We're well over half way through the first month of the year, and despite all our good intentions, 2018 has not been the fresh start we were hoping for.

Our gym shoes are collecting dust, dry January is out the window and our organisational skills leave much to be desired.

However, it's never too late to get back on the horse, and with spring just around the corner, it might be time to start thinking about ridding our wardrobes of all that pesky clutter.

With the launch of its Give Up Clothes for Good campaign this February, TK Maxx are encouraging people to donate any unwanted clothes, accessories and quality homeware items to their nearest branch to raise vital funds for Enable Ireland.

A host of well known faces are putting themselves behind the campaign, and now you too can get involved to take action for children and young people with disabilities in Ireland.

Taking part is simple. All you need to do is bring any unwanted items to the special collections points located in all TK Maxx stores and nominate a friend or family member to do the same.

Share your donations and nominations using #GUCFG on Facebook and Twitter.

We furnish our homes with as much care and consideration as we fill our wardrobes, so imagine our excitement when we heard that an amazing bargain designer homeware store was making its way to the Emerald Isle.

Homesense is officially en route, and is set to open new stores here in the next two weeks.

The store is part of the TK Maxx family, and offers designer and branded homeware for up to 60 per cent less. Sounds like our kind of place.

Exactoly a week later, a second store will open in The Capitol development in Cork on June 15.

'We are so excited about launching our second brand, Homesense, in Ireland this summer,' Deborah Dolce, Group Brand and Marketing Director, told Dublin Live.

'Irish shoppers have warmly adopted TK Maxx since we launched twenty years ago.'

'Customers here certainly have a keen eye for quality and are brilliant at finding bargains.'

'So imagine a store the size of a TK Maxx, but just packed with branded and eclectic homeware at amazing prices – this is what Homesense has to offer and we hope shoppers will embrace it.'

'It should certainly suit the house-proud and interior aficionados across Ireland who love to discover unique finds for their homes at irresistible prices.'

We have a feeling our apartments are about to be very full and our bank accounts very empty…

Calling all beauty lovers!

TK Maxx has launched an amazing beauty event, and we (and our make up bags) are beyond excited.

The event will be the brand's biggest beauty offering ever, and will be hosted in TK Maxx stores for two weeks.

The retail giant is offering up to 60 per cent off top quality beauty products. As if we needed another excuse to shop!

We're talking designer and quality skin-care products, much-loved hair-care brands and big-name beauty and fragrance sets with massive discounts.

Top industry insiders Tara O'Farrell, Triona McCarthy and Joanne Kelly have been offering their top tips on how to utilise this amazing deal.

Insta-famous makeup artist Tara O'Farrell advises investing in mineral makeup to get that covetable flawless complexion, as they are 'so much lighter on the skin.'

'Eyebrows done the right way can knock 10 years off you,' she said, citing great brows as a key element to the perfect makeup look.

Hair stylist Joanne Kelly was also on hand to give her recommended tips, which include using a hair cleansing treatment a few times a week, and using oil-based masks.

'Using masks that contain coconut and argan oil will really nourish the hair and help to de-tangle it at the same time,' she said.

So, now we know exactly what kind of beauty products we'll be stocking up on this summer.

*Competition closed – Congrats to Miriam Cassidy*

Daisy Lowe and Thomas Cohen only went public with their relationship a couple of weeks ago, but the pair are wasting no time.

In fact, it appears they're already swapping clothes, if Thomas's latest choice of outfit is anything to go by.

The father of two was spotted out and about in London this week sporting a very familiar leather shearling jacket.

Haven't we seen that somewhere before?

Oh yes, that's right:

Unlike Thomas's relaxed printed trousers, Daisy generally teams the jacket with something a little more stylish, like the above black jeans and biker boots combo.

The pair have been pictured together on various afternoon outings this month, both with and without Thomas's sons, three-year-old Astala and two-year-old Phaedra, from his marriage to the late Peaches Geldof.

But it's not only her new boyfriend who Daisy has been donating clothes too, it seems. The model was in Dublin last week to help launch this year's Give Up Clothes For Good campaign with TK Maxx Ireland.

Shoppers are asked to donate clothes and homewares at drop-off points in TK Maxx's Irish stores all year long, with the donated items being sold in Enable Ireland charity shops to help raise money for Irish children with disabilities.

Even Daisy got on board, giving up one of her favourite dresses for the cause. "It was hard to part with," she admitted.

Dresses, jackets… at this rate Daisy will need a whole new wardrobe.
