Who you gonna call? The new all-female Ghostbusters OBVIOUSLY

We were already excited that our fave childhood movie was going to be remade but the fact that the reboot features an all female cast of Ghostbusters nearly pushed us over the edge. 

Helmed by the ever capable and hilarious Melissa McCarthy, the new and improved ghost busting pack is completed by Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. 

Up until now, fans have had to make do with some cheekily snapped pics from the set but today we got an official picture. 

Let's just say we can not WAIT until July! 

The team are seen donning their trademark jump suits and proton packs and they look ready to kick some serious supernatural ass. 

And it seems that the director, Paul Feig, is having a ball directing the reboot of the much loved franchise. 

"I love the original film, but I also just love the idea of busting ghosts and kind of paranormal warriors."

He notes that the new film will definitely be quite different from the original films. 

"I’m more interested in what would happen today. You know, you see things on TV about ghosts, but none of it’s real."

"What if, suddenly, something started happening? What happens when that just begins to happen to people? Also, how do they develop their technology?"

"It’s not as fun if they’re just handed their proton packs. It’s why it’s not as fun to do a sequel. The fun is getting there."

Well we are waiting patiently to get there! Bring on the Summer.
