Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner managed to escape the press for almost a week by taking a joint holiday in the Bahamas as soon as their divorce announcement went public. Now though, they are back to reality, and the first post-split pictures have emerged.

After the long-planned trip, Ben returned briefly to Los Angeles at the weekend, while Jennifer flew onward to Atlanta with the former couple's three children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. Batman star Ben was pictured walking in his home neighbourhood of Brentwood on Saturday, and onlookers say there was no sign of a wedding ring.

The father of three yesterday flew out to Atlanta to take care of the kids while his estranged wife continued work on her upcoming movie Miracles From Heaven. He was again pictured with no ring on as he boarded a private jet to fly cross-country.

As for Jennifer, she did not seem quite as ready to let go of the past, as she was snapped on Monday with her silver wedding ring still on prominent display. The actress wore a short denim dress and sandals as walked on the set of her new film.

While the couple will have a lot to discuss as they work on splitting their assets and figuring out custody issues, so far they seem to be making a solid effort to remain amicable. Ben is even set to remain living on his and Jen's California property, albeit in a different area of the grounds to Jennifer and the kids.

We hope the pair continue to stay on such good terms in the coming months.

It’s been a difficult week for Ben Affleck.

Since announcing to the world that he and wife Jennifer Garner have made the “difficult decision to divorce”, the rumours have been flying about possible reasons for their split.

With some rumours even circulating that another woman was the cause of the split, the latest news does confirm that there is another woman in Ben’s life at the moment.

It’s not what you might think though.

No mystery girlfriends to be found in Ben’s life as of right now apparently. Rather, the 42-year old actor has been “really leaning on his mother for support”, an insider tells People magazine.

Similar to when Ben went through his highly publicised split from Jennifer Lopez, the Batman vs Superman star has turned to his mother for support.

An insider close to the couple has revealed that “she is a constant rock for him.” While Jennifer is also “turning to her family and friends,” the main support system for Ben appears to be his mom.

Ben had been spending lots of time with Christine, his mom, while Jennifer, 43, was in Montreal shooting her new film Nine Lives.

The couple’s children Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, are also said to have been spending plenty of time with their dad and their grandmother since the couple announced their impending divorce.

Currently the pair are in the Bahamas to spend time together with their children. According to a source in Us Weekly, the Bahamas is “a place they've been going to for years that's very private and special for their kids.”

After their divorce announcement earlier this week, it was reported that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner would remain living on the same property, but that's not all they're doing together.

Ben and Jen promised they would remain united for the sake of their three children and they seem to be going out of their way to do just that. E! News confirmed last night that the whole family is currently on holidays together in the Bahamas.

The couple are keen to work together to co-parent their children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.

This holiday was probably a long time planned and seems like the perfect getaway for the family as the news of the divorce dominates headlines this week.

A source told Us Weekly that Ben and Jen were waiting until the end of the school year before making their big announcement. "They got the kids out of L.A. as soon as school was out," the source tells Us. "[The Bahamas] is a place they’ve been going to for years that’s very private and special for their kids. When either of them have had work commitments they have been leaving to go fulfill them."

The couple announced their divorce on Tuesday after ten years of marriage and a source close to the pair told E! News that they have been separated for about 10 months.

This pattern of dropping the news bombshell then jetting off is one we have definitely seen before. Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow similarly headed off on holidays immediately after releasing a statement about their divorce in 2014.

The world was left devastated earlier this week when Hollywood's golden couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced they were divorcing after ten years of marriage.

Ben and Jen have three kids together and although they seem to be making every effort to keep their divorce proceedings as amicable as possible, there have been a number of rumours that things came to a messier end than the couple have been letting on.

A new report suggests Ben's increased interaction with a his ex J-Lo was one of the main reasons behind his marriage breakdown, after the former couple hit it off again at the Academy Awards back in February.

Ben and J-Lo (the original "Bennifer") had a long-term relationship in the early 00s and were even engaged, before calling the whole thing off in early 2004. Apparently though, they have been in contact on the regular over the last five months, something we doubt Jennifer Garner was too happy with.

"Everyone is talking about J.Lo and Ben and saying it's inevitable they will get together again at some point," a source told The Sun's Dan Wootton. "'They were pretty flirty sat the Oscars and have stayed in touch via email. Jennifer Garner never liked it."

While Ben is a single man once again and could potentially rekindle the old flame if he wanted too, the fact that J-Lo is currently thought to be back together with her boyfriend Casper Smart might put a spanner in the works. The singer was spotted out walking her dog with Casper earlier this week, looking like Ben's announcement was the furthest thing from her mind.

