As it does every year to mark Queen Elizabeth II's birthday, the Trooping The Colour celebration took place in London recently.

A true spectacle of pomp and ceremony, all the usual royal suspects were there: Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice; 95-years-and-still-going-strong Philip; Charles and Camilla; the loveably rougish Harry, as well as the lesser known likes of Prince Michael of Kent.

But the true shining stars of the big Windsor day out were undoubtedly Wills and Kate and their totes adorbs children Prince George, 3, and one-year-old Princess Charlotte.

However, one individual who isn't as blinded by the Cambridges' gloss as the rest of us is evidently the woman-of-the-hour herself, Queen Elizabeth.

Indeed, the 90-year-old reigning monarch was quick to scold her grandson when she caught him on the doss.

Yes – instead of waving to the gathered masses from their Buckingham Palace balcony, Prince William at one stage opted to hunker down alongside his young son.

Until, that is, granny tapped him on the shoulder and instructed him to stand up.

As for Wills – well, he looks decidedly unimpressed. In fact, we dare say his royal sulk has just about made our day.

The cherry on the top? That would be little George's subtle-but-deadly face-palm…

The world just cannot get enough of the cute mini-Royals, and we have been absolutely spoiled this week.

Not only were the Royal family celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday, but they also welcomed President Obama and the First Lady to town – and it seems Prince George has made the world-famous couple feel right at home!

The little prince has melted hearts around the world this weekend, after photos of him greeting the Obamas in his pyjamas were released online.

Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account shared a series of shots of the cherubic two-year-old shaking hands with President Obama, dressed in blue gingham pyjamas and a white robe and slippers.

One shot showed the prince astride a beautiful rocking horse – a gift previously given to him by the Obamas, apparently.

“Prince George thanks Barack Obama for his rocking horse, given to him when he was born,” explained the caption.

As you can well imagine, the Internet has gone ga-ga for the sweet photos – and it seems the ‘George’ effect is in full swing, with the tot’s cute monogrammed robe, patterned PJs and aeroplane-print slippers selling out in minutes online!

Oh, how we adore these little insights into the Duke and Duchess’ family life.

He might be a prince (and a baby prince, at that) but that doesn't mean he doesn't have to do some work around the castle.

Prince Charles has revealed that he likes to see George do some gardening, and even has him planting trees in their home.

Charles told BBC Radio 4 that the two-year-old has already been digging up a storm:

"The most important thing is I got him planting a tree or two here, so we planted it together and shovelled in the earth.

"I always like gardening – I hate to say this – from a child's point of view. It's a funny thing, because I have such happy memories of bits of garden at my grandmother's house,” said the 67-year-old.

"In Scotland and here [Highgrove] I have tried to design it with what would appeal to a child; it is the paths and the interests.

"I have tried to do that at Dumfries House as well. We have made a maze now up there which is rather fun, and I adored a maze when I was young. You just put yourself in the child's position and sometimes it works."

When we were two-years-old we doubt we even cared about gardening, but Charles sure sounds like he makes the work fun for George. And we'd just love to see that maze!

If you have any sort of #FamilyGoals for the future, take a look at the royal family, because they are all the goals you need.

Kate amd William decided to take their two children on a ski holiday to the French Alps over the weekend – and the pictures are dreamy.

The family are seen having fun in the snow with two-year-old George and ten-month-old Charlotte.

The Duke and Duchess made sure they had their privacy though, as they flew to a secret location last Wednesday during a media blackout to ensure they weren't followed.

Unlike other royal ski trips, the couple decided not ot hold a photo-call but instead went for a singe Press Association photographer to capture a few beautiful moments.

We just can't get over how big George is getting and what a cutie Charlotte is.

If this doesn't get you broody, we don't know what will.

Princess Diana started her career off as a Montessori teacher, and since Prince George enrolled, schooling trends have inadvertently changed for the better.

The interest in Montessori nurseries has soared because of what people are calling, The Prince George Effect. More and more parents are now keen on putting their children to the same education as the future king, the Mirror reports.

