i’m a celebrity get me out of here

If you assumed that Scarlett Moffatt prepared for her stint in the I'm a Celebrity jungle by tending to her tan, nails and eyebrows, you would have been selling the Gogglebox star a little short.

While being interviewed on Capital North East Breakfast, the 26-year-old revealed that because she had been anticipating the horror involved in Bushtucker Trials she decided to get a head of her fellow campers by simulating her own trials at home.

According to the star, she has been "eating really chewy Scotch eggs and pretending they are kangaroo balls".

No, seriously.

And even if she's lucky enough to skip the kangaroo testicles once Down Under, Scarlett still fears the rations of rice and beans she will be provided with due to the effect they have on her intestines.

"I do get a bit windy on a night and you're, like, with people aren't you?" she said. "I'm going to have to be like 'eeee did you hear that!? What's that noise?"

Oh, and if you think our favourite Gogglebox star is planning to showcase her new figure in a Myleene Klass-inspired shower moment, think again.

"My tan will go really streaky. At some point it will look like I have some sort of disease!" Scarlett said. "I think I might just go for dips in the lake, I don't think I'm a shower sort of person."

We can't WAIT to see her in action around the campfire.

Look, by the time the crown has been officially placed on the head of the winner, we generally know all there is to know about each and every I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here contestant.

But we'd be lying if we said we always knew who each 'celebrity' was at first glance.

Thankfully, however, it doesn't look like we're going to have to rely on Google in order to identify this year's contestants because if emerging reports are true, the show's bosses have a total belter lined up this year.

From reality stars to soap stars, we're actually able to identify the vast majority of this year's potential jungle recruits.

Let's take a look…

Carol Voderman

This Maths whizz is switching bodycon for bush tucker trials.

Wayne Bridge

Married to Frankie of The Saturdays fame, Wayne is also known for his prowess on the pitch as a former England football player.

Larry Lamb

This silver fox is best known for his roles on Gavin and Stacey and Eastenders

Jordan Banjo

Jordan rose to fame alongside his older brother Ashley when they won the third season of Britain's Got Talent as part of dance troupe Diversity.

Scarlett Moffatt

Miss Moffatt needs no introduction, but for those of you who don't know , she's only one of the greatest stars to emerge from Channel 4's Gogglebox.

Adam Thomas

Emmerdale star, Adam, is ditching pints in the Woolpack for maggots in the jungle.

Lisa Snowden

This former MTV presenter once dated George Clooney and is now an uber-popular radio presenter.

Ola Jordan

This Strictly Come Dancing star is swapping the dance studio for the wilds of an Australian jungle.

Sam Quek

If winning an Olympic gold medal at Rio this year wasn't enough for Sam, she's now putting herself to the test Down Under.

Danny Baker

OK, you may have to ask your mam on this one, but we remember when he was the Daz Doorstep Challenge guy…

Joel Dommett

If you don't remember him from Skins, you may known him from Live in Chelsea and Impractical Jokers UK.

Yep, we're definitely tuning in…

Tulisa Contostavlos has denied reports which suggest she pulled out of this year’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here days before she was due to fly to Australia.

According to the Daily Star, show sources claimed the singer had a last minute change of heart about appearing in the 16th series of the reality show because she has a fear of insects.

However a rep for the former X Factor judge has since told The Mirror that Tulisa couldn’t have dropped out of the series because she had never agreed to take part to begin with.

Tulisa’s rep said: “This story is complete lies.  Tulisa never signed up for I’m a Celebrity this year.  She never even had a meeting with the show this year.”

The Daily Star suggested that the former N-Dubz singer had been approached on multiple occasions about entering the famous jungle with an offer of £500,000 reportedly being put forward.

The site quoted the 28-year-old’s “epic bug phobia” as a potential reason for her alleged backing out and said Strictly Come Dancing’s Ola Jordan would take Tulisa’s place on I’m a Celebrity this year.

Earlier this week, Charlotte Crosby aggravated fans by jokingly tweeting that she will be appearing on this year’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

The Geordie’s followers were less than impressed to learn that the news was untrue and openly asked Charlotte why she would pull such a peculiar prank.

While the reality star did not answer the puzzling question online, she has since revealed to The Sun that she made the claim to prove a point to I’m a Celeb… producers who she says have banned her from taking part in the show.

“Everyone was so excited so I’m hoping it gave the producers the push to think they should let me on the show,” the former Geordie Shore star told the site.

“My fans were so upset because they want us on.”

