyone, a shoemaker in Missouri has the solution.

Redneck Boot Sandals.
Yes, they are an actual item of clothing. No, we haven’t seen a pair hit the streets of Ireland yet (thankfully).

Scotty Franklin, the creator and true visionary, has managed to make them somewhat of a hit in Midwestern states. We’re kind of hoping that’s the only place, because we’re struggling to envision these going down well in, say, Paris. Or anyway, for that matter.
The idea was to help those lovers of cowboy boots survive the summer heat by taking away the material that covers the toe and arch of the foot. What is left behind is… well, you can see for yourself. And isn't it certainly something?
According to the Facebook page “lot of gals are getting them for weddings and special events”.
A number of Scott’s happy customers in the US are also calling them ‘bootles’.

The trend has managed to spread as far as Canada. And Tanya took hers to the Dominican Republic.

Which all-in-all means that the Redneck Boot Sandal has officially knocked Crocs off the top spot of world’s ugliest shoe: no easy feat.
