In the past 24 hours, I've seen three celebrities being body-shamed online… and I just don't get it.

Why is this still happening? Why do people still feel the need to comment on a woman's weight?

Honestly, I don't have the answers.

In a recent article on Cosmo, alleged emails from Dr. Luke were leaked where he was complaining about Kesha's weight, and said he'd be better off if she was a machine and he could do whatever he wanted with her.

He wrote: "We were having a discussion on how she can be more disciplined with her diet. There have been many times we have all witnessed her breaking her diet plan. This particular time – it happened to be diet coke and turkey while on an all juice fast."

Kesha's manager, Monica Corina, replied that the singer is "a human not a machine," to which Dr. Luke responded, "if she were a machine that would be way cool and we could do whatever we want."

I get that Kesha is in an industry where a lot of emphasis is put on how she looks but, give her a break. If she wants to eat turkey, let her eat fecking turkey.

In case Dr. Luke hadn't noticed, the world is fighting against the idea of 'perfection' – women come in all shapes and sizes, and they're all beautiful.

Look at Ashley Graham, who just walked for Michael Kors at New York Fashion Week.

Being the first plus-size model to grace the designer's runway; she was celebrated and applauded for staying true to herself and not succumbing to what people like Dr. Luke think is 'the perfect size'. And fair play to her – it's the way we should celebrate every woman.

However, on the flipside, former model, Tara Reid, was blasted online for looking "too skinny" yesterday.

The model shared an innocent photo on Instagram of her holding her dog, who sadly passed away, but instead of people offering support, they focused on Tara's weight.

"No one is naturally that skinny, it doesn't look great and it's very ageing," wrote one user, while another quipped, "if she was my friend, I'd insist on her getting help."

Why do people, who don't even know this woman, feel the need to comment on her weight?

Are they doctors? Nutritionists? NO. They're not even her friends.

We need to realise that some people are skinny and some people carry a few extra inches – and that's all OK.

Another celebrity to be caught up in an online body-shaming torrent was controversially, Khloe Kardashian.

She was recently made an ambassador for Protein World, and her ad campaign suffered backlash, as people said it made women have "low self-esteem."

But, why? It seems like no matter what your body shape, people have a problem with it. Yes, it's air brushed (as all campaigns are) but, Khloe has curves, and she celebrates them. Yet, people say it's unrealistic.

Maybe it is, but if you exercise and eat well – is your goal not to be toned up? Just like it was Khloe's goal three years ago? She achieved it, and people are still condemning her for it.

She's been extremely vocal about being healthy, but maintaining her shape, so why are people so offended?

Whether you're big, small, short, or tall – everyone has a different body type. EVERYONE.

Why can't we get our heads around that? Why is commenting on people's weight still a thing? Why was it ever a thing? And, really, why can't we just get past it?

We all need to build a body-shaming bridge and get over it.

She a beautiful actress with a 20-year long Hollywood career under her belt.

But it seems that a recent round of pictures of Tara Reid has worried some of her loyal fans – with many claiming that she doesn't look well.

The 40-year-old was is currently in San Diego for the famed Comic-Con event.

Tara herself has been promoting her latest film, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens – taking to the IMDb yacht yesterday along with her fellow cast members.

Wearing a bright orange two-piece co-ord by WOW Couture, Ms Reid wore her blonde hair back off her face.

She smiled warmly for the duration of her appearance, but some of her fans nonetheless voiced their concern on social media.

"It's so terribly sad….she has beautiful eyes, a beautiful face…she looks so painfully thin that it just ruins everything," one wrote, adding: "I'm sure her body is suffering inside and out (hair falling out, brittle nails, skin problems, etc etc). I just wish she could put weight on and be happy.

"All these Hollywood actresses starving to death for what???"

Another said: "Tara Reid is a walking, visible example of how Hollywood can f–k you up."

The actress shared snaps from the event on Instagram, and confirmed that she was 'having fun'.

She was joined on the yacht by the film's director Anthony Ferrante as well as co-stars actors Cody Linley, Masiela Lusha and Ryan Newman.

As the star of such teen favourites as Van Wilder and American Pie, Tara Reid’s acting career always seemed promising, and while it may not have turned out exactly as we all expected, there’s no need to dig the knife in.

As much as we love her, this appears to be what The Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks did to Tara this week.

Opening up on her own path to success and her journey to stardom, Banks appeared to throw shade at Tara as she said: “There was a group of us girls coming up. A lot of us are surviving. Some of us are not. I used to go to auditions with Tara Reid. So, you know, we didn’t all make it. We’re not all still here.”

Burn. Poor Tara.

Elizabeth’s words quickly spread around the internet, and Tara’s response has broken our hearts a little bit.

Addressing the comments, Tara told entertainment site TMZ: “I’ve always been a fan of her work and that’s sad to hear she said those things about me.”

Poor Tara, we just want to give her a big hug now. While Elizabeth is fabulous, we wish she hadn’t publicly called out another actress like that.

Actress Tara Reid was enjoying some family time in Palm Springs yesterday over the Thanksgiving break. But some of the shots she shared on social media led to worried comments from fans about her increasingly slender frame.

The comments began when the American Pie star shared a snap of her standing at a window wearing only a pink and turquoise bikini. Although she seemed delighted to be relaxing in the sun, captioning the picture, "Visiting my parents house in Palm Springs for thanksgiving before the turkey," her followers soon began to express concern over her thin shape.

"You are too skinny," said one, while another comment read, "please get this girl a sandwich."

However other fans were quick to defend the 39-year-old actress, with one writing, "Her weight is her business. Stop being so judgmental. You don't know her story."

Tara didn't seem bothered by the comments, posting another message on Twitter later that day which read, "feeling good tonight."

She was clearly enjoying a relaxing day – even skipping out on evening arrangements with friends as she slept off her Thanksgiving dinner:

The actress has always had a slim frame and has defended her weight in the past, however her shape has drastically slimmed down over the last number of years. Recent snaps of her getting ready for Halloween in a short flapper-style dress also led to concerned messages from fans:

We hope she is doing okay!

Tara Reid claims that a ‘Sharknado’ could actually happen.

Say what?!

The actress – who starred in last year's cult Syfy film which features a tornado of sharks, says that it's a legitimate weather concern.

"You know, it actually can happen," she said.

"I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen actually. Which is crazy. Not that it — the chances of it are, like, you know, it's like probably 'pigs could fly'."

She went on to say that she didn't 'think' pigs could fly, but was certain that sharks could become engulfed in tornados.

"Like, I don't think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado," she added.

Tara is currently promoting the made for TV movie's sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One.

We can only guess what she’s going to say next!
