The Feminist Film Festival will take place in the New Theatre, 43 Essex Street in Templebar on August 30th and 31st.
The aim of the festival is to counteract the lack of women in film, aswell as their misrepresentation by providing a platform for short films that encompass, express, illustrate or open discourse around feminist principles and women’s experiences.
They’re looking for filmmakers to send a YouTube link of their short and 100-150 words about why it should be screened at the festival to firstname.lastname@example.org. All shorts must be 5-15 minutes in length and the deadline is 5pm Wednesday July 30th.
All the proceeds from the festival go to Sasane, a non-profit charity organisation in Nepal run by and for victims of sex trafficking.
So, go on! Get filming!
