When they 'consciously uncoupled' in 2014, everyone assumed that Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow had this whole separation nailed because, let's face it, who comes up with that term without having everything under control?!

It turns out, though, the fallout was worse than most of us realised – something which Gwynnie opened up about during a recent interview with Red magazine.

It sounds like the star had a tough time holding things together, explaining: "I have to say it wasn't the outcome we were hoping for, but it was our outcome and we've really done the best that we can."

"So we really tried and that meant I'm gonna check my s**t at the door, and I'm going to focus on all the reasons that I love you, that you're like my brother and my family forever and we'll deal with that stuff another time."

Her brother? Really?

"It's not always easy, but it's just the way we wanted to try to do it," she added of the stressful time. "I think that I'm very lucky in that I have such a willing partner in agreeing with, and teaching me, as much as I taught him."

It turns out the couple had broken up a full YEAR before they ever made their now infamous announcement – Maybe it took a full 12 months to come up with the 'consciously uncouple' phrase?

With Amy Schumer set to play Goldie Hawn's daughter in an upcoming movie, it's fair to say the two actresses have probably grown quite close over the course of the movie's shoot.

Close enough that Amy thought nothing of FaceTiming with the veteran actress in order to make her dad's 'dream come true'.

In footage which she uploaded to Instagram this week, the Trainwreck star can be seen holding the phone for her poppa as he engaged in a little nervous chitchat with the Hollywood heavy-hitter.

Sounding like a guy on his first date, Amy's dad, Gordon, makes small talk while Amy chimes in from time to time to keep the conversation going.

"FaceTime with the goddess Goldie Hawn making my dad's dream come true," wrote Amy alongside the heartwarming clip which has clocked up more than 60,000 likes so far.

Fans of the star were hit right in the feels as they watched Gordon eagerly chat to his daughter's co-star, with one writing: "That's beautiful. Teary eyed. Dads are the best."

Set to play Capital's SummertimeBall this June, the Little Mix member will have to perform for the masses all the while knowing that her former bae is on the same bill and likely to pop up at any minute.

Mad to highlight the reality star's cringey moment, the internet swiftly created a meme, which read: "If only there was something you could wear on your head to shield your eyes from the sun."

Acknowledging the fact that some things are simply indisputable in this life, Kendall sided with Kylie's haterz by regramming the moritifying photo and writing: "If only."

If you thought you had heard the last of Celebrity Big Brother's most irritating love-match, spare a thought for holiday-makers who were forced to endure the controversial couple's screaming match in a Cape Verde hotel on Monday night.

According to sources, the reality star couple became involved in a blowout so vicious, police were eventually called to the scene of the fight before Jeremy was brought to a local hospital in the area.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, an insider explained: "Jeremy and Stephanie had a huge fight last night which ended with him having to get six stitches."

Worsening their already pretty appalling reputation among the public, the couple caused major disruption for fellow guests at the hotel, with the source explaining: "They were both screaming and a number of guests complained as they had small children with them."

According to the insider, the couple's room didn't escape the chaos, saying: "When the hotel's security came to the room the place was trashed."

"Stephanie verbally attacked them too and they eventually had to call the police to calm things down," they added. "Reception staff have described them as the worst guests they've ever had."

Seriously, isn't it time that pair just called it a day?