The Maria Montessori Institute in London, which runs a Montessori teacher training centre as well as a number of Montessori schools, reveal that they have been bombarded with parents wanting their children to go to a Montessori nursery since it was Kate Middleton's choice of education.

Prince George first started off with a few hours session, and now is enrolled to attend the school for three to four days a week.

Louise Livingston, director of training at the Institute said, "When it was announced, our phones were ringing off the hook with people asking whether we had space in our nurseries. We're still getting lots of calls from parents. Hopefully Charlotte will go there too."

All we're wondering now is what other trends George will spark as he grows older.

He can't stay at home playing with Charlotte forever, y'know.

Two-year-old Prince George of Cambridge entered the big bad world of education today, heading to Norfolk for his first day at nursery school.

True to form, the blond tot looked downright adorable for his big day, donning a navy quilted jacket with a tartan hood which will no doubt sell out in five seconds flat.

The pictures, taken at Westacre Montessori School Nursery this morning, were released via Kensington Palace's Twitter just now.

To celebrate his first outing as a big boy, George also got his very own schoolbag – cool or what?

Just before Christmas, the Royal Family shared their first family snap since Princess Charlotte's Christening back in May – and it's clear to see the two little kids are growing up to be a pair of total cuties.

Just look at them:

Anyone else's ovaries going into overdrive? No, just us then.

Kensington Palace has bestowed all the feels on us today after revealing the official picture that will be used for Kate and Will's Christmas cards.

The adorable snap captures the family very naturally in their own garden with the six-month-old Princess Charlotte in tow.

The photograph was originally intended to be used only for personal reasons but it seems that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge like it so much that they shared it with the world.

And we are delighted that they did.

We reckon this was the only photo they could manage to get of George where he was almost standing still. Meanwhile, Charlotte looks serene and sweet.

The photo, taken at Kensington Palace, marks only the second official photo of the family of four.

The first official photo was taken at Charlotte's christening (and they couldn't even get George to pose then either).

And the gorgeous family have also just revealed that Prince George is due to begin Montessori school at the end of January.

They really do grow up so fast!

We gush about how cute Prince George is, but pictures of Princess Charlotte have just been released – and she is just as ADORABLE as her big brother.

The photos were taken by her amateur photographer mother, Kate Middleton, at Anmer Hall, the family's Norfolk home, in early November.

At first, the photos weren't meant to hit the public but the Duchess of Cambridge was so pleased by both her work and the positive response her last photographs of Prince George and Princess Charlotte received, that she decided to release them as a way of thanking the media for letting her children grow-up out of the spotlight.

The princess, who has blue eyes and brown hair, can be seen sitting unaided in a green checked armchair and in one shot is smiling at a toy puppy. The cutest? We think so.

As George has inherited his father's looks, it's safe to say that Charlotte has taken from Kate's side.

We love Kate Middleton, from her daring royal style, to her fabulous hair, it seems there's nothing the Duchess of Cambridge can't do.

And that proves particularly true as Kate is reportedly starting her own business.

The Duchess is currently weaning Princess Charlotte, and it seemed to have sparked the entrepreneurial spirit inside of her as she is considering starting her own organic baby food line along with her sister, Pippa.

A source told Vanity Fair, "She keeps saying there is a gap in the market for home-grown, organic baby food. It's given Pippa the idea that they should try launching their own line of organics."

According to the source the sisters have been sampling new organic recipes in the kitchen at Anmer Hall, the royal country home, where they grow organic produce.

Pippa has also just finished an food nutrition course and helps Kate make all of Prince George and Princess Charlotte's meals.

Charlotte, who is nearly eight months old, is still eating pureed fruits and vegetables, but The Duchess constantly makes sure it's all homegrown, organic and straight from the gardens at Anmer.

But the sisters aren't only planning on producing baby food. The source told VF that they will make "nourishing ready meals for adults" as well.

She's now a mother-of-two – a prince and a princess – who both arrived within less than two years of one another.

