STORM DORIS

So, Storm Doris has been lashing into the contry, with dangerously high winds and a nasty smattering of sideways rain.

From cowering in our beds last night hoping the wind would quiet down so we could get some sleep to battling it out on the streets to reach the bus stop safely, Twitter is covering all the aspects of the storm that a weather report doesn't quite cover.

In case you hadn't had a chance to look outside, Ireland is currently experiencing some pretty extreme weather courtesy of Storm Doris. 

Met Éireann have issued a status orange weather warning, with most of the country being battered by heavy winds.

ESB are reporting massive power outages, with up to 46,000 homes being affected by faults all over the country due to the storm. 

Not only is the storm affecting Ireland's electricity supply but also the transport networks.

Aer Lingus has cancelled 12 flights this morning due to the high winds. 

A number of DART services have also been hindered by the storm, as fallen trees and debris on tracks are preventing certain services from operating.

However, according to Met Éireann winds will continue to lessen as the day goes on, as "winds continue to ease and it will be cold and mostly dry in midland and eastern areas with sharp frost."

By tomorrow morning, Storm Doris should have well and truly blown over.
