Rainbow pizza

Unicorns, mermaids and other mythical creatures were having a major millennial moment.

Thanks to the magical trend, a number of amazing fairytale foodstuffs were invented, from unicorn cake pops to mermaid toast, but this latest discovery takes the biscuit.

NYC eatery Industry Kitchen is responsible for this candy floss-topped rainbow sprinkled frankenfood.

The amazing pizza, known as the Pop Candy Land Pizza, is the stuff on Instagram dreams.

Rather than being a traditional savoury pizza, this sweet treat is more of a confectionary-lovers dish.

The so-called pizza eschews the traditional tomato sauce and mozzarella base in favour of sweet cream cheese sauce and popping candy.

Cosmo food editor Danielle Tullo sought out the mythical pizza, and posted some amazing snaps of it to her social media.

'It's basically a giant sugar cookie covered in fluffy cotton candy," she captioned her Instagram.

Whether for dinner or dessert, we're still dying to get ourselves a slice…

LGBTQ Pride week is almost upon us, and to ring in the ultimate celebration of love, one Dublin venue is pulling out all the stops.

We love love, and we love pizza, and NoLita has just combined the two in a pretty spectacular way.

For one weekend only, NoLita on Georges Street, Dublin, will be creating their classic pizzas, but with a rainbow twist to represent Pride week.

The bar and restaurant have been showing off their brightly tinted pizza dough across social media, and it looks divine.

The marbled rainbow effect of the dye on the dough looks like the pizzas are set to be too pretty to eat.

We can't wait to get a literal slice of the action with these sure-to-be Insta-worthy pizzas.

Are you looking to add a splash of colour to your food, but don't fancy fruit and vegetables?

Well. we suggest you simply add a rainbow of food dye to cheese, and make a rainbow pizza…  because why not?

The lovely Amy, who is the voice behind the Oh Bite It food blog recently made a rainbow pizza recipe, and we had to share it with you all.

Whether or not you're into the idea of coloured melted cheese, you can't deny it looks pretty cool…

What you'll need:

8″ or 10″ pizza pan, sprayed with non stick spray and dusted with cornmeal.

1 container of pre-packaged pizza dough.

1 cup pizza sauce.

Pizza toppings you like.

1 cup grated mozzarella.

5 oz. fresh mozzarella.

1 tsp. pizza seasoning.

2 tbsp. olive oil.

Food colouring (whatever colours you like).

What you'll do:

Roll out the dough, and trim to fit the pan, making sure to leave an edge for the raised crust.

Spread the sauce, and add the toppings.

Then add the grated mozzarella, and a sprinkling of the seasoning.

Apply the fresh mozzarella all over the pizza evenly.

Bake the pizza for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.

Remove from the oven, and add food colouring drop by drop.

Swirl the colour as you go, using a fork.

When you have achieved the colour combination of your dreams, pop the pizza back in the oven for five minutes.

Slice that baby up, and ENJOY!
