Only days after the death of XXXTenacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, the pregnancy was revealed in June of last year. The 20-year-old was shot and killed in Florida in his car.

According to the statement, the name Gekyume was “specifically” chosen by the late musician ”for his first born son”.

The family say the name “means ‘different state’ or ‘next’ universe of thought,” adding that they are “honoured to fulfil his wish”.

A posthumous XXXTentacion record was released last year entitled Skins, and featured prominent artists such as Kanye West.

The rapper had been charged with the aggravated battery of a pregnant victim, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and witness tampering, and was due in court the week after his death.

Security forces in Strasbourg have been deployed in the search for the gunman who killed three people and wounded 13 others at a Christmas market last night.

The man has now been identified as 29-year-old local Cherif Chekatt, and there are concerns that the suspect has escaped into Germany.

The French government has since raised the security alert level to emergency and border controls have been highly reinforced.

The attacker was on a known list of extremists who are consistently watched by police, and local officials have confirmed that he is being actively hunted by security forces.

Among the 13 wounded, eight are seriously injured and three of the killed civilians include three Thai tourists.

One of the tourist has been named as 45-year-old Anupong Suebsamarn by the Thai embassy in Paris.

Gunshots were heard just after 8pm in Place Kleber, the market which attracts millions of tourists every year. Crowds of people were forced to flee for their safety.

Interior Minister Christophe Castaner early today claimed France had raised its security alert level, and President Emmanuel Macron has tweeted his sympathies for the victims of the terrorist attack.

Cherif Chekatt was being investigated over an attempted murder, according to Sky News sources.

Areas situated near the Christmas market were sealed off last night and residents were being told to stay indoors.

The European Parliament, based in Strasbourg, was also on lockdown.

France’s security forces are already on high alert since 2015 after a series of terror attacks, and are especially stretched due to anti-government protests sweeping the country.

British Prime Minister Theresa May has also tweeted her sincerest sympathies;

“Shocked and saddened by the terrible attack in Strasbourg. My thoughts are with all of those affected and with the French people."

Soldiers who were patrolling the area as part of regular anti-terror operations apparently wounded the suspect after opening fire, but police sources have confirmed his escape.

At least 350 policeman and gendarmes are now deployed on the ground to aid in the manhunt.

An investigation has been opened by specialist anti-terror prosecutors into the Strasbourg incident, with updates still to come on the progess.

A boat captain has been killed after being speared by a swordfish in Hawaii.

Randy Llanes had been trying to catch the 18kg, 1.8metre fish with a spear gun, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The 47-year-old experienced seaman was in the water at Honokohau Harbor on the west coast of the Big Island when he spotted the broadbill swordfish.

When the animal was hit with a hunting weapon, it began to thrash about – prompting the fisherman to jump into the water alongside it. However, amid the struggle, it fatally punctured Mr Llanes’s chest.

Another reported suggested that "the fish got wrapped around a mooring anchor, came back and swam at him".

Emergency crews attempted CPR, but the man later died in hospital from the puncture wound.

"Randy has been fishing all his life," his friend explained to local media. "He's a pretty accomplished fisherman. He actually caught a 500lb [226kg] marlin yesterday."

Hawaii supplies much of the rest of the US with swordfish catch. The fish is fast-moving and predatory, often using its long, distinctive bills to attack prey.

Andrew Rossiter, director of the Waikiki Aquarium, told Hawaiian news agency KHON that the carnivore may have been pursuing a school of smaller fish into shallow water or was injured.

Heidi Dewar, a fisheries research biologist with NOAA Fisheries in California, told the National Geographic that reports of swordfish injuring or killing people are incredibly rare. "Normally, you wouldn't see a swordfish swimming around in the harbour," she explained.

"These are open-ocean animals that are more often found over deep water."

Mr Llanes is survived by his wife and two small children.
