Festival season is just around the corner, and kicking it all off is Bulmer's Forbidden Fruit Festival on the June Bank Holiday weekend.

The festival already boasts five stages of music, comedy and spoken word, but now the festival has announced a brand new addition to the line-up.

Bulmers have added a sixth stage to this year’s Forbidden Fruit Festival to support  the diverse range of immensely talented, emerging Irish artists.

The new One Hundred Percent Irish Artists Live Stage is set to become an annual feature at Forbidden Fruit, and will play host to 19 artists over the three days.

Rusangano Family, Talos, Tara Lee, Ryan Vail, Soule,   Le Boom,  Bad Bones, LAOISE, Ships, The Innocent Bystander,  Wastefellow, Barq, Ocho,  Super Silly, Mango, Aik J, Heroes in Hiding, Handsome Paddy and Tara Stewart will all be playing live at the new venue.

'We’ve been involved with Forbidden Fruit from the very start and each year we try to bring something new to the festival that is inherently Bulmers in nature.  For Bulmers, being Irish is a badge of honour, so we really wanted to do something that would support and showcase up-coming Irish talent with a bit of edge,' said Bulmers' Belinda Kelly.

Many of these artists will be already well known on the music scene but will not have had an opportunity to perform at a festival the size of Forbidden Fruit.  We’re just giving them a new platform and a means to reach new audiences, and we are really excited at the prospect of enjoying 19 new festival acts over the Bank Holiday weekend.”

Three-day passes for rhe festival are still available, and cost €145.50 from Ticketmaster.

Yay! One of our favourite Irish festivals has confirmed its comeback for 2017.

Bulmers Forbidden Fruit Festival will take place on the June bank holiday of next year – which is June 3, 4 and 5.

And if you had a blast last year and want to make sure you'll be heading along in six months time, tickets are on sale on Ticketmaster already.

Early bird prices start at €99.50 for a two day weekend ticket (Saturday and Sunday) and €145.50 for a three day ticket (Saturday to Monday).

Acts are said to be announced pretty soon, but if last year is anything to go by, we'd be snapping up those tickets straight away.

If you were at Forbidden Fruit over the weekend, you might have been rubbing shoulders with some of Ireland's biggest stars.

Bono decided to attend the Bulmer's music festival and was seen watching Tame Impala take to the stage.

This comes just a week after the U2 star made an impromptu appearance at Bruce Springsteen.

But Bono wasn't the only famous face. Nope, our very own Conor McGregor was there too – and he was celebrating some good news.

Conor was seen raving among festival goers, just hours after his fight with Nate Diaz was confirmed for August 20.

Of course, when he was seen he was mobbed by fans, but the UFC champ didn't seem to mind, basking it all up in the sunshine.

As you may have heard, Forbidden Fruit is a music and arts festival which is taking place in Dublin this bank holiday weekend. It's happening in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in the heart of Dublin this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Here's why we think this is the place to spend your bank holiday weekend:

1. The Music

Ok this one might be a bit obvious, but it has to be said that Forbidden Fruit is offering a huge variety of music which caters for all tastes this weekend.

Friday night sees Fatboy Slim take to the stage for what promises to be a serious party. Fatboy slim rocked the main stage at Electric Picnic in 2013 and festival goers are eagerly anticipating his return.

Hip Hop fans will be happy to hear Wu Tang Clan will be joining the Saturday night line-up following Joey Bada$$ on the main stage.

Electronic music takes over the main stage on Sunday with Cyril Hahn being the main act of the evening.

Here's a full break down of the stage times for each day:

2. The comedy

Forbidden Fruit is also well known for it's variety of comedy gigs over the weekend. Ranging from unknown comedians to household names, there really is something for everyone.

If you want to take a break from the music, why not go for a laugh at 18:50 on Saturday night as David McSavage takes to the comedy tent.

The Forbidden Fruit talent search final takes place tonight in the Button Factory and is €5 on the door. They have gone from fifty two contestants to twelve finalists, one of which will perform on the comedy stage at 16:50 on Saturday.

3. The Bulmers bus

As if the location wasn't good enough, Forbidden Fruit are running a FREE Bulmers bus from Dame street so you don't have to make the walk. Starting at 4pm Friday and 2pm Saturday & Sunday, Forbidden Fruit want you to start your weekend in style!

4. The after party

The folks at Forbidden Fruit have informed us that the part doesn't stop once the lights go down in Kilmainham, the Forbidden Fruit nights begin!

A host of different acts will be taking to several different locations around Dublin city each night once the festival ends.

The venues for Friday night include the Button Factory, The Grand Social and a surprise guest in Hanger.

Very exciting news for any Groove Armada fans, as they are playing Pygmalion on Saturday night after playing the festival that day.

Pygmalion also welcomes Booka Shade on Sunday while Adam Beyer and Matador will be hitting Hanger.

These tickets are all on sale now and are selling fast!

5. The fashion

Here at Shemazing!, our favourite thing about festival season is always the fashion! Whether it's celebrities or just one of your friends, there's nothing better than a good festival outfit post on Instagram!

Here's some outfit inspo for heading to Forbidden Fruit this weekend.

This blouse is €6 and the shorts are €15 and are both from Penneys. Weather permitting, this would be an ideal festival outfit!

If you can make your way through the weekend without wellies, then you NEED these lace up high leg sandals. They are €45 and from New Look. They are also available in tan.

A rain-coat is a must at any Irish festival, which means your fab festival attire is covered up! But not with this clear hooded mac, you can still show off your outfit while staying dry. It's €30 and available in New Look.

Tickets from Forbidden Fruit are still available on their website.
