Star slams Cheryl for being “fat-ist” in epic outburst

by

We’ve heard Cheryl Fernandez-Versini being referred to as a lot of things, but this is a new one on us!

Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes has slammed the X Factor judge in her latest column for Now magazine, calling her a “fat-ist” for picking the three slimmest contestants from her group to put through to the live shows.

While Chanelle admits that Cheryl has always been her favourite judge, she says that she has come to the conclusion that Cheryl is more concerned with her acts’ looks rather than their talent.

“Cheryl put through three singers who were petite, slim, fashion conscious and therefore seen as more socially ‘attractive’. Come on, Chezza, that’s a poor effort from you,” writes mother-of-one Chanelle.

Meow!

Chanelle seems to be particularly peeved at Cheryl’s decision to put Lauren Platt through over Kerriane Covell, adding: “I couldn't help but wonder whether this was because producers perhaps thought that us viewers would rather watch Lauren sing with her pretty face, thigh gap and cute little dress, rather than Kerrianne with her curvaceous figure paired with a tight culottes and vest combo.”

The 26-year-old closes her column by telling Cheryl not to be “a fat-ist”, adding: “Styles can be changed, outfits can be altered, weight can even be lost, but talent like theirs cannot be created”.

What do you think – is Chanelle overreacting or do you think Cheryl needs to address her “fat-ist” ways?!
