A woman complained she was ‘too pretty’ and people were pissed off
Last week one writer posted her essay entitled People Judge Me Because I’m Pretty online.
A number of people did not take it very well. At all. Many felt that it missed the mark, and the internet therefore responded with passion.

Felicia is fed up of men staring at her on the street and laments her “blonde hair, big hazel eyes, 34DDs, and toned calves.”
She asks people to imagine how it feels to be scrutinised every time they leave their home. She writers: "It doesn't make me feel beautiful or sexy. It makes me feel like there's something wrong with me.”
She talks about how as a teenager she would dress down in order to take the attention off of her looks. Refinery29 has pointed out that this claim is “offensive” and when it comes to “catcalling or lecherous stares” on the streets, “places the blame on the victim”.

The idea behind the article appeared to be an attempt by Felicia to stop people making snap judgements about women purely based on their appearance.
The reactions she received online however seemed to do just that. Many comments on the article are focused on her physical appearance or else saw the negative aspects of her post.
One commenter said: "I think you're severely overestimating people's high opinions of you."
While another wrote: “She should have a better understanding of how not to portray herself as a total brat."
Plenty of others also weighed in on her piece:
