Benedict Cumberbatch has a very loyal fan-base and this proves it!

The actor featured as the cover star for British Airway’s magazine, High life, and the magazine has now sparked an online bidding war.

As the magazine is not for general sale, people have taken to Ebay in a bid to get their hands on the limited edition.

It is now £30 and if bidding continues it could rise even further.

The magazine features Benedict behind the wheel of a luxury convertible in a snowy Finnish background.

Benedict Cumberbatch thinks he is “over-exposed”.

The Star Trek Into Darkness actor – who has also recently appeared in Oscar-winner 12 Years A Slave and Sherlock thinks fans might be seeing a bit too much of him lately.

The actor said, “I’d hate to think anyone is sick of the sight of me, although I wouldn’t blame them. It’s just crazy. I’ve overexposed myself! Actually that sounds a bit dirty.”

However, the 37-year-old old actor said he takes great pride in his roles and feels “very fortunate” to be given the opportunity to star on the small and big screen.

“I’m proud of every single project. I can genuinely say that it is varied enough, as a slate, to not fear too much overexposure. I just hope the public agree because they are seeing a lot of me,” he said. “It would be really churlish to complain about anything to be honest. I’m very fortunate to be in the position I’m in.”

Entourage star Jeremy Piven was both “humbled and horrified” at a recent Q&A session where Mr. Selfridge and Sherlock were both on stage together.

The actor told Jimmy Kimmel how the session organisers forgot to say Mr. Selfridge when it came time for questions,

“They guide me to the stage in the dark and when the lights come on they say, ‘Please give your questions to Sherlock‘, and they forgot to say Mr. Selfridge. I am standing on stage while hundreds of people made their way to Benedict Cumberb****”.

However, Jeremy was quick to add his admiration for the actor and prove he was of course joking:

“By the way, he is a brilliant actor and a true gentleman and Sherlock is genius. I am a huge fan and he’ll never speak to me again.”

Photobombing is the new black these days.

With the Oscars full of (admittedly amazing) photobombs, celebrities really seem to be enjoying this new way to steal the limelight.

The most recent one was at a Lakers game in Los Angeles, where the camera went onto a cute couple in the audience and Anchorman‘s Will Ferrell decided to get a look in.

At least someone was laughing that night, considering the Lakers suffered their biggest loss of all time…

Everybody’s favourite detective show, Sherlock, might have had a different leading man.

During a new event hosted by BAFTA, which allows actors to speak at length about their careers, Benedict Cumberbatch opened up about his role as Sherlock Holmes.

Speaking about his thoughts before reading the script, the actor said: “I heard about it and thought that sounds like an idea to reinfranchise something to make money. It could be a bit cheap and cheesy.”

However, upon reading the script and hearing who was involved, he swiftly changed his mind: “Then I found out who was involved and I realised it wouldn’t be cheap and cheesy … I thought I would read it and then I fell in love with it.”

We are so, so glad you didn’t pass up the opportunity, Benedict; can you imagine anyone else as Sherlock? We can’t!
