Love Island star Amy Hart has slammed BBC Radio 1 for "trivialising" her heartbreak after it mentioned a potential new prank involving Curtis Pritchard.

The ex-Islander was dumped emotionally by the professional dancer on the show, following which she left the villa.

Radio 1's Chris Stark posted in a now-deleted tweet;  "Would you like the chance to be dumped by Curtis from Love Island? We've had an idea for the show where we can offer you a fake dumping."

Stark added; "Keen to do a few of these with loads of you. So if you'd like to know what it's like to be dumped by Curtis message me back now…"

Amy posted a screenshot of the post on her own Instagram Stories, writing: "One of the replies was 'it's going to be funny, get him to email in'. I thought we were being conscious of mental health these days?"

She added: "I'm all for a laugh but I just feel that trivialising something that so many people resonated with and turning it into a laughing matter isn't entertainment."

Radio 1 has since told Digital Spy in a statement: "We will have Curtis as a guest on the show and with any live radio, ideas and plans change and this feature isn't something we'll be doing."

Amy reunited with Curtis and Maura Higgins on Love Island's Aftersun Reunion last weekend, and it was mighty uncomfortable to watch.

The former air hostess has been a huge success story since leaving the villa, with audiences praising her for promoting positive mental health practice.

It's the end of an era after Nick Grimshaw announced his departure from the BBC Radio 1 breakfast show, after hosting it for six years.

The news comes just two weeks after listener figures showed the show had recorded its second lowest audience since records began.

Nick, who took over from Chris Moyles in 2012, said he's decided "it’s time for a change and a new show."

“I’m very grateful that I got to live my dream every day for what will be nearly six years, But six years is a long time and this isn’t a forever job. I had the time of my life.”

However, it's not all bad news. The 33-year-old will be swapping shows with Greg James – the current Radio 1 drive time presenter.

Appearing on the programme, Greg admitted he was nervous about revealing himself as the new presenter.

“I did not sleep one hour last night just thinking about it… it’s too much.”

Ben Cooper, controller of Radio 1, 1Xtra and Asian Network, said: “Greg gets his childhood dream, Grimmy gets a lie-in and the Radio 1 audience gets two exciting new shows with the biggest and most popular youth presenters in the country.

“I’m so proud that Radio 1 produces and nurtures the best talent in the industry – I gave Greg his first show when he joined us from student radio and now he’s getting the most famous radio gig in the world – it’s going to be fantastic. Grimmy’s done a brilliant job reinventing the feel and tone of the breakfast show by connecting with new audiences in new ways in the digital age.”

While no one ever knows what Kanye West’s next move will be, we have to admit his recent confession about wishing to collaborate with IKEA did come as a bit of a surprise.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1 earlier this week, the Yeezy creator expressed his desire to design furniture for the Scandinavian retailer when he told Annie Mac: “I have to work with IKEA – make furniture for interior design, for architecture.”

The controversial rapper explained how he thinks students in particular would love for him to design “a minimalist apartment inside of a college dorm” – even though student housing already tends to be pretty minimalist.

“Yo Ikea, allow Kanye to create, allow him to make this thing because you know what, I want a bed that he makes, I want a chair that he makes,” he said.

But unfortunately for Kanye, IKEA doesn't seem to be interested in joining forces with him right now.

A spokesperson for the brand told CNBC: “At IKEA we are constantly curious about different people, companies, artists and events around the world. To have these connections and inspiring meetings is an important way for us to find new ways to create a better everyday life for the many people.”

“Although we are really flattered by Kanye West's high interest in IKEA and the speculation around a joint venture, we have no plans to collaborate at this point in time.”

So it looks like flatpacking Ye's genius will just have to wait.

And baby makes four!

TV presenter Fearne Cotton became a mum for the second time today, and she and her husband Jesse James Wood couldn't wait any longer to share the news.

Fearne gave birth to a baby girl this morning and welcomed her new arrival to the world via Twitter just hours later.

"Jesse and I are over the moon and buzzing with love, as our baby daughter Honey Krissy Wood came into the world this morning," the Radio 1 presenter wrote on her personal Twitter account.

Jesse soon retweeted the message, writing "Woohoo!" alongside a series of baby and heart emojis.

Honey Krissy will be a little sister to Rex, the couple's two-year-old son. Jesse also has two other children from a previous relationship, and was keen to involve them in the whole process too.

In fact, Rex and his older siblings even helped Fearne and Jesse to choose the new baby's name.

"My little boy Rex and his older brother and sister Arthur and Lola are so excited, they've all already come up with about a million names for the baby… So in the Wood household we're all happy, and really, really good," Fearne revealed after announcing her pregnancy back in February.

Honey's middle name is a tribute to Jesse's mum Krissy Findlay, who sadly passed away in 2005.

Shortly after confirming she was expecting a second child, Fearne announced she would be leaving her post as presenter on BBC Radio 1 to focus on new projects.

"It's been a huge decision and I'll miss being here so, so much. But I've been here 10 years, so it's time for a new chapter," she said at the time.

"I'm feeling very lucky, blessed, and slightly sick still, but aside from that I'm feeling really, really brilliant and really, really happy."

Little Rex and Honey will be pleased to know that Fearne's already signed on to voice the Teletubbies revival which is scheduled to air later this year on CBeebies. Definitely something her two kiddies can get on board with…

Irish group Kodaline proved they can sing just about anything and make it sound soulful when they performed on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge yesterday with Fearne Cotton.

The All I Want hitmakers recorded an incredible mash-up that included Ed Sheeran's Sing, Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk and Taylor Swift's Shake It Off, as well as their own song Coming Up For Air.

Have a listen – we can guarantee this will improve your rainy Wednesday by about 200 percent.
