
Gardaí make appeal following cyclist’s collision with pedestrian
Gardaí in the capital are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian in the Phoenix Park last night.
According to reports, the cyclist is currently in a critical condition in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital while the pedestrian is being treated for leg and back injuries in Blanchardstown Hospital.
The incident occurred on a cycle lane between the Aras and Castleknock Gate at the upper portion of Chesterfield Avenue on the way into the city centre at approximately 8.40pm on Monday night.
The cyclist is a man in his fifties while the pedestrian in aged in his thirties.
Gardaí in Cabra have urged anyone who may have any information pertaining to last night's incident to come forward.