To be honest, we're not sure the world could handle it if Bennifer did reunite… we left that relationship back in 2004 with hair mascara, body glitter, parachute pants and other things we'd rather forget.

After weeks of speculation, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner sadly confirmed last night that they were splitting up after ten years of marriage.

The pair, who were always considered one of Hollywood's strongest couples, told the media that they had made the "difficult decision" to divorce.

With three children together and a multi-million dollar estate to divide up, Ben and Jennifer definitely have a long and complicated road ahead, but by the sounds of it they are working hard to keep things extremely amicable.

So much so, in fact, that they won't even be living apart. The pair apparently both plan to remain on their €14 million property in Brentwood, Los Angeles, though it's thought they will live in separate areas of the acre-wide estate. Given that the property includes a 9,900 square foot mansion as well as pool house, the former couple won't be stuck for space.

Ben and Jennifer are reportedly keen to remain living close together so that they can work to co-parent their children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. "They don’t want it to be contentious," a source told Us Weekly.

"A lot of people say that but they are doing things to ensure that it won’t be. There is a lot of love there but, they are doing what is best for everybody."

When it comes to finances, many had speculated that the reason the couple chose to announce their divorce just one day after their ten-year anniversary was to ensure Jennifer was legally entitled to spousal support from Ben, as per California law, but according to TMZ the last thing Jennifer needs is her husband's money.

While Ben has made profits from his many independent movies in recent years, Jennifer's run on Alias made her "a massive amount of money" and so the couple are fairly equal in terms of finances, a source told the gossip site.

Following months of rumour, this evening it has been confirmed that Ben Affleck, 42, and Jennifer Garner, 43, are indeed ending their decade-long marriage.

Sadly, the couple's ten-year wedding anniversary fell yesterday: they married privately in Turks and Caicos on June 29, 2005 with only one witness present.

At the time, Jennifer was two months pregnant with the couple's first child, Violet, who was born later that year.

They are also parents to Sera, six, and three-year-old Sam.

TMZ reports that the actors are still working out the particulars of their separation with the assistance of a mediator. Together worth in the region of €90m, they are also in discussions with their various business managers about how to best divide their assets.

And although the announcement may seem strange so soon after their milestone anniversary, it is believed that the timing was in fact significant: under California law, spousal support becomes more generous if the couple has been together for ten years or longer.

Their divorce will be filed when all of their property and custody issues are resolved. However, the split is believed to be amicable and Ben and Jen will share joint custody of their three children.

A statement from the couple this evening reads: "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.

"We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."

The two met during the filming of their 2003 film Daredevil and began dating shortly afterwards.

In recent months, Mr Affleck has been spotted on several occasions unwinding in Las Vegas casinos. He was also away filming – and reportedly not wearing his wedding ring – on Ms Garner's 43rd birthday in April.

But for their children they have certainly put on a united front: just two weeks ago the family was pictured smiling and laughing together on a trip to a farmer's market in Los Angeles.

Often shunning the limelight, both actors have previously spoken of the support their spouse offers them.

Jennifer told InStyle magazine in 2013: "We both know we couldn't do what we do without each other. He has been amazing at finding ways of telling me how much he appreciates what I do.

"Honestly, I would do anything for that man, because I know it's not to be taken for granted.”

And in the same year, Ben in an interview with Playboy said of his wife: "Getting to know her, falling in love with her and being connected with her gave me a foundation to reach out and say, 'Okay, I'm going to do Hollywoodland; I'm going to direct Gone Baby Gone.'"

It seems that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are determined to put on a brave face as they weather the storm of divorce rumours.

Reports have been circulating about the Hollywood couple’s seemingly imminent split in recent weeks. Ben had reportedly even gone as far as beginning talks with divorce attorneys.

But thankfully it looks as if the couple are going to give their marriage another go. Sources close to the pair have revealed that they are planning on spending time together as a family this summer.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the source said that Ben and Jen’s relationship is “fine”. The couple must be trying to deflect the separation rumours as they were seen out together with their kids over the weekend.

The Gone Girl star and 43-year-old Jennifer have three children together: Violet; nine; Seraphina; six; and Samuel; three. The couple met in 2003, and despite both being in relationships at the time (Jen was married and Ben was engaged to Jlo), they married two years later, in 2005.

Let's hope that they avoid a messy €140million divorce that would entail difficult custody battles.  We're all praying that our favourite Hollywood couple instead just work it out.