And although little Charlotte is not yet six months' of age, excited news organisations in the US are convinced that royal baby No.3 is ALREADY en route.

Yes, if Stateside rumour is to be believed, Duchess Kate is now pregnant, with the little bundle of regal joy arriving next spring.

The fact that she was seen holding aloft glasses of champagne at the recent royal banquet in Buckingham Palace – not to mention that on the same occasion her bespoke Jenny Packham dress showed no hint of a baby bump – seems to have been disregarded.

Instead, the covers of more than one glossy magazine this week declare that the wife of Prince William is very much expecting.

"It seems Kate Middleton, 33, and Prince William, 33, wasted no time getting back into the swing of things," declares one popular US site.

Meanwhile, Life & Style magazine, which carries the story on its front-page this week, says: “They’re expecting! It happened far quicker than they expected – they’d just started trying for another child. But William and Kate are so excited".

That publication furthermore says: "Friends are saying the baby will arrive around June. They say Kate is at the very beginning of her pregnancy and won’t show any sign of a bump until next year. She still looks extremely slim."

And as far back as early September, Star magazine was also stating that the Duchess was "in the early stages of pregnancy with baby number three". It added that the new addition to the Cambridge family is due "in late April or early May, so she’ll likely be showing by the New Year".

Even earlier in the summer, some US outlets reported absolutely that Kate was eager to have three children by the time she turned 35: as she celebrates her 34th birthday in January, it seemed she was eager to get a move on.

The rumour may all, of course, seem a little far-fetched, but Wills himself did say in the aftermath of Charlotte's arrival that a third Cambridge child was certainly possible.

In an interview to mark his first day as an air ambulance pilot, the prince spoke of family-life. When the interviewer playfully hinted at another baba, the second-in-line to the British throne laughed: "We've only just had the second one!"

Though he then added with a smile, "but you never know what's going to happen in the future."

Only four months ago, Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed Princess Charlotte into their lives. We’ve only just barely managed to pull ourselves together since those adorable photos of Prince George and his little sister crossed our screens.

It’s hard to imagine that the royal couple would be adding to their family again, but that hasn’t stopped the rumours from circulating.

Star Magazine are reporting a source as saying that Kate, 33, is pregnant with her third child.

The outlet is claiming an insider has said “She’s in the early stages of pregnancy with baby number 3.”

This is coming on the heels of Kate not being in attendance at certain royal engagements and a wedding in August.  The magazine reports that: “William put his foot down and decided her heath must not be put at risk. So Kate rested at home and spent her day relaxing and playing with George and Charlotte.”

This is not the first time in recent months that the Duchess of Cambridge has been at the centre of baby rumours.

Earlier this summer, when William’s co-pilot, who bears quite the resemblance to Kate herself, came into the picture certain media outlets were quick to jump on the baby bandwagon.

Reports were saying that Kate was eager to get Gemma out of the picture and that she had apparently mentioned to friends that she wanted to have her third child before turning 35.

There has been nothing to confirm any of this speculation however. So we can only imagine that the royals probably aren’t thrilled with all of those rumours.

This has to be the best "journalistic experiment" we've seen in a VERY long time.

23-year-old journalist Max Knoblauch decided to emulate the world's most adored Royal, Prince George… by copying his outfit choices every day for a week. He chronicled his experience for Mashable, and the results are pretty hilarious.

"Getting his look correct would be a trial, particularly for someone like me who is not a royal or a baby," Matt wrote. "The first challenge would be finding the clothes in a men's large. The second challenge would be not being arrested." Already we're hooked.

First up was the two-toned blue outfit that the toddler wore back in May to meet his little sister, Princess Charlotte, for the first time. Shorts, sweater, knee socks and all.

Does he have the "George Factor" yet?

Another highlight has to be the sailboat overalls that George so beautifully modelled during his trip to New Zealand with Kate and William last year.

And of course, who can forget the white-and-red combo the young Royal sported when he absolutely stole the show at Charlotte's christening?

What a hero.
