Rihanna has appealed to fans to help find missing dancer Shirlene Quigley, who was last seen boarding a Manhattan-bound bus in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Work singer took to Instagram last night to issue an emotional plea which refers to the 32-year-old New Jersey-based woman as a “beautiful soul” and features a video of the dancer promoting kindness.

Alongside the video, Rihanna – who has worked with the dancer on numerous occasions – wrote: “This beautiful soul, and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!!!  My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her!”

“If anyone has seen or has any information on @shirlenequigley’s whereabouts…..PLEASE CONTACT the North Bergen Police Department 201 392 2100!!!!”

In addition to Rihanna, Shirlene has worked with Beyoncé, Missy Elliot and Jamie Foxx.

While she was last seen boarding a bus at Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City, it is unclear as to where exactly she was going.

According to NBC, Shirlene’s phone was found in a Chelsea bridal shop.

Her father – who is based in California – believes she could have been in the shop collecting something for a show as she was deeply religious, celibate and is not believed to have been in a relationship.

Before her disappearance, the dance teacher was described as acting in a “euphoric” manner.

This is me…a woman … I am strong, fearless, full of freedom, joy and hope, God is my Father, and I smile because I am free!!!!!!! I look at my past, present and future, and my heart smiles with joy and laughter…I have a life better then I could have ever imagined….I have the life GOD has given me…And I must say… It's such a beautiful life…God has given me family all around the world, I get to dance the dream, and continue living a limitless life… The moment I gave my life to God… I truly started LIVING!!!! A newly-engaged woman has been left devastated – losing her engagement ring just hours after her boyfriend gave her a dream proposal in Dublin.

The bride-to-be travelled from Northern Ireland to the city for a weekend mini-break on Friday.

“He totally surprised me,” the woman told SHEmazing! this afternoon. “We were staying at the Shelbourne – then on Saturday morning he asked me to marry him.

“He whisked me straight off to Grafton Street and there we visited a few different jewellers – being offered glasses of champagne on arrival.

“It was just an amazing experience – a whirlwind.”

Sadly, however, her delight could only last a few hours.

“We had dinner in The Shelbourne and then decided to get a drink on Baggot Street.

“We were in O’Donoghues – and I know I had my ring leaving – and then decided to go on to the No.5 Vinoteca bar.

“Either I lost it there, or I lost it en route back to the Shelbourne.”

Only bought that morning, the ring had yet to be resized and was loose. Understandably, she is now devastated that she never even got the opportunity to bring her ring home to show it to friends and family.

Describing why she chose that particular piece, she said: “I just like that it was a bit unusual looking – there was a real vintage feel to it and the particular cut jumped out at me as soon as I saw it.”

She’s already informed gardaí of the loss and is now desperately appealing for anyone who might have found the ring to come forward.

“Vinoteca have been really good – they looked high and low for me but nothing. I’m hanging on to blind hope now and just trying to get the word out.”

He may have been given a five year sentence following a sensational trial last year, but this evening convicted killer Oscar Pistorius has been permitted to pack up his belongings and leave his prison cell.

Spending just 11 months inside, he departed from the Pretoria Central Prison a day earlier than planned in order to thwart waiting media.

He has now made his way to his uncle's house, where he will spend time under house arrest.

The former Olympian killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his upmarket Pretoria home in February 2013. He was charged with murder but ultimately convicted of culpable homicide – which is largely akin to manslaughter.

Pistorius was due to be released two months ago, but international outcry at the brevity of his jail-time encouraged South African officials to intervene at the 11th hour.

Furthermore, with an appeal currently lodged with the Supreme Court, the 28-year-old will find out on November 3 if his sentence will be upgraded to that of murder – a conviction which would see him return to prison for at least 15 years.

Cape Town native Ms Steenkamp was 29 when her boyfriend shot her dead. He has always claimed he believed her to be an intruder.

A model and reality TV star, she also studied law at university and hoped to practise once she was called to the bar.

Her relatives have said they believe Pistorius is "getting off lightly" and that the time he served is "not enough for taking a life".

A family from Carrickmacross in Monaghan are appealing for the return of a laptop that was stolen from a car in Bayside, Dublin, between 3:40pm and 3:50pm yesterday. However, it isn’t the laptop that the family care about, but what was with it.

The computer bag also contained a red hard-drive full of images of Hannah Smyth and her husband’s twin boys, Laughlin and Ethan, who passed away almost a year ago on December 5th and 11th, respectively.

There are precious family photos that the Smyth family would love to be returned, especially ones of the twins with their older brother Cooper, who is now two-years-old. As the two boys were unwell in the NICU, little Cooper was allowed in to take a photo with his brothers, and his mum explained to Ray D'Arcy this morning about the importance of being able to show Cooper his brothers when he is older.

Hannah spoke a little about the the hard-drive's physical appearance and the importance of its return on Today FM earlier this morning: “It’s called a MyPassport and it’s a rectangle, about 4×3 inches … tomorrow is Laughlin’s first anniversary."

Police have been informed, but Ray urged those in the Sutton area to keep their eyes open for the hard-drive, as it would mean so much to the family to get the images of their precious sons back. Let's hope the public can pull together and find it for the Smyth family before Christmas.
