Brian Dowling is getting broody and has admitted to his desire to start a family.

The TV presenter opened up about having kids, and said his BFF Pippa O Connor could be the perfect surrogate.

"I'm like, 'Pippa, once you drop this one, do you want to go again?'. Baby Ollie is just gorgeous and she's beautiful – and a nice person as well – and has a really good work ethic. She's so fabulous," he told the Diary.

Brian and his husband Arthur Gourounlian, who got married in the summer of last year, said they still have a lot to figure out, though.

"I'm quite pro the surrogacy thing, and Arthur's quite pro the adoption thing, so it's about deciding what works," Brian revealed.

Whichever way the handsome pair choose, we're sure they'll make great parents.

Today's the big day for Irish TV presenter Brian Dowling, who is set to marry his long term partner Arthur Gourounlian this afternoon.

The Big Brother winner, who has slimmed down hugely ahead of the big day, has been posting several wedding updates via Instagram over the last few days, but he kept quiet about the actual date until revealing it late last night.

"Sssshhhh! I'm getting married in the morning," he wrote shortly after midnight, posting a sweet Instagram picture of himself and three of his bridesmaids. Among Brian's group of bridesmaids are his sister Aoife and former BB housemate Narinder Kaur.

Brian and Armenian choreographer Arthur will tie the knot in Powerscourt, Co. Wicklow later today, with Pippa O'Connor, Kimberly Walsh, Louis Walsh, Tess Daly and Vernon Kay among the rumoured celebrity guests.

The couple legally wed in the UK earlier this year, but following Ireland's Marriage Equality referendum in May, they are now able to tie the knot in Brian's home country too. "We did it in London as we didn’t know how the law would go in Ireland. We wanted to make sure we got it right," Brian told The Sun recently.

Since returning from his stag do on the Greek island of Mykonos last month, the last few weeks have been full of wedding prep for the presenter, who popped into The Grooming Rooms on South William Street in Dublin yesterday for some serious pampering.

Never one to let something small like a wedding get in the way of his daily routine, the TV personality was up bright and early this morning getting a workout in at Powerscourt Hotel before the ceremony.

The one and only Brian Dowling is about to get hitched, or so his Instagram post would suggest.

The former Big Brother star posted a workout snap where he referred to himself as “the groom to be” and said that the “count down is on.”

“The groom to be and my Chief Bridesmaid @aoife_dowling_x_ working it as the count down is on. Thank u@suzypurnell for nearly killing us!#wedding#Tomford #Alexperry #letsgo.”

We couldn’t be happier for him and his fiancé!

The couple have been together for over three years and Brian recently went on a stag, or “sten” as he called it, to the Greek island of Mykonos.

In an interview with Evoke last year, the 37-year-old revealed the type of wedding that he and his boyfriend would most likely have

“It would be very low-key – we’d legally get married in the UK and then have the circus – the big party – in Ireland.”

Thankfully so much has happened since the interview and with the referendum passing in the interim we think that this is going to be one hell of an Irish wedding!

Vlogger Zoella, otherwise known as Zoe Sugg, is rumoured to be the new host of the Xtra Factor.

The YouTube sensation is apparently being scouted as a presenter in order to attract a younger crowd to the talent show.

A source told The Sun today: ''Simon wants ideas that are different and is really thinking outside the box when it comes to shaking up the show.''

Last year, the Xtra Factor was hosted by Sarah-Jane Crawford, but she only lasted one season.

It is reported that she has left the show due to a clash in scheduling but it seems she will still be tuning in: "Wishing the new team the best of luck," she said on Twitter earlier this month. "I can't wait to watch you all."

Also rumoured to be in the running for the job is Big Brother star and Co. Kildare-native Brian Dowling. According to sources, Brian has been interviewed already for the position and is eager to make a return to television.

Meanwhile, Zoella has a following of more than 8m on social media and Simon is hopeful that she would draw a huge audience to the programme, which is now in its 11th year.

Apparently the millionaire music mogul has already met with the young star and ''he is keen to hear how she developed such a huge online following with young people''.