“I can’t go on as they won’t have us,” she revealed.  “I’ve been banned because I was on Big Brother and they won’t follow suit…It’s out of my control.”

The 26-year-old also confessed that she will not be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in the near future, despite having a strong desire to do so.

“I would love to do Strictly Come Dancing,” she said.  “I want that to happen so bad.”

“I’m not allowed on that as they don’t think I’m PG enough.  Kids love me though.  I’m gonna try me best to get on that.”

I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is returning to our screens very soon, and we may have our first contestant.

Rumours are spreading that ex-big brother star, Imogen Thomas, will be entering the famed jungle.

The rumour mill began turning when Imogen tweeted her fans, asking for advice with regards to "long haul flights".

Thousands of social media users have drawn the conclusion that Imogen was hinting at her fans that she was headed to the jungle.

The highly anticipated 16th series of I'm A Celebrity is due to start in November on ITV.

The timing is all very convenient…

With Laura Whitmore quitting the show and the impending ban on reality TV competitors, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here seems to be undergoing a major makeover.

And since she’s already claimed the Queen of the Jungle title, Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison is heading back to Oz in search of her next gig.

Fresh from her stint on the Loose Women panel, the reality TV star will be joining comedian Chris Ramsey, EastEnders’ Joe Swash and X Factor’s Stacey Solomon to present the new I’m A Celeb… spin-off show, I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp.

According to The Sun, the new show will replace Laura Whitmore’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here Now!.

A source told the paper that as last year’s winner Vicky was mad to return to the show, but “while she was always the front-runner [for Laura’s job], ITV took their time with the decision”.

I’m A Celeb… will return to screens this November.

We appreciate Peter Andre for bringing Mysterious Girl into our lives and we are also forever grateful that the video for that song exists.

But do you remember this bad boy?

Insania is definitely one of Peter's lesser known songs but many may recognise the nasally "do, do, do's" that seem to repeat for eternity.

Well, it turns out that Peter Andre himself knows that this song is not one of his best.

I'd like to say sorry to the British public for inflicting my song Insania on them. I hope we can all move on from it."

We have to admit that we sort of love Peter for this.

Speaking to the Sunday Times' Style Magazine, Peter hopes that the British public can forgive him the record

Having been out of the spotlight for several years, Peter reappeared on I'm a Celebrity, Get me out of Here in 2002 with his then partner Katie Price.

It was here in the depths of the Australian outback that Peter penned the infamous Insania which would become the lead single from his fourth studio album.

And who can forget the pretty spectacular lyrics.

"Take a look around, At what technology is found, Is is what we need or are we killing the scene."

It may be a pretty poor track, but we are still glad it exists.

It must get fairly stressful to be broadcasting live from the Australian jungle every evening – especially when you're trying to keep a cast of hungry reality stars in check.

Usually, Ant and Dec, the long-time hosts of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! take all the mishaps and glitches in their stride.

But during one particularly tiresome moment earlier this week, Dec couldn't help sound off a bit.

The only problem? His mic was still on, meaning his words were broadcast live to millions of ITV viewers.

Ant and Dec were talking to contestant Vicki Pattison over the phone, but technical difficulties meant she couldn't hear what they were saying.

In the end a member of the production crew in the camp relayed the message to Vicki, telling her to head to the Bush Telegraph with Duncan Bannatyne and George Shelley.

Clearly annoyed at having to deal with the dodgy phone lines live on air, Dec could be heard saying, "Why didn't they just do that in the first place instead of you having to ring her?"

Listen to the awkward moment here from 0:45…

The technical difficulties didn't end there though, as Ferne McCann got cut off during another call just minutes later, while Vicky, George and Duncan struggled to hear Ant and Dec from the Bush Telegraph.

Here's a tip… don't rely on phones when broadcasting live from a rainforest.

Well, that was fast.

The I'm A Celebrity camp is already one member down this evening with the news that Spencer Matthews has quit the show.

Spencer, who's no doubt used to a higher standard of living on Made In Chelsea, is believed to have exited the show this morning after just three days on set.

The MIC partyboy arrived Down Under on Tuesday, entering the competition as a late contestant alongside Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann.

However ITV confirmed this evening that he was a gonner, citing "medical reasons" for his decision to quit.

So soon was his departure from the show that Spencer had yet to even enter the main camp, as he was "banished" to Snake Rock shortly after his arrival.

Having completed his first Bushtucker Trial just yesterday – which involved sticking his head into a perspex box full of bugs – it seems the jungle life got the better of Spencer.

