
Watch 10,000 soccer fans do the Viking Clap in perfect unison
The Icelandic football team returned home yesterday, after an incredible performance in the Euro 2016 competition.
The team defied all the odds, managing to beat England and earn a place in the quarter finals of the games, against host country France.

Sadly, their success was short lived, and the Icelanders lost to the French side 5-2.
Despite their loss, the team return home as heroes, and got the whopper welcome they deserved.

Thousands of fans gathered in the capital city of Reykjavik on Monday to welcome their team home.
The scenes were reminiscent of the Irish team's homecoming from the World cup back in 1990, where we also made it to the quarter finals
Social media has since been overrun with videos, pictures and kind words from the event.
The team became famous during the Euro 2016 for their Viking Clap, which can be seen across the internet.
This loud and exciting Viking Clap was performed in Iceland's capital city yesterday, when the team took to the stage upon their return.
Fans of the football team have taken to social media, calling the team "heroes" and that they are "the best team in the world"
The national pride seen here is outstanding for such a small nation.
