As of December 1, Iarnród Éireann customers will face revised fares on some services.

The National Transport Authority has determined that a range of Iarnród Éireann fares will increase by an average of 1.2 percent. However, a number of fare types will see no increase.

These changes include a simplified structure on the Cork commuter fare, which will see a fare reduction of up to 25 per cent.

Further to this, Intercity express single fares will be reduced by an average of 5 percent to improve value and reduce the differential between the Dublin Short Hop Zone and Intercity zone.

Under-fives will travel for free on all DART, Commuter and Intercity lines.
