Hold up! Are we actually in for some SUNSHINE this weekend?!

If the recent weather has left you researching accommodation and career paths in foreign climes, we might just be able to pull you back from the brink of despair.

According to Met Éireann, the good people of Ireland may actually be in for some sunshine over the coming days, but before you grab the shades and fire up the barbie, we're still a far cry from a proper summer just yet.

As we head closer to the weekend, we can expect some "mild if not warm" weather with temperatures set to reach 21 degrees in some places –  a welcome change from the baltic temperatures we've been battling through of late, right ladies?

However, there will still be some scattered rain showers across the weekend but they will make way for a dry day on Sunday which is said to bring with it some "spells of hazy sunshine".