Before entering the house, the 29-year-old swore he wouldn't be quitting the show prematurely and wanted to see it out until the end.

"I’d like to be a finalist. I’d like to be there for the duration," he told The Mirror this week.  "That’s my main aim… I’d like to be one of the last people standing."

Of course, Spence isn't the only reality star to bow out of I'm A Celebrity after just a few days. Last year, TOWIE's Gemma Collins quit three days in, having spent most of her time in the jungle in floods of tears.

Gemma’s brief time in the Celebrity Jungle was characterised by ongoing – and usually totally irrational – fears relating to just about everything from helicopters to malaria.

They both stayed silent about the reason for their split at the time, but three years on Laura Whitmore has opened up about the heartbreak of parting ways with Danny O'Reilly.

Laura split from the Coronas frontman in 2012, and says the break-up was a "massive" shift in her life.

The pain of ending a two-year relationship wasn't helped by the fact that the Bray native was in Australia at the time, working on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

"Break-ups are hard but I couldn’t even go out and get drunk with my girlfriends," she recalls. In the end, Laura's mum flew from Ireland to be with her on set.

Although Laura is still keeping tight-lipped about why things went sour wth her ex, she stresses that ending the relationship was the right thing to do.

"We broke up for a reason. I broke up with him for a reason." she tells The Mirror.

"I went through that massive break-up while I was doing live TV on the other side of the world.

"People could write about it, people could guess about it, and at the end of the day I was just a girl who was really hurt."

Back in May, a reconciliation seemed imminent when Laura and Danny were spotted kissing in London's Primrose Hill Park. But while the couple are definitely not an item these days, the presenter says they do remain on good terms.

"I’m actually good friends with Danny, shockingly. I actually got a text from him today.

"So, for me, there’s no bad feeling."

Back in July, the MTV star was pictured on holidays in Ibiza with Sunset Suns rocker Rory Williams, just weeks after being papped kissing him on a London street.

It's unclear whether the pair are still together, but either way Laura says being in the spotlight certainly doesn't help her with new relationships.

"It’s a bit s**t. You could be on a first date and it is awkward, and I’m a girl who is nervous and thinking, ‘Do I like this boy?, and suddenly everyone gets a picture and they write about it.

"You’re mortified because you’ve just met someone. You’re just a girl at the end of the day."

From 2006 to 2010, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag seemed determined to take over Hollywood.

After their stint on The Hills however, things seemed to fizzle out for the couple.

They did brave the jungle for some interesting I’m A Celeb moments. However, it doesn’t seem like they were inundated with job offers following that particular show.

If you were wondering what the pair may have been up to, or what exactly happened that derailed their rise to superstardom, then have no fear because one fan has made the ultimate documentary.

22-year old Will Rebein is a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology (yes, the same place Lauren Conrad studied) and told Bustle he put the documentary together in two weeks.

He’s been a fan since he was 15, and he got quite artsy and dark while creating the doc apparently.

He explained that influences included the Paris Hilton documentary Paris, Not France and Nip/Tuck. He also made a similar film, I’m Not Crazy about Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes.

Paper magazine tweeted about the doc and also referred to Spencer as a ‘D-list’ star. While some celebs would take offence, Spencer didn’t seem that bothered:

This seemed quite surprising considering at one point Spencer was determined to take the world by storm.

He was however upset that Will never asked for a sit-down interview. He felt that there were some crucial plot points that were under-developed without his first hand commentary:

Will seems to have paid particular attention to Heidi's transformation while her husband attempted to manipulate the media in any way he could. He told Broadly

"Watching all the clips again, I truly realised how much Heidi had changed and had a realisation that people only paid attention to her physical change and not the emotional changes or abuse she went through."

Rumour has it that Caitlyn Jenner could be heading for our screens as she might be one of the contestants for the next installment of I'm a celebrity… Get me out of here!

The American reality TV star came third in the American version of the show in 2003 and the UK bosses are reportedly desperate to sign Caitlyn for the next series.

The father of six caused a stir in the media following her Vanity Fair cover shoot and it is reported that producers are willing to 'break the bank' in order to get her on the show.

An insider told The Daily Star newspaper: "We think Cait will be must-see viewing in the Aussie bush. Plus we’d get some Kardashian gossip too."

The 65-year-old now has her own show on E! which premieres at the end of this month called "I am Cait".

Caitlyn already has some experience in the jungle following her time on the American version of the show in which she came third.
