8 random things every Irish girl has lying in her handbag
There is no accessory more sacred than the humble handbag. After all, not only does it look good hanging on your arm, but it also holds endless amounts of essential items… and a few non-essential items too.
Unless you're the type of person who regularly cleans out their handbag (if so, we're jealous) you probably have no end of random bits and bobs hanging around in there.
For example…
1. A handful of random coins
Enough to jangle around and get covered in fluff, but not enough to buy you anything significant.

2. A tampon with its wrapper missing
At one stage, this was a perfectly usable, wrapped-up tampon. Six months on it's no help to anyone.

3. Dublin Bus refund receipts
Even if you're from outside the Pale, we guarantee you have at least six bus tickets crumpled in your bag
If everyone went into Dublin Bus with every 'Refund Due' receipt they have ever had they would bankrupt the company…

4. An array of squished food
Common culprits: popcorn, single Minstrels, crushed chewing gum

5. Hairpins and hair bobbles galore
There's loads of 'em hanging around… until you actually NEED one of course

6. An almost-empty tin of Vaseline
But it'll never run out, because you keep forgetting it's there

7. A mystery key
Is it for your mam's house? Your bedroom window? The padlock on your suitcase? NO IDEA.
Just found a key in my hand bag and I have NO IDEA what its for hashtag the mystery

8. A broken biro*
*most likely leaking ink everywhere… you should clean that up ASAP
