‘F*cking monster’: Chris Brown opens up about THAT moment

by

Seven years after Chris Brown was charged with felony assault for attacking his then girlfriend, Rihanna, the With You singer has opened up about the public's reaction to the shocking incident.

In a revealing new documentary entitled Welcome To My Life, the 26-year-old star admitted that the backlash from his fans and followers was almost too much to deal with.

Reflecting on the public's understandable reaction to the star's actions, Chris said he went from "America's Sweetheart to public enemy number one."

The singer, who pled guilty to the charge back in 2009, insists that he feels considerable guilt over his actions that night, insisting; "I felt like a f**king monster. I wasn't sleeping, I wasn't eating. I just was getting high."

With admirable honesty, the singer explained that he considered taking his own life during the darkest times in that period, saying: "I was thinking about suicide and everything else."

Appearing in the documentary alongside her son, Chris' mother, Joyce Hawkins, admits that it was an incredibly difficult time in their life, saying: "That was the worst day of my life and probably his life. I felt like I was going to lose my child."

Chris completed community service following his assault on Rihanna.
