Teen asks Daisy Ridley to prom via a (gas) video – and she REPLIES

Ah, the Debs. It is generally hyped up as the biggest night of your life, so it stands to reason you'd want to pick the perfect date.

After deciding that he wouldn't buy a corsage for anyone other than an A-lister, this American high-schooler set about finding a way to get Daisy Ridley to his prom.

Kevin Carlock's heavily Auto-tuned video invite has gone viral in the last week with over 40,000 Youtube hits, and while Daisy sadly won't be attending the prom, she did in fact send a heartfelt apology.

"Thank you so much for that brilliant invite to your formal," she wrote in a note to Kevin via Instagram.

"Unfortunately I'm locked in an intense staring competition with Luke Skywalker, somewhere in the middle of the galaxy, so won't be able to make it!"