Earlier this week rumours began circulating that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were headed for divorce, and it seems the news could indeed be true.

Ben has reportedly already begun the process of finding a divorce lawyer, the first step in officially ending his ten-year marriage.

The actor and his team "have definitely been engaging divorce attorneys," a new source informed Radar Online.

"He’s positioning for a divorce. Right now, it’s just coming up with a strategy and whether or not it makes sense for Ben to do it quietly and jointly so there is no battle, or to do it on his own."

Speculation around the couple's marriage issues might be mounting, but they made a show of unity yesterday when they stepped out to get lunch together in Los Angeles before picking up their children, 10-year-old Violet, six-year-old Seraphina and three-year-old Samuel.

This is not the first time that Ben and Jennifer's relationship has been rocked by rumours of a split. Back in 2013, Ben stirred some controversy when he referred to his marriage as "work" during his Oscars acceptance speech.

"I want to thank you for working on our marriage for ten Christmases. It's good," the actor said. "It is work, but the best kind of work, and there's no one I'd rather work with."

If the couple really do plan to get a divorce, it could be a very drawn-out process, as they will not only have to decide how to share their multi-million dollar estate, but also how to divide custody of their three children.

While we hope the news isn't true, we know Ben and Jennifer will be acting with their family's best interests at heart.

Rumours have been circulating that one of our favourite Hollywood couples may be headed for divorce.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner married in 2005 after less than a year of dating and have three children together, Violet; nine; Seraphina; six; and Samuel; three. It has been reported that they could be looking at a €140million divorce.

The website suggests that Ben wants to announce the split just ahead of their ten-year anniversary in a few weeks’ time.

The Gone Girl star reportedly wants to break the news to fans ahead of the release of his eagerly anticipated film, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Sources say he wants the gossip mills to cool down before they begin promoting the film.

Rumours of a split have begun after the couple, who met on the set of Daredevil in 2003, hadn’t been seen together for more than a month.

A friend of Jen’s told OK! “often, when Ben and Jen have a problem, they just agree to ride it out and be miserable together until they can get some time apart.”

“Jennifer has close friends who think that she and Ben are a horrible fit, despite how much he loves being a father to those kids.”

Another factor in the breakdown of their relationship is said to be Ben’s gambling habits.

The Argo star was banned from playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas in May 2014. An insider told OK! that it has been a constant source of aggravation in their marriage.

When the couple met in 2003 Jennifer was married to actor Scott Foley and Ben was engaged to Jennifer Lopez. Garner and Foley split two months later while Ben and Jlo called it quits a year later. Ben and the future Mrs.

Affleck started dating in 2004 and married less than a year later in 2005, when Jen was pregnant with their first child, Violet.

When he's not starring in thrillers like Gone Girl, he's discussing politics!

Ben Affleck was involved in a very heated debate about Islam with Bill Maher.

Ben calls Maher’s views on the religion into question, saying: “The people who actually believe that you should murder someone if you dishonour the Islamic faith is not with the majority of Muslims at all.”

The actor doesn’t back down and even becomes quite frustrated and shocked as the others voice their opinion.

Ben Affleck is a brave man! Not only was he willing to put his manhood on show for a new film, but he chose to do it for the biggest films of the year.

The actor revealed that he got totally full frontal during one blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene in Gone Girl, which hits cinemas tomorrow.

"There is some very brief nudity…This is a warts and all movie," he explained in an interview.

"It can have no vanity. You have to see the naked underbelly of this character."

And, in case you were under any illusion about what to expect, Ben pretty much spelled things out. "The penis is in there!" he said during the chat.

"It costs extra. It's IMAX penis! You've gotta pay fifteen bucks to see it in 3-D," he joked. "It looks better in 3-D."

Of course, if you think Ben's looking a little bit… petite… there' s a reason for that. "It was a very cold set. It was freezing. It was subzero," said the actor. Suuuure!

With two Academy Awards to his name, it’s safe to say that Ben Affleck is an extremely talented guy….just not at singing!

The new Batman appeared on The Tonight Show when he was asked by host Jimmy Fallon if his three children were impressed by his latest role as the caped crusader.

Ben responded hilariously by admitting that Violet, Seraphina and Samuel couldn’t care less about his big news, admitting: “If I was doing the sequel to Frozen I would be a hero!”

He then proceeded to give a short but awful rendition of the movie’s famous soundtrack. Skip to 1:38 in the video to watch his hilarious attempt.

Never stop making movies, Ben!
