Bars and clothes shops – two places you can always be assured of spending ALL that money that you definitely don't have. Rent, what rent?

Well, you can wave goodbye to having a healthy bank balance any time soon, as Brown Thomas are apparently hoping to combine those two financial black holes into one.

The Irish retail giant has applied for a FULL pub licence as part of plans to refurbish its flagship store on Dublin's Grafton Street,

Brown Thomas Dublin's third-floor restaurant already serves wine and champagne to diners, but a full pub licence would mean it could also serve pints, spirits and all kinds of cocktails.

And shots.

And Jagerbombs.

A judge has granted the store a Declaratory Order, meaning that as long as all the refurbishments are carried out in accordance with planning permission, it will indeed be granted a full pub licence.

A rep for Brown Thomas joked that the in-store bar would mean that customers (and their spouses) could "slightly anaesthetise" themselves from the amounts they were spending.

Well, we're hoping it won't come to that, but we certainly wouldn't say no to a Cosmo or two as we browse all the fancy-ass clothes.
