The beginning of the end? One Direction are giving away tickets

One Direction have been giving away free tickets for their US tour.

While this is no doubt music to boatloads of fans ears, the surprising giveaway is apparently because of a serious slump in ticket sales.

The boy’s On The Road Again tour puts the now-foursome performing in stadiums instead of arenas which is really putting the pressure on to fill the seats.

It is thought that Zayn’s recent departure from the band is the reason behind their sudden decline in fame.

According to the Daily Star, when fans are purchasing their tickets Stateside, they are given the option to get two free tickets for every pair of tickets bought.

However, a spokesperson for the band denied rumours that their fame is ‘fading,’ insisting that it is simply a discount for fans.

“This promotion was part of the Honda tour sponsorship deal. All artists offer ticket promotions for fans, so there is no story here.”

As devastated as we were when Zayn left, if it means we get free tickets we may just get on board!
